Talenti Coffee Toffee is much better than the Coffee Choc Chip0 -

have not tried the NOLA one ….but if you get anything from NOLA you want to get beignets from cafe dumonde
I wasn't a fan of the Steve's. The donuts were stale and tasteless to me, but the coffee ice cream part was good.
I'm just not a huge Steve's fan. The base is too hard for me. I did really like the Southern Banana Pudding though.
Yes, that one I did like, and the Mexican Chili Chocolate. I'm still waiting to find the Sunday Morning.0 -
What the Hello Kitty?!? How are you getting these flavors Miss R? I'm getting jealous....0

That sounds amazing.
Apparently there's a place here that makes it fresh. Planning a trip with a friend!0 -

Which ones, the Steve's? That one I found at fancy shmancy Balducci's, and also at the Frederick Co-Op. The new Talenti flavors I got at Giant.0 -

WAY better than Marianne's and slightly better than Penny Ice Creamery. We have good ice cream here in Santa Cruz, almost as good as Boston. I'm talking about you, JP Licks & Toscaninini's.
OK then. I will have to find some Mission Hill, even if it means a drive to Santa Cruz! (which I'll do for Turkish Coffee ice cream!)
Just found out the Fresh Market in Palo Alto is closing - which was the source of my Gelato Fiasco, Jeni's, etc. But also discovered that Mission Hill is sold at Whole Foods on the Peninsula. Guess I will have to pay a visit!

Giant?!? Are you yanking my chain? Hmmm. . .something is rotten in Eastern US. . . . yes our problem is limited supply. Fart nuggets. . . .0

My co-worker brought carrot cake muffins to work (a.k.a. sabotage). I was so busy I didn't get to indulge at work but managed to snag one one the way out. Warmed up a bit and topped with a creamy, melty scoop of oatmeal raisin gelato, it was heavenly. I will be thanking the saboteur tomorrow.

Great, grab some Mission Hill for sure, also have you heard of Polar Bear? - another excellent Santa Cruz ice cream I forgot to mention but still not quite as good as Mission Hill. More mass produced but cheaper...0 -

I'm joining. Even if it's sometimes as little as 2 tablespoons a day, I can fit it in. I need more fats.

I don't go crazy over peanuts so I don't know if I would be crazy about the gelato. But I love caramel..hmm. I bet the oatmeal raisin cookie would be surprising. I don't really like oatmeal cookies but I think there is an oatmeal cookie Ben and Jerry's that I love.0 -

I think others have already said the oatmeal cookie is meh, but I like some that have been thumbed down so I'm hopeful. Saving the raspberry cheesecake for a rainy day..

Okay, I have joined the group! Not sure I can commit to the Spring Cleanse, cos a) it's Autumn , and b) I have a couple of busy weeks of stuff that I need to bank any spare calories for, so fitting gelato in every day would be a stretch .
But is it wrong that I planned a gelato crawl (like a pub crawl, but with gelato) in my head tonight? I can think of 8 places off the top of my head within walking distance of my house that I can get little cups or cones of gelato. One is in completely the other direction of all the others, but hey, exercise! Then there's two cinemas and two pizzerias that do single serves also within walking distance. And then four supermarkets that sell litre tubs...
I mean, I wouldn't actually do it, but a girl can dream, right??0 -

I would do a Gelato crawl in a heartbeat!0 -

Trust me, I did do the calculation on just how many I could visit in one day and not be over (taking into account the cals burnt with the walking of course, but that really only allowed for one more stop at best, unless I include the outlier in the wrong direction).0 -
Can I ask you guys...How often do you eat only one serving of ice cream/gelato? My minimum is 1.5 servings.0

Never, but my cals are high

Pretty much always. Even if I have enough calories for more than that I'd rather have gelato and a couple of cookies or something else.0 -

Yeah, I actually planned for some toast and peanut butter as well and only one serving of gelato tonight.0
