    I knew I was sparce on here this weekend but didn't realize it was as long as it was. Alot has happened in those few days here it seems.

    I hope things get better soon, jsandie. I suspect after a time with his Dad your son will see him more realistically and you too. I am glad you are starting to take better care of your self now. That will help everything. I am just now almost over the teen parenting years. My baby is 19. However I don't think she wants to grow up. My son who just turned 27 is just now looking back and saying what was I thinking? I feel we are doing well just if we can help them survive these years. Their risk analysis part of their brains are not there yet! The problem is we can't always control them since they are approaching different levels of autonomy. My daughter decided not to come home from college this summer and went travelling around the east coast on a non-profit project instead and then back to school to work on a documentary they filmed on the trip on a subject not related to her major. She had to pay rent in high rent in silicon valley. So even though she is getting paid for some work and some expenses I am not sure she will have enough at the end of the summer. If she came home she could have kept all she made this summer. Well she did get a great experience for herself but at the expense of my worrying from a distance. But that is my job. We talked her through a number of issues but I guess that is how they learn. Just let your son know you are there for him when he needs you and continue to take care of yourself for both or you in the meantime.

    Did you stay within your nutritional goals? Yes but barely
    Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? yes , I have gotten exercise and healthy food but less water
    What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? actually it was Friday night after a potluck, I talked my husband into a walk around Greenlake - well not all the way because I had been getting everything else done that day but no time for exercise. It was dark when we ended but we did it. Oh and this morning I got caught up on sleep. We need our sleep.
    What would I have done differently? nothing much I have gotten alot done and met my health goals too but more water I guess
    What is today's personal goals? 1 hour exercise 6 days a week, water, healthy food

    Tues - walk or weight training -
    Wed - Aquafit - 60 minutes - I
    Thurs - walk or weight training
    Fri - walk or weight training
    Sat - Aquafit

    This week I end my summer job, my new job starts late the week after although I have some training activities etc to do now. I will get a long weekend. So I will be planning for my new routine.

    What did I do today that I am proud of? Didn't use exercise calories. Ate smart and tracked everything.
    What would I have done differently? Absolutely nothing!
    What are today's personal goals? Drink water.

    Mon -
    Tues - 15 minutes eliptical/walked a little at lunch
    Wed -
    Thurs - Walked and did elipitical
    Fri - did a little eliptical and walked a lot shopping (not enough of either!)
    Sat - 15 minutes eliptical...........needed to have done 3 hours! BAD girl!
    Sun- busy day so only 15 minute eliptical.........but ate smart too!

    What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? I ate well despite all of the goodies available at the Festival

    Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? No... I didn't make it to the gym to do strength training but I did do 30 mins on my bike
    What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? I ate fairly well
    What would I have done differently? Went to the gym and did Strength Training
    What is today's personal goals? Eat well & cardio

    Oh good! I'm not the only one in a funk! Trying to snap out of it. My daughter was on vacation last week with her dad. I should have been at the gym everyday but instead I found every excuse in the book. I feel crabby :angry: so I decided I needed to get back to the gym - 42 mins on the elliptical - feeling much better now :bigsmile: I'll work on the logging too. My daughter is back to school after Labor Day. I will be getting back to my routine!!!!

    Starting my strength training w/ weights 3 times a week as recommended by my Nutritionist.
    It is supposed to promote weight loss. I will be doing cardio on the rest of the days with
    Sunday as a rest day.

    Did you stay within your nutritional goals? Don't know did not track Sat or Sunday was away sailing. :drinker:
    Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? I did get in over 11,0000 steps on my pedometer
    What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? Did a lot of walking
    What would I have done differently? Probably track my foods
    What are today's personal goals? Starting strength training w/ weights 3 times a week. Day 1 done.
    Also eat right and drink water.

    GOAL: GETTING BACK TO MY TICKER WEIGHT

    Mon - Walking 35 min
    Tues - Walking 45 min
    Wed - Beach Body DVD 30 min with weights
    Thurs - Pilates Reformer Class 60 min
    Fri - Walking 35 min
    Sat - 55 min Barr Class + 60 min walking
    Sun- 60 min walking.

    What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? Controlled eating, even at a BBQ on the lake. Was active all day.
    What would I have done differently? Woke up earlier and got an extra workout.
    What are today's personal goals? Go to ZUMBA, pack lunches for tomorrow, bring a healthy dinner WITH me to my husband's softball tournament so I am not tempted to mow down the concession stand, hydrate skin before bed, get a good night's sleep.

    Plans for the week:
    Mon -- ZUMBA, then walk at the softball field before my husband's softball game!
    Tues -- Kickboxing/Turbo Kick
    Wed -- ZUMBA, then walk at the softball field before my husband's game/Go to Austin for vacation
    Thurs -- On vacation/maybe find a park to walk or jog in!
    Fri -- On vacation/maybe find a park to walk or jog in!
    Sat -- Playing in a coed all-day softball tournament for charity.
    Sun-- Playing softball again, going to a concert.

    It was great to see so many people doing their daily check in today! The most there has been for a long time! Keep up the good work everyone!

    You may notice that I've changed my questions to reflect same day answers instead of next day. I know it doesn't much matter in the scheme of things but I'm crazy about detail! I find it easier for me to answer at night instead of next day so needed to read right. hm.............a tad bit obsessive..... you think? lollllllllllllllllllll

    What did I do today that I am proud of? Stayed within goals without using exercise calories :smile: but.................(continue to next question).
    What would I have done differently? :grumble: EXERCISED so I WOULD have had exercise calories not to use! At least I didn't use ones I didn't have! lol
    What are tomorrow's personal goals? 4 glasses of water and 20 minutes eliptical or 30 minute walking
