You should - as long as you're consuming enough protein throughout the day based on your individual caloric needs. Like others have mentioned, the "1-2 hour window" for protein intake after you workout isn't necessary.

No, unless you're eating 3500 calories worth of that food. It could very well just be a weight fluctuation - happens all the time and is normal.

Evening...I wish it was mornings but I'm just not a morning person.

I don't see why some people in this thread are being so critical about her decision to cut out dairy products. If she wants to eliminate dairy products then that is her decision. All she wanted was brand suggestions, not your opinion on eliminating dairy from the diet. My favourite dairy free brands are Silk for almond/soy…

I also have a sweet tooth and I really enjoy baking, so the best way I've been able to satisfy my sweet tooth is to make my own treats. This way I can control/track what goes into them and what ingredients are used. You can find a lot of "healthier" ingredient substitutions and recipes online - especially Pinterest!

Raw veggies and hummus

Squats - there's so many variations!
-
10k run.. A little rainy but at least the temperature was above zero.

Lately I've been experimenting with "raw" vegan baking - it's not really baking since there's no oven involved but it's interesting to see how you can still make treats that are just as yummy using fresh ingredients! Here's an awesome website to check out: http://www.thisrawsomeveganlife.com/p/recipes.html#.VQm8z2TF8rO

Nut butters - healthy fats and calorie dense!
-
I like Clif bars but they're too high in calories for a "bar" snack for me. I'll have one if I'm out and about I need something quick as a meal replacement. I prefer to make my own energy/granola bars!

A low carb diet will do that to you. Instead of cutting carbs out completely, focus on eating high quality carbs...like whole grains, fruits, vegetables. Carbs are the most important energy source for the body!

Custard/Pudding...absolutely hate the texture

I'd consider it fast food. Unless it's homemade, of course.

A couple Timbits...I couldn't say resist. All my fellow Canadians will understand!

Nut butters (peanut, almond, cashew)...preferably by the spoonful

Overnight oats! Oats, chia seeds and soy milk with some combination of banana, blueberries, peanut butter, cocoa powder, maple syrup, cinnamon etc. as add-ins. Prep at night and stick it in the fridge for the morning :)

Taught Zumba!

I have trouble with this too...the elliptical on off days just isn't the same!
-
Homemade - just peanuts!

What's his reasoning for thinking elliptical is not a form cardio? Cardio is any form of aerobic exercise..which the elliptical would definitely be since you're doing it for an extended period of time.

If I can I usually run a couple hours after I wake up/eat in the morning (ideally). If not then it's usually before I eat dinner. It really just depends on my school/work schedule because it's always changing.

Story of my life! I try to eat more on my longer run days, but I still feel like I'm always hungry.

Lululemon. Not the cheapest and the quality used to be better, but they're still top notch.

-14C and windy...just a little chilly! It was a nice trail run though.

Starbucks addict here! If I get an espresso-based drink I usually get it half-sweet, soy, and with no whip (yes I'm one of those people...) and it easily cuts half of the drink's cals.

This blog has a ton of yummy treats that are actually nutritious. It's my go to..and I have a huge sweet tooth! http://www.thisrawsomeveganlife.com/p/recipes.html#.VJOEVWTF8rN

I have a huge sweet tooth and I love baking...so I started experimenting with "raw" vegan baking. A lot of the recipes use dates (naturally sweet) and maple syrup instead of added sugars. The treats satisfy my sweet tooth and are made from ingredients that are actually good for you, so it's a win-win. Here's a really good…
