Not fit enough!
Ok, so I've been trying my best but I'm obese and running is really very difficult for me! I just can't run every time I'm prompted to so I've been running for the first 60 seconds, then just keep walking through the next run prompt and pick it back up the next time. Because I can't manage all the running, I'm doing all of…

Anyone in Scotland?
I'll be visiting in August, and I'm looking for a 5K to do while I'm there! I thought it make for a fun goal. :)

Food/eating question
Does anyone else have a hard time eating enough calories? I'm aiming for 1800-1900 a day and sometimes it's really hard to hit that number. I already feel like I'm constantly eating. I weigh, measure and log everything so I'm as accurate as I can get.

Week 3 Day 1 - Killed it!!!!

Notes for those using or consider using Runkeeper
After trying many different running apps I settled for Runkeeper. Here's a little review and some tips on how to make it work properly. The menu is not very intuitive and their own version of the C25K workout is rather rubbish, but where the free version of this app really shines is that you can create custom interval…

Starting C25K April
Hi Everyone - I'm starting C25k this week (beginning of April) and would love some company. If you are thinking about starting join in. We can keep each other motivated and be ready to run in one of those 5Ks by summer.

achilles tendon pain
Anyone else have achilles tendon pain? It started during/after Fridays run (w5 d2) and then today when I went to do the w5d3 workout, when I was done, I was limping. It hurts to walk but does loosen up some after a while. I am so disappointed because I was doing so well and was so excited to continue... any advice so I can…

Anyone else starting today?!
Heading to the gym and thinking of starting today! Anyone else?

What do you do on rest days?
im currently working out 6 days a week. 3 days of c25k and 3 days of strength training. Monday's are my day off but if I truly rest and take it easy I feel guilty. I know my body needs time to recoup but I have this fear that if I sit on the couch and rest I'll slowly get back into the mindset that I can do that everyday.

trying something new
I'm on week 7 day 2 of running two and a half miles in 35 minutes I may not run fast but at least I'm trying at the age of 59 I had to try something new

Frequency - repeating week 1 during rest days?
Hey, I'm enjoying doing C25K every other day, but some days I miss the burst of energy and was wondering whether on those it would be a good idea to do week 1 training, so it's less intense but I'm still able to get some movement into my day?

Soreness and recovery time
I ran my first 5K last weekend (woohoo!). It felt like an easy pace. I wasn't breathing hard, and I felt great at the end. Until the next day. I was sore for the next 3-4 days. I'm usually a slowpoke, but I finished the 5K in 30 minutes, which is a pretty fast pace for me. So, a few questions: Anybody else find that their…

Audio books
Last year when I did the C25k program, I had awesome playlists. This year, I'm going to try audio books - I'm thinking of starting with Mindy Kaling, or Tina Fey - as they are the narrators. Has anyone else been running with Audio books? I'm excited to start!

redoing couch to 10K right now
I orginally did C25k in 2008 (while on WW). Made me a runner for the first time in my life @37 yrs old. After I graduated I did a 5 k and then 4 months later my first half! I went on to do two more half's. Then I stepped wrong and got very hurt. Or something did the ortho didn't know. But fast forward add 50 lbs more from…

Week 6 Day 3 25min run
Well so far so good but I must admit the thought of the whole 25mins without stopping is a mind challenge. Due to lack of confidence which is the only thing I can put it down to I have got this far doing this on my treadmill at home only. The thought of going out running & not being able to keep going & making a fool of…

c210k question
Just wondering, I am almost finished (we 7 d3) c25k and am going to start the 10k version. Do I have to start from the beginning again as the program seems to be repeated for the first 7 weeks or can I start at week 8 day 1? Thanks:)

Just signed up :)
This is perfect, ive been wanting to start running for along time but wasn't sure how to start. A question though. For logging activities do I log running/walking or is there another category to add this exercise to? Also im in Canada and I was wondering if theres any c25k going on over here,or what would be the best way to…

In app calorie counter
Hey, I just have a question about the in-app calorie counter. I know these things are nowhere near exact, but I'd like to gain a better idea of how good it is. The app says I burned about 170 cals on Day 1 week 1, while my treadmill says I burnt 50cals, this is quite a large disparity and I'm not sure which one to lean…

Staring C25k at the beginning of March 2015
Hi Everyone - I'm planning on starting C25k at the beginning of March and would love some company. I did this two years ago and went from someone who thought I could never run to being able to run in a 10k (with some walking involved). I'm not a natural runner and it often takes me more than 1 week at each level - but…

W5D3. Are you freaking kidding me!
Just finished W5D2. No one is more astonished that I am that I could run 8 mins... TWICE. Then I looked ahead to D3. Really. 20 mins. Do people often go straight to that from W5D2? Are they often successful? I'm willing to slow it down a bit, but even so thst seems kinda out there. Am I wrong? I was wrong about W5D2. I did…

Pace
I know I shouldn't be concerned with my speed but it's really annoying to me. I want to be faster. I've had to slow down in order to be able to complete the jogging intervals without having to do additional walk breaks. Just being impatient I guess. Is it just me or do others have this issue too?

week 5 day 2 help!!!!
I'm stuck. I made it through the first 8 minutes and then sort of walk ran the next 8. I'm scared , discouraged, but also pretty amazed I ran 8 minutes straight. How do I do this. And the next run is 20min.

100+ lbs to lose and on C25K
Just done week one, day two of the c25k and I managed it all! I actually cheered when I finished the last run, much to the bemusement of the dog walkers. My little doggy is muddy and knackered. I didn't realise how busy our park is at 6am. Please friend me if you are on the same journey

Starting c25k this Tuesday

just started out
So I just started out. I'm still trying to find the right app for this program (any free or not too expensive recommendation appreciated, but it should include stats and show improvements) and I do wonder how to go on. I did the first three days on RunKeeper, which required me to do a 2.41km walk/light run 8 intervals of…

C25k progress update
So I started with C25k in August and "ran" my first 5k in October at a time of 42:53. I put run in quotes cause it was a hilly rough course mostly on grass/trails (yeah not a great first one lol). Spent all winner running on the treadmill, partly following the c210k and partly doing just my own thing. Yesterday ran my…

Ragnar in April, Disney 1/2 in September...
I weigh 224lbs, 5'5". I am on Week 3, Day 3 of C25K - as mentioned in previous threads, I did not think I could run for 3 min straight, twice, but I did. In fact, I added an extra minute of running to the back end of the 2nd 3 min run. Looking ahead to 20m+ straight runs seems impossible, but with every 'impossible' that I…

Any suggestions for learning running form?
I'm on Week 3, Day 2 and wondering if I'm running with goof form. At this point, all I focus on is keeping my back straight, and soft footfalls (as much as I can!) to lower the impact. I am considering the SafeRun run analysis program several universities have put together--perhaps soon, perhaps when I've completed the…

You are at work and all you can think about is running.
