I used to be able to eat a half a Papa Murphy's Family Size stuffed pizza by myself. Now, I can MAX 2 slices. *flexes muscles*
I'm not proud of this, but I used to (regularly) order and eat potato wedges, chicken strips, a large pizza and a tub of ice cream, from Pizza Hut. I always planned to eat the wedges and strips one night, and the pizza the next. never happened. and when pizzas were on bogoff, i used to order 2, planning to eat one, save one. nup, that never happened either. I am such a pig!
I'm not proud of myself...but I have days where I can eat the world. Like, disgustingly huge amounts of food. Not sure how it all fits in there...but yeah. Kinda gross.
Yerp. Some days it's like an abyss... a black hole sucking it all in while simultaneously remaining unsatisfied and craving moooore. >_<0 -

Also, sometimes I just really want a McD's cheeseburger. The little one. I almost never actually spend 400+ calories on that little bugger, but yeah. That's the only non-breakfast thing I'll eat there, along with a hot fudge sundae. Heh
Confession. I haaate the word parfait. Not sure why.... but it could be the best thing on earth and I wouldn't order it if I had to say the name when ordering.
I'm not really sure what a parfait is? Is it like yoghurt? All I can think of is 'perfect' since I'm bilingual French. I'm sure a proper French person would know what a parfait food thing is, but I spent most of my childhood enjoying Marmite and toad in the hole and endless English stodge.
Google peanut butter parfait from dairy queen. It's layers of peanuts, chocolate, ice cream with whipped cream on top. So good (although you will be sick if you eat the whole thing). I don't know what the technical definition is but it must be something along the lines of layers of food/treats or something. And it probably is for 'perfect'.
No, really you won't. I speak from experience.
Dairy Queen in Canada seems to have replaced the fancy sundaes with the hot dessert treats. No more turtle sundaes for me.
I used to eat them as a kid all the time. I had to shove the end in as I would be nauseous from the sweetness but I loved it so much I had to finish it. I haven't had one in probably 20+ years.0 -

My confession? I don't eat pork anymore (for a variety of reasons) and haven't done for about 15 years. The thing i miss the most? McDonald's sausage, egg and cheese mcmuffin.
A life without Canadian bacon, or regular bacon for that matter is scary lol.
May I ask the reasons?
Mmmm Canadian bacon and pancetta... Everything else pork is pretty much meh to me.
Chorizo ???? Yummmmmm....0 -

I know it's still months away, but I just love that time of year so much...the weather, the fun decorations, the candy, picking out our son's costume and trick or treating with him! He woke up this morning telling me he wants to be a French fry this year. He was a piece of pizza last year!! His first Halloween, he was Superman. Second one, he was a dinosaur, and then last year was the pizza. I'll post pictures in the batcave later. I get ridiculously excited about picking out his costume and I will be pumped if I can find a French fry for him!
I used to really like Halloween. I do like seeing the kids out trick or treating. But now I avoid being home...I always forget to get candy, or if I do I have SO MUCH and I end up giving it away at work so I don't have to eat it. I have friends and sisters who go all out even as adults. But I definitely want to see your pictures! I would think making a french fry would be kind of easy? Not sure though...0 -

It resets to that every day. I like it, too. But when I change my pic, I want it to stay changed. That's the part that is really perturbing, not the photo itself.
Plus, that bicep is months old. I like to think they are even more impressive now.0 -

Same here. Then, once the eat-the-world feeling wears off, I feel so disgustingly sick/full and my stomach feels like it wants to pop, and I wonder how I could have gotten to this point of fullness without feeling the discomfort beforehand. I have no idea how it happens! It's like my stomach goes numb for a while, then suddenly feels everything at once.

You aren't a 'pig'. This is purely emotional eating. That is different. I have never been much if a binge eater, but rather someone who eats a good amount of really fattening food and can eat it all day long. And sweets. But, I have never been able to eat more than like 4 pieces of pizza and then I am SO STUFFED!0 -
Confession: Yesterday I went to the gym and swam for 30 minutes, and also walked, and was at a nice calorie deficit under my goal. I came home and binge-ate a giant cookie, handfuls of special K cereal straight from the box, a couple slices of lunchmeat, and a homemade peanut butter nut bar. And probably other food I've forgotten about. Oops! There went that day0

MY SO probably has a similar issue. He's been having a lot of trouble with episodes of muffled hearing in one ear and takes an antihistamine daily, but the ear nose & throat specialist thinks it is a jaw problem rather than ear or sinus. He's supposed to see his dentist about getting a mouth guard thingy to wear at night.
I already wear a mouth guard thingy because I grind my teeth at night, so I'm a little too thrilled that he will have to wear one too. Really I'm hoping that it helps with his awful snoring.
Please let me know if this does work because Mr. Mo snores like a freight train carrying a pod of humpback whales using chainsaws.
Bahahaha! I'm lucky in the fact that both my husband and I are silent sleepers, I guess.

I'm finally caught up on 550+ posts, but I read fast so I'm sure I missed something.
I got sick over the long weekend - woke up at 3am Saturday morning to throw up, spent the rest of the day sleeping and feverish. I'm just starting to feel normal today, and I'm really ticked I missed out on my long weekend. No shopping with my mom, no hiking with my dog, no going to watch my friend's husband's band play, no drinks on the patio. I demand a do-over. Can we make the next 3 days a weekend, please?
My parents were over to help work on the patio Saturday (with just my brother & his girlfriend, since I was unable to help) and it was nice to have my mom there. Even though I'm 30 and haven't lived at home for 8+ years, she made me soup and took care of me while she was there. Maybe I should be a bit embarrassed but it was nice lol.
But my poor mom ended up with it Saturday night - not from me, we'd been at my aunt's house the same night, where I'm sure we picked it up from.
Glad you're starting to feel normal again. I LOVE it when my mom, or anyone really, takes care of me when I'm not feeling well. It gives you time to rest without having to worry about everything that needs to be done. Don't be embarrassed. Be thankful!
Very true! I am thankful. I don't think anyone else would've remembered that my dog needed supper, and if she hadn't brought soup from home I don't think I would've eaten anything all day. It's not something I keep in the house, but I really should.
Edited because it bolded incorrectly.
Are you all better today?
Yes. I was still a little off this morning, but I'm feeling almost 100% now!
She could just get married in Nashville the weekend of CMM 2016. We're having a Confession Time weekend there already, right?

Last night the mancreature slept on the couch because I stole the bed (was passed out by the time he got back from a late hockey game, apparently I wasn't moving...) I woke up at 5am to get ready for my run to find that there was no one to crawl over. I was kinda miffed at him haha0

I eat straight out of the container ALL THE TIME. Also, I can down a pint of ice cream like nobody's business.
This is why I HAVE to use my food scale and a separate container. If I sit down with the container in hand, it is empty when I get back up. One of the hardest habits to break for me. Good luck.
Likewise. I hate paying for single serve portions because the cost per ___ is sooo much higher. But it does help me keep my portion controls in check.0 -

This reminds me of that show that was on the Beeb a few months ago (with that Dr Chris Tuleken chap??) about 3 different types of eaters and specific 'diets' to suit them. One group was the over-eaters who literally didn't get the hormone signal telling them they were full like most people did. Apparently it was a scientifically measurable thing. I take these TV science things with a pinch of salt, but I have known people like that. I think the solution for the over-eaters was a low GI diet since it was meant to be very filling and to sort out hormonal issues. It sounds a difficult problem to have!
I'm more of a grazer. I rarely eat a large meal, but I'd happily eat crap food 6 times a day and gradually put myself 1000+ calories over where I should be, yet never consume more than 200 calories in one go. The solution they put forward for people like me was the 5:2 fasting which is seriously not happening. I found switching snacks for fruit and a little bit of cheese far more effective!0 -
I'm still working on getting caught up.
I went on a walk at lunch yesterday with a co-worker so that was good. I'm thinking about walking again today.
I have today and then half a day tomorrow for work so I'm in vacation mode already. This weekend I have my Red Rocks concerts so I'm really excited (Pretty Lights Friday and Saturday). Hopefully no one laughs at me since I'm older but I bought jewels for my face so I'm going to put those on and I have Glowbys for my hair (fiber optic glow barrettes for hair). I'm just going to have fun. I'll try to post a pic in the batcave from my phone later of my trial run of the jewels to see what you guys think.
Friday morning we are going to Original Pancake house. Strawberry waffles and home fries here I come. Yay.
Cool! I used to be a raver and did all the decked out gear at one time. I've been an EDM DJ for over 5 years. I remember when Pretty Lights was just an up-and-coming midliner. Now he headlines all of his shows. Do you by chance like Bassnectar? He is always doing shows at RR.0 -

Stress can do a number on you. It can show up on the scale and how you feel about that number. If the stress is bad enough, you won't care what the scale says. Just try and focus on keeping to your macros. Maybe pre log for a few days and try to keep on track?0 -

I'd be thrilled to find something to help my husband's snoring! OMG, it's awful!!
More than once I have been commended for my lack of snoring. I guess my past girlfriends had been with some real log sawing fellas. I'm a very light snorer at best. Even my 10 year old snores louder than me.
Do you hear that ladies? Non-snorer here...
Another sign of old age is that non-snoring has become a very attractive quality in a partner.
Yes, I've been with some really loud fellas in my time. Actually, I can only think of one who was a quiet sleeper. Which sucks because I'm a chronic insomniac.
One of my exes also had restless leg syndrome so I got kicked in addition to the racket.0
