    Hi gals, just wanted to say 'Hi' since I haven't been checking in lately.
    I let the busy summer get the best of me, and I've gained weight and am having trouble getting back into a good 'diet' routine. I need to find something to get me motivated again. I just have no desire to track right now or plan, both of which I know I need to do to have success.

    Same with me! Keep checking in. My daughter is back to school on Thursday. I hope to get back to my routine too. You've got this!!!

    Nice to see you all checking in. I gained this spring with a sedentary job and I have been struggling to get it off this summer. So I understand, 1stPaul.
    Did you stay within your nutritional goals? Yes
    Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? yes except for water
    What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? I squeezed in everything I needed to yesterday, weight training, grocery shopping cooking dinner, appointment and errands. I had to take my exercise from 60 to 45 minutes but I did it.
    What would I have done differently? water again!
    What is today's personal goals? 1 hour exercise 6 days a week, water, healthy food

    Sun- need some exercise today - 45 minute walk
    Mon - Aquafit - 60 minutes
    Tues - walk or weight training - 45 minutes of weight training
    Wed - Aquafit - 70 ninutes
    Thurs - walk or weight training -
    Fri - walk or weight training -
    Sat - Aquafit my favorite teacher says she won't be there for 3 Saturdays just when I am about to start my job and can't go to the morning weekday ones after I start

    Hello again :-) I haven't checked in in over a week but I haven't given up on my efforts. I have stayed under my caloric limits this entire time. Exercise has been spotty, but not horrible. With my daughter going back to school on Tuesday it gives me time to focus on myself again.

    Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? I didn't have a specific goal but if I had made one it would have been to go to the gym, which I did
    What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? Finished a BodyPump class (Yay!)
    What would I have done differently? Nothing
    What is today's personal goals? Eat well, rest my muscles. I might do a bit of cardio just to be active but not a hard workout... my body is so sore I couldn't do much!

    NEW GW at the end of the Summer 9/22: I want to be at 230 lbs.

    Sun - Nothing
    Mon - Walked for hours at Michigan Ren Fest
    Tues - 30mins Spinning, C25K W1D1 (Wonder if my butt will ever recover!)
    Wed - 1 hr BodyPump class (Now my entire body aches!)

    What would I have done differently? water again, make dinner at home, it was my first day at my new job training

    jsandie -- Good luck with C25K! I have an acquaintance who did this and is now running 1/2 marathons! She loves it!

    What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? I did my first REAL squat!!!!
    What would I have done differently? Nothing, I would have LOVED to do another BodyPump class, but my body would have been VERY upset with me

    Well I got on the dreaded scale this morning. My Nutritionist recommended that I weigh in only
    once week, but I think I will go back to weighing everyday. For me it keeps me accountable,
    and I can get a handle on what I am eating and what to cut back on. So I gained 3.4 lbs.
    from last week's weigh in. Now I am up 8.2 lbs to get down to my ticker weight. So my
    goal is to get down to my ticker weight. I will not change it, it gives me a goal to reach.
    I will continue with weights 3 times a week and cardio on the other days, and Sunday as
    a rest day. Lets all be honest here, we are in the same boat trying to sail to victory and

    my diary last night. That will also be changing.

    What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? Still taking care of my daughter's cat while she is
    on vacation. He is a little devil with a cute face. :tongue:

    What are today's personal goals? Cardio today- done, drink my water, make good choices

    ON GOING GOAL: GET BACK TO MY TICKER WEIGHT

    Mon - Labor Day holiday-sailed back from club cruise
    Tues - Pedometer Steps 1.4 miles
    Wed - Walking 45 min
    Thurs - Upper body weights 30 min
    Friday- Biking 61 min - 10 miles
    Sat - Lower Body Weights 30 min
    Sun- Rest Day

    What is today's personal goals? Eat well, and keep emotions (and emotional eating) in check when son comes over for first time in a month and a half

    Sorry all.......I've been MIA. I've been logging in now and then but not consistently and certainly not making good food choices like I was and I gained a lb this week. I would just not log my weigh in if I had a gain and decided that was not helping me to I logged the gain. I wish it would have said that I had weighed in and had a GAIN of .8 lbs. Oh well......I just did! I've GOT to get back into my mfp routine and checking in and posting with you gals! You keep me honest! I've spent a couple of days changing out from summer to fall merchandise at the hospital gift shop that i volunteer at and I'm SOOOOOO sore! Climbing ladders, reaching, and squatting to display areas etc. Made me realize if I'm going to be able to hike and MOVE in 10 years I'd better get this under crontrol now. I need a serious butt chewing!

    I am checking in regularly here but this is one of the few times I did it in the morning which it is designed for I think.
    Dahlia, I only post my low weights on here and only post a gain when I know it isn't going away soon. It is more motivating for me that way. If the gain is taking some time to get rid of then it helps me to record it and see it disapear. My weight varies alot and I would be going up and down so much if I posted every variation. Unfortunately it hasn't been until this year that I had any significant gains. So my system worked well. My work schedule keeps changing and that has finally had an impact on my weight. I think I will soon start a more steady job schedule so once I adjust to it maybe I can figure it all out and make some progress again. I am reading Younger Next Year for Women and it has impressed on me that we actually cannot just slow the decay but turn some of it around. Exercise is one of the biggest things in that. 1 hour 6 days a week and at least 2 of them strength training. Cardio for our hearts.

    I adjusted my schedule a bit to reflect my new work schedule. I can't go to Aquafit as much as before but I will be doing body or machine weight training and walk/run intervals more.

    Thanks for the input Keri. I've been up in weight all week and today is the day I log it so decided I'd punish myself by actually logging in the increase! You are right........the older we get the more you have to take control of it. Otherwise, it gets control over you! I've noticed the last couple weeks it's easy to go back to old ways and I just can't do that. Have to stay on top of it! It's hard work!! lol

KeriA, yes I did do 30 mins of spinning and my first day of C25K on the same day. I got thrown into the spinning class but couldn't handle it (my bottom hurt SOOO bad!) and I walked out 1/2 way through. I was so disappointed with myself that I HAD to accomplish SOMETHING so I tried the C25K and I was so glad I did! I was so proud of myself!

    What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? This weekend my husband and I built a new 5X10 walkway in front of the hosue. Good ole manual labor - probably burnt some calories too :-) Oh- mowed the lawn too.

    What is today's personal goals? check in, track and the elliptical or a walk.
