Can you have real love without trust? I don't believe so. But everyone needs to feel love or part of their soul is missing something. They are both very important and to say which one is more important is hard but when it comes down to it, love is fairly easy to give for most people. Trust is harder to give for lots of people. You are really opening yourself to someone and letting them into your soul when you fully trust and deeply love someone. You become vulnerable.
Of course I love to hear I love you from someone I love but I think an even bigger compliment and meaningful statement is "I trust you".. So in the end trust is a notch above love because you can't have true love without trust.
