    Thursday:
    1. 12,000  12,553
    2. lift heavy things  didn't go to the gym, but spent 3 hours plowing a field with a GIANT plow; it counts
    3. under 100 G carbs  101 G

    Friday
    1. 12,000
    2. dance under the stars!
    3. lots of veggies...I am being purposefully vague since I'm likely going to eat dinner out...
No. 2 for Thursday most definitely counts!

Thank you fellow farmer! It was one of those huge Honda plows that is meant to be used by two strong men.

I got tired of waiting for the men at my community garden to take care of the project. Some people don't understand that things need to be planted on a time-table and that if you wait too long, things won't grow...

OK, I've been on a hiatus also. I'm doing this little yo-yo thing in the midst of about as much stress in every direction as I think I've ever been thru. Hopefully the key word is THRU--i.e., I will come out on the other side.

Eating has been ok--not great, not excessive--just sort of BLAH and not enthusiastically "weight loss minded". I got down to 115, went up to 118, down again to 115, then up to 117, now I am at 116 and just need to bust back down thru that 115 mark and keep going :)

It is finally sunny here...and walking feels good. We are all sick (all 10 of us) :# and we are cranking thru the chicken broth, garlic, and vitamins...--so, exercise is with rather wimpy effort, but the vitamin D of sunshine would probably be soothing.

    Just for Today:
    1. Drink lots of good fluids
    2. Get a nap
    3. Go for a walk and have time in sun.
    4. Lay on deck in sun and read (maybe that's the place for the nap too!)
    5. Plant my brocolli, cabbage, brussel sprouts etc IF I feel like it
    6. Go to bed early coz I have to leave house at 6 a.m. Saturday.

Hope you all have a lovely Friday!

Hey, Rae, I think several of us are feeling BLAH, so, come be with us and something will happen to cheer us all up. :) I am sure many of the "Just for Today" folks MISS you!!!!

@joan: That is so wonderful to hear that you are doing better at avoiding sugar! You are really working hard, and are an encouragement to many.

@lcbourdo: I think we have all been in places where we utterly just have to force ourselves to put one foot in front of the other, and force ourselves to do the one GOOD thing that we need to at the moment. I know I would be nowhere if it were not for the grace of God and strength of His son's life in me. So, the best I would like to say to you again, is: God's grace to you to give you desire and strength to do your stretching/swimming---remember, remember, remember how you had such good results previously of no painkillers!

P.S. Making your bed in the morning is one of the most incredible things you can do to start your day: It is a brief success that can spur you on thru the day to accomplish other disciplines...and at the end of the day, it is special to go to rest in a neat, peaceful atmosphere that you created hours ago!! Super idea!!

I usually make my bed every morning, but if my sweetheart is still in it when I leave in the morning, it gets made when I get home, or before I go to bed. I get cranky if my blankets are disheveled or not square on the bed.

Hi all.. sorry been away working all week and although have been tracking my (over)eating, after 14 hour days have not had energy to enter into the thread.
Been a tough week with some poor eating.
And I'm back and went straight to bootcamp yesterday to get back into it.

    So... JFT
    - I will eat carefully during the day and make sensible choices tonight when at a friend's for dinner
    - I will make a veggie juice to last a few days
    - I will either garden or do the cleaning
    - I will allow myself downtime and to rest

    Happy weekend.
    :-)

Just back from a week-long vacation in the wild. Due to the different food (enjoyable as it was), I have developed blisters on my tongue - and the good news is I won't be able to each much today haha. I pledge, just for today:

    1. To stay within my MFP calorie limit
    2. To stay clear of spicy foods
    3. Walk for 30 min and stretch for 15 minutes
    4. Drink 3L of water
    5. Eat one banana and one different fruit

    New here! Love this concept!
    JFT -
    1. Drink my water
    2. Finish a project (I have a way of starting things and not finishing!)
    3. Get 10,000 steps

Not too many today as we r going on a picnic smack in the middle of the day. So I will start small here. What a great idea!

I agree...sort of BLAH to fall into a messy bed after a strenuous day. :s Nicer to feel "welcomed" into sleep!!!!
P.S. Hope you find something in your day that inspires you, like all of the beautiful flowers and trees starting to blossom out, or....something!!! :)

Hmmmm... was way over target on Saturday (great dinner and drinks at a friend's and was great to let my hair down for once) but much better today
And have achieved the other goals over 2 days rather than one.
    Okay - ish. ..
