thanks everyone for the kind words.

I ended up with a blood pressure monitor from Costco. DH was there and talked to pharmacist and got it for me. it even has software so that it can be printed out and given to doctor. Cuff fits well and it seems to work well. Will see how it goes.

Knocked out a few more tests this week. Been trying to make sure I get all my work hours fit in around the tests so I have been pretty busy. Had to tell my supervisor what was going on, not telling anyone else at work. Haven't told family either. Only DH knows so far. Still trying to figure out how to tell family, especially kids, without them freaking out.

Have an MR Angiography tomorrow. Meeting with neurologist next week to go over results from everything. I think the aneurysm is what worries me most.

I've put on 3 pounds from "comfort foods" so I need to get a handle on that real quick!

Sara - i need to learn your meal planning habits!! just how incredibly loud is the snoring that you can hear it? wow!

Lana - glad the a/c is back on!! the forecast here is getting up into the triple digits for heat index. how did haircut come out?

Dawn - i have my warmer on a "smart" outlet which is hooked to my Google Home. it comes on when i leave my office so house is all nice and chai-filled when i get home!

twiley - ouch! tooth pain is the worst!! hope you get to feeling better!

Kathryn dont be too impressed, I go for meals that make at least 4 and can be frozen. Yup snoring is across a small green belt - time of day is key to loudness - I get up early compliments of Miss T.

    Will stop by when home.

I lost almost 40 lbs last spring (2017). But I let myself go as my mom got more sick (brain cancer.). She just passed a few months ago, in June 2018, and I promised her i would take care of myself, so I’m back again. That is what she would have wanted (and yes I gained it all back from the stress of her illness). One day at a time from here on out. That’s my goal.

Thanks to some above average stress (short-handed at work, looking for housing), my better eating habits have gone downhill. So for this latest restart, I'm trying a different approach, seeing as how all my previous attempts have failed. I'm focusing more on strength and workouts for now, and will build a new diet plan once things settle down and I can get a routine going. So, here's to starting over, yet again.

    FRIDAY

    Good morning, TGIF

Work now allows people to come in earlier, hope the people who chat all day come in earlier so it will be quiet sooner...... While I get to bypass our monthly(snore) meeting, I still have my 1:1 with Sup - and I will have to tell her that the production sheet that is passed out routinely takes 2/3 of my production away and that displeases me and I will be asking for some research to be done on those days. And not hold my breath.

Food has been okay, walking after work not so much. Knitting got in the way but as it is Friday my after dinner walk is on my to do list.

Lurking from work. Wave to all who follow.

Thank you all for the kind words! I'm feeling a bit better, but my face looks like a horror movie monster. Hoping for most of the swelling to leave by tomorrow.

    Everyone have a fabulous Friday!!

    Friday!

Tracy - I hope that your mouth and face settle down soon. Big hugs~

Sara - Good luck with that 1:1 I hope that better things can happen for you. Thank you for posting that "sit with you in the dark" thing. 👍🏻

Kathryn - Yes, how you tell your family will influence how they feel about it. You and DH will come up with the best approach together. I hope testing goes well today; when next week is your appointment with neurologist?

Cabana Boys are serving coffee, tea, and other treats to Dawn and Missy and Eryn and Saltine and Tracey and Lynn and MyBattle and Avand....and anyone else who stops by to say hello~~

Wow it's been a week and I've hardly been on a computer to catch up!

Tracy - Toothaches are the worse, hope you find relief soon!

Sara - Snoring neighbour, I fear that I would be the neighbour LOL I have been to specialists numerous times, fortunately I do not have sleep apnea. I'm hoping by the time I lose enough weight it will settle down.

MyBattle - Sorry to hear about your Mom, I admire your determination to lose again so "quickly". I had just gotten to my lowest point in years when my Dad passed. It has taken me almost 6 years to get back at it. I had a lot more going on after Dad passed, but that was the start of it.

Kathryn - I hope you find the right words to talk to your family.

My daughter is taking hairdressing at school right now. She needs a model for a Perm Exam next Thursday, so guess who is getting a perm for the first time in 25 years! When she texted me, I had questions. How fast will it wash out, will it be big loose curls, can I still straighten it? She will use a very mild solution that will wash out in a month or so, and it will just define my natural curls. She said that she was told perm day is usually a parade of granny's, but she doesn't know any. I told her that I will be a hip granny for her.

The scale did scare me this morning.
So, in my never-ending quest to unlock the secret for weight loss for me, I used the MFP daily planner to sketch out what would for me be "The Perfect Day".

I can't seem to paste it here, but here's the longhand:

Breakfast: 2 eggs scrambled with 1tsp butter and 1/3 cup of shredded cheese 307 calories

    Lunch: Cheerios & Milk.....

Mid afternoon Snack: 1 cup of Milk with pear slices (sub in any fruit) calories for both is 380

Dinner: 4 oz ground beef (or chicken or ham?), green vegetable, corn or potato plain + Milk = 455 calories

Evening Snack: Noosa blueberry yogurt 280 calories

Emergency tiny bit of chocolate if needed after dinner?: 16 chocolate chips = 70 calories This item will be hard to control, but not impossible.....

Total for the day is 1492, 8 under my 1500 daily goal
A bit high on the cholesterol, but under on sodium and carbs. Protein is a bit over, but that's good.

If I take a pound of ground beef and make 4 burgers all at once, I can have easy beef dinners alternating with chicken or ham.....
Alternative for eggs in the morning would be Raisin Bran and milk. I drink a lot of milk.

    Good evening,

Before its lights out with Miss T, I had to speak to my Supervisor to make sure that I was getting credit for the amount of work I was doing, so now I know what to do. In the course of today, I had this desire to go and vomit on my Sups shoes - just because I found the idea amusing.

Now that I am being a dull adult again, I wish you all a good night.

    SATURDAY

    Good morning,

Lana! you beat me here on a Saturday Morning....Comedy of errors in kitchen. Need food to eat with meds. Put last of granola in last greek yogurt, that tasted wrong. First English Muffin was a hockey puck, but luckily second one was okay. Wow just too much this early.

Hope my interest in making this weeks food returns. I have a shopping list but no set plans.....

Back for some more sleep. BBL.

Oh my goodness Missy - You are not feeling well, and it's your vacation!!!??? That's terrible. I so hope you turn the corner and feel much better soon.
I've been down in North Carolina for a while. Has the northeast gotten chilly at night? Is it too soon for autumn?

Sara - I hope that you got more sleep.

Waving to all of the other Ladies~~

    Good evening,

Missy hope your are feeling better, dont rush to eat too much too soon.

Seems I am not supposed to watch dvd in living room, flat screen tv just stopped working. Looked at prices online and this may have to wait..... means more reading/knitting but what to do about netflix? Hmmmm - update saved myself $$$ - went to see if I could reconnect dvd to old tv - seems the plug on the flat screen came out. I have a number of women "chatting" outside the apartment all talking at once and I thought - how was I going to sleep?? Now with the dvd/tv functioning again I can try and drown them out. 5 minute celebration dance will also burn oh what 10 calories?

Still trying to think of meals - just put one more thing on grocery list for tomorrow.

    Wishing all a good night
