I know my metabolism has slowed down alot since I turned 40, I had gained about 9 lbs and wasn't losing any weight. It was because I was actually burning less calories exercising than I thought I was. I had to reduce my calories to 1500-1700 and exercise at least an hour daily to lose weight. I have since only lost 6 lbs in the last 2 months but it is progress. I have been eating oranges daily and they are helping me to feel full along with nuts. I watched a youtube video of Dr. Oz and it was about almond butter and how it is supposed to help your metabolism to speed up. I have been using it along with diet and exercise and have noticed my pants are looser. Looking for more friends on MFP, if interested sent me a friend request.1
