Nope. I measure (weigh) out my 100 grams, put away the pint, and go into another room to sloooooowly eat my one serving. When the bowl is licked clean, into the dishwasher it goes!
Yeah, this.0 -

ETA, Mission Hill is $7 at my store - guess that's a deal
Tried a bit of the Ricotta Fig last night. Very good - very creamy and rich. Both the ricotta and fig flavors were a little muted by vanilla and cinnamon in the ice cream, but it was very, very yummy as was.
Side note: Not sure how to log it. The pint lists a serving size as 4 oz (88g). Of course, 88g is only a bit over 3 oz. Emailed the creamery but I am guessing that the serving size should actually be 1/2 cup (88g).
They probably mean 4oz in volume, which is half a cup. Crazy Americans and their ounces for weight and volume... not confusing at all
I've seen fantastic flavors at Whole Foods too but I'm too cheap to pay $7 or $8 a pint.0 -

Ahhh - so 4 fluid ounces! Yeah that makes sense (even if not a fluid").
And yes, the price of some of these ice creams / gelatos makes them a special treat, and something I sort of have to do unconsciously ("no, no dear . . . I didn't just spend $30+ on a few pints of ice cream").

Even at my heaviest I couldn't get past half a pint. But weight it, put it back in the freezer, profit.0 -

If I don't weigh out my portion I definitely have.0 -

Just another reason to keep your portion size responsible!

This.
I was really disappointed this weekend, because I was walking home past the Jeni's on my street Friday night around 10:30 pm and decided it would be a good time to go in and buy a pint or two of some flavor not sold at WF, as it was only March and couldn't be crowded yet. Yeah, right--March, in the 50s, and the beginning of St. Patrick's Day (observed) weekend in Chicago meant a line halfway down the block.
Some day I will go!0 -
Watch out for some Blue Bell bars.
I'm really going to miss winter because I'm going to have to start lugging around a cooler or something anytime I want more ice cream variety than my crappy Krogers provides.

I have a baby spoon from when my eldest was a baby that I use for things like gelato and ricotta (things I will pile drive into my face hole). I take much smaller bites and enjoy it far more.0

I have the Talenti Southern Butter Pecan to try tonight. Good?0

I'm probably going to get kicked out for saying this, but:
The Haagen Dazs salted caramel is better than the Talenti salted caramel.
I did get Talenti hazelnut, too - so I have another to try.0 -

The Ben and Jerry's salted caramel core is awfully good, but Talenti is easier to fit in my calories at this point.
Still trying to achieve what I'm looking for in Hazelnut frozen treats. I have a plan for tonight and will report back in group. Spoiler alert: it involves mixing.0 -

Yeah I didn't like the HD version at all. It was much too sweet for me.0 -

Incredible in my opinion.

I can totally see that. It's the caramel ribbon running through it that really makes me enjoy it more. I don't know why. I do really like both - I just find myself reaching for the HD more often.0 -

Have you tried the HD Pralines and Cream? It's probably my favorite ice cream at the moment. It has a caramel ribbon that's to die for-- although it's been so long since I had the salted caramel that I'm not sure if it's the same.0 -

I don't believe it, either.
It's good! It's really creamy and has a fairly strong caramel flavor.
I'm not saying the Talenti isn't delicious, just that I prefer the HD. I'm probably in the minority there0 -

I like those chocolate covered caramels, too. One of my good friends told me she thought the HD was better than the Talenti, and I almost dropped her! I think I tried it once, maybe I'll buy it again to be sure. For SCIENCE!0 -

Yeah, you get it and let me know. I never buy HD. Doesn't call to me.0 -
I would probably love the HD one, but it's just too many calories. My favorite HD flavor is still caramel cone, but I do love praline and cream too!0

Wait, what? Chocolate covered caramels? I didn't get any of those! I guess I need to eat more.
Also the HD gelato vs the Talenti is a 40 calorie difference (at least for this particular flavor).0 -

Did you only eat one serving? There are little chocolate covered caramels in there. nom.0
