Lisa- great plan to keep yourself accountable! I journal. I have a weekly planner. I write out weekly goals. Exercise is a priority. I do it everyday even if I have to do it before bed. I set my alarm for every hour to get up and do something for at least 10 minutes. I preplan my meals to meet my macro and calorie goals. No processed foods or sugar except if I plan for it, or if I can't stop the craving but then it has to be part of my daily calories. I use gel pens preferably glitter

✔1. Carbs 50-75g (limit 25g/meal)
(B2, L7, D15, AS14, BBS 17= 54)
✔2. Fiber 30g
✔3. Track/complete entry daily
✔4. Vegetables - big salad daily
5. Exercise - log 30 Fitbit minutes.
✔6. No eating after 9pm.
7. In bed by midnight.
8. Declutter: ✔Office Supplies, Electronics, Music, Craft Supplies, Cleaning Supplies, Utility Drawer, Utility Closet.
• Exercise... I was too tired yesterday. Gave myself grace. I'll be out and about today. Going to the mall. I like to walk the length of the mall and back to get steps.
• Bed by midnight. Need to work on this. Exercise will help.

Hello Y'all! I'm 54 and looking for inspiration for 2017. Looks like I found the right place! I'm a Texas gal in the Houston area. Any other Texas gals here?
My word for 2017 is "Less".
Less TV, more reading
Less shopping, more outdoors
Less Junk food, more real food
Less inactivity, more exercise
Less stress, more calm
Less work, more play...............etc..........the list could go on for pages and pages!
My goals for March -
1. Log food daily
2. 10,000 steps a day
3. Continue Whole30 at least 75% of the month (completed in Jan)
4. Make more Me time

Well I am down to last weeks weigh in. What? My body freaks every Wed. Which is cruel karma!
What I have to do is look at the week as a whole. In the scheme of things there is a downward trend. Oye, talking like its the stock market!!! Haha.

Becca, do you put the jar lid in the oven or in a pan on the stove. Those look like perfect eggs. Well except for the spices you have on them.
One good thing about deleting this Facebook game is that I would always get notifications about the game on my home page so I kept posting to my home page 'to me only'. Now it is open to friends only. I will never make it public. No telling what kind of trash I would get.
Well the cheapo slippers were OK but definitely made for a wider foot. But they will serve the purpose. As soon as my sister gets over here we are going to go to Culvers for a ice cream. Well it's custard.

I weighed this morning - just out of curiosity. I'm making Monday morning my official weigh-in weight for the week. Weight is down 2 lbs since Monday. And... since I'm eating more fiber and REALLY watching carbs... I'm encouraged I may start seeing some good downward trend here. Got me thinking about my journey here.
I weighed 290 today.
I started on 11/6/2013 at 290. (I actually weighed 302.4 in February 2013.)
I got my Fitbit and started walking on 12/3/2013.
By 11/8/2014 - I weighed 245.8. The knee thing side-tracked my mindset for far too long.
I feel hopeful I'm turning things around. Posting here daily helps. Your kind words and camaraderie helps!

Ooooooh! Lisa- I am a very visually motivated person! I love your calendar (X's to asterisk) marking! I think I am going to have to adopt that! Thank you! Maybe I will do it in sparkly gel pens for extra Ooompf (like Mary )!

Out for fundraising supper tonight - know what we are having, so its easy to log food in before we go. Also makes me aware of how much I can have.

Joyce. I just put the jar lids in a teflon pan upside down so the top part of the lid is resting on the pan. I sprayed them all over (in the sink) with Pam first. I put 1/2 tsp. of olive oil inside the lids then cracked the eggs into them. On a low heat I made sure they weren't sticking. After they looked white I put a bit of water in a cover and poured into the pan, covering it until the yolk was cloudy and done. I'm pretty picky about my yolks! When I cut into my eggs I want a slow run, of the yolk not liquid!

DJ ... intense ear pain can be tooth related as well ... I was being treated for trigeminal nerve pain ... turned out it was an abscessed tooth (didn't initially show up on X-rays) ... pain would come and go for months at a time.
Ginger ... my weight loss graph looks a lot like yours ... I've gained back nearly half of what I lost ... and I definitely need to turn things around. What's important about your graph is that you have proof that you are capable of losing weight ... you can do it again!
Kelly ... too many medications seems to be a common problem for a lot of people. I'll mention it to my friend.
Joyce ... Happy Birthday! I was in the grocery store today and saw the Easter candy ... thought of you!
Margaret ... my Grandfather had kidney cancer and had a kidney removed as a result. He too was a smoker and moderate beer drinker. The good news is he did very well after his surgery and did not have a recurrence of cancer. Praying the same for your husband.
Drkatiebug ... I just placed my first order for LuLaRoe leggings ...
So ... I decided to cut out sweets for the next 40 days ... no candy, cakes, donuts, etc ... I've made it 2-1/2 days now ... but I've also eaten everything else in sight! Sigh. So today I decided to temporarily cut out gluten based carbs ... and I've done much better keeping things under control so far today. It never fails to amaze me how significantly sugar and gluten affects me ... other carbs like fruit and rice don't derail me as quickly.
I am gearing up for my husband's next surgery on the 15th. A lot I want to get cleaned and sorted before I have to take care of him full-time. Hoping I get a good chunk done this weekend.

Both my daughters were LuLaRoe leggings & dresses. They them!1

Oh, and one tip about the LLR leggings.....be sure and check them well when you receive them. Both daughters have had some with tiny holes. (Defect batches maybe) The rep exchanged them out no problem. Dresses/skirts have never been an issue, just the leggings.
They both are addicted!!1 -

Oh, wow, not had that yet but thanks for the heads up. I'll be sure to check them over well. All of these have been washed and most of them worn already

Daughters both ran into that issue within the last couple of months. They wear different sizes & had ordered different designs. Never had the issue before. The rep took them back & reordered. The new ones were fine.

First time on community board. Like the idea of monthly goals to be accountable.
So here are mine
1. Log food and exercise daily
2. Exercise at gym 3 x weekly
2. No eating after 8.30pm
3. Drink at least 1200mls water a day

Speaking on the topic of keeping motivated with rewards or stickers or calendars: I think for me, checking in regularly with this forum and logging in every day (I like seeing the days add up) have been really motivating to me. Someday I will learn how to post that MFP ticker!
When I first started here, it was all about fitting into a size six dress for my DD's high school graduation (and getting off BP medicine). Been there done that! So now I am in search of other goals, short term, mid-term and long-term. I'm going to stew on that for a bit.
Finished reading "when breath become air". Beautiful memoir of a young doctor who passes away from cancer.
