Thanks for the Mother's Day wishes, Walkerpop!

Having a slice of homemade cheesecake for Mother's Day, and budgeting for the calories; I feel so responsible

I said NO to Italian cream cake today
    And cookies
    And flan
    And cheesecake
Ate fresh strawberries instead and loved actually saying NO THANK YOU
I wanted them but in a way did not want them
The old me would have said YES and spent day snacking zillions of calories and saying it ok due to Mother's Day
Feel great to have strength to say no. So isn't like me.
I am proud of you for budgeting your calories today.
    You are an inspiration
    Happy mothers day

What awesome NSV for @julierockhead and @conniehealthygirl! Way to go, ladies!!

Very nice! Honestly, fresh strawberries are like a relief from all the bakery and dessert stuff, amirite? I loved saying NO THANK YOU to a whole lotta food yesterday too, because I knew even with a slice of cheesecake I was going to come in under my calories for the day. I have to remember this for other special occasions. Budget for something to eat at the end of the day that you really like, and enjoy saying no the rest of the day!

Staying on track. Changed my dinner time to 6pm and adjusted my snack intake to after lunch and a light snack by 7:30. Staying true to my no snacks after 8PM.

I am a newbie but this is a great idea. I do the majority of my eating from 9pm to 1am. I am going to finish eating for the evening before 9am, no snacking. Do you think if a person doesn't fall asleep until 2 or 3am that their body needs an additional meal between 7pm and 3am?

Good question depends on your calorie intake throughout day I would guess. I would love to hear from those who may know real amswer

I'm new to this thread, but have been tracking since a week ago so I know my streak :)

Goals: I am allowed to late-night eat as long as I stay under calorie count! Normally by this time of night that means a piece of fruit or a tiny treat. My problem is the late-night bingeing. So for me, this is a late-night bingeing streak.

I'm doing this at the moment. Have been for the past week not eating after 7.15pm. my work break when it's finished and when I get home from work I don't eat until early next morning for a wholesome breakfast. Sometimes before doing this method I used to eat four main meals a day which is not necessary . Bad habits. So I've done 13 nights in a row . So. Me: 13 LNS: 0

I didn't do too bad last night (Sunday) but Friday and Saturday night were pitiful, as @freakymistkd said, mindless eating during commercial breaks is my downfall. The TV never goes off in my house, my DH is incapable of going more than 10 minutes without the mindless noise of the TV in the background (I've tried turning it off after he goes to sleep, he wakes immediately and complains). So lots of TV watching going on and many opportunities for mindless grazing. I would go to bed earlier and therefore skip the additional temptation, but I have to stay up to help him with his medications and to get him to bed at night. If I don't, he will sit and sleep in his wheelchair.... of course, when he does that I feel really guilty but I do enjoy the peace & quiet of no TV in the bedroom! When he sleeps in the bed, the TV is on (low volume but still audible) and I have to sleep with my phone earplugs in and a blanket over my face to block out the flashing light.
