It was mine too. I actually took that one in my parking lot as I was leaving for my mom's. I thought it was perfect.1 -
I lost 3 ounces in hair last week. 14 inches of hair is 3 whole ounces. I ought to stick that in the weight loss thread. I'm full of useful tips.7

I was up to 175.4 Monday, after all the eating over the weekend. Down to 170.2 this morning. Whew! Only water weight!8

Yep, it is definitely busy at the end of the school year. I guess that is part of why we are quiet in here? Things are going ok and we are looking at some property. If that goes through, we will be building a house soon.3

My new bed is getting delivered today! It has a adjustable base, so I can set it up to read it bed. No more scrunching pillows against the headboard and trying to get them just right. It also has massage, which was weird at first, but as I laid on it awhile I really like it!1

It's not Tempurpedic brand, but same idea. Memory foam and latex foam and something else. I lay (lie? I never get that right) on my right side, and my hip will get painful during the night. I hope the new mattress will fix that.0 -

You are going to loooovvve it. We have had ours for a few years now and I love it. The only issue I have, and it may be just my hormones, is I will get hot and need to move so the bed can cool down where I was lying.0 -
Heya! Our place is starting to get organized, we bought some secondhand furniture for now with the rest of the damage deposit given back to us from the last rental. A couch, a recliner and a bookshelf for under $200? Yes please! Thrifting is quickly becoming the go to with Martin being laid off and all.4

I have a happy confession. My dad has never been very demonstrative. He's not talkative and I never felt we communicated much. He's hard working and shows his love by doing, not saying. He's really amazing, but I can count on one hand the number of hugs/kisses we've shared since I became an adult. Not complaining, just laying some foundation.
Since I started powerlifting, my dad has become very interested in my progress. He's talking with me about different aspects of it, wants updates on my competitions, and is telling my grandparents (his parents) about what I'm doing. It makes my little girl heart swell, knowing my dad is so proud of me. (I just teared up, typing that.)9 -

That is great, Quik!! My dad was the same about not being demonstrative. I think after my mom passed, he figured out he better start showing it a bit more. He did and I was really grateful for it.4 -

Awwwww that is so great! My dad is exactly the same way. They only communication we have is about work or beekeeping. I don't really have much to communicate in terms of my life, so I let him do most of the talking and I ask questions to keep the conversation going.0 -

I am the same. I get eye rolls and denigrating comments from my mom on my degrees and sports activities. I've given up hoping for support. I like to imagine my dad would have been proud. She does ask about the horses now so that is progress.
I'm glad your dad is showing you support. I can only imagine he was wildly proud of you before but nice he is finally expressing it.4 -

Aw, shoot! I forgot to weigh this morning. Possibly for the best, stress is through the roof. My daddy had a mini stroke yesterday. They are doing a battery of tests today and I am sitting at my desk pretending to work.0 -

Thanks, Quik! I appreciate it. Pray for the nursing staff. There is a picture of my dad next to "problem patient" in the nursing dictionary. He doesn't want to wear the EKG leads. He was trying to pull his IV access out last night. He does want his chewing tobacco that he can't have.1 -

Sorry to hear about your Dad Mel. If it helps, my Nan has mini strokes and apart from waking up 'feeling odd' she says she is fine. Sending positives vibes to you and the nursing staff.0
