Geesh! Miss a day or 2 and y'all write a novel. Thinking of all of you. Visiting daughter with the hubs doing some home improvement for her. Traveling with hubs is so nerve wracking. His Asperger’s goes into freaking overdrive. I'll survive but it puts daughter on edge and all goes to hell. Sigh
.. Weather rainy and chilly here in VA.
Take care!

Wow, 5 days and 15 pages... ;}
Looking ahead to month end, roundup will be a mixed bag. Missed 3 days of meditating, only walked a few days. Been faithful with logging, supplements, only went over 1500 a few times and started Fosamax last Monday, a real hurdle for me.
Welcome Leamlass, Jayne, FionaW and KittyWH. You are in the right place now. These women's wisdom and compassion are truly amazing.
Penny expensive veggies, yah. DH shakes his head when I buy organic, but I say "pay the grocer or pay the doctor, you choose" ;}
Heather Did you learn Norwegian for your cruise to Longyearbyen? cute all the way down to your shoes! Wish I could hear you sing Good Night! and yodel the Lonely Goatherd
Machka added green beans, corn and (sorry) dried red pepper flakes to the chickpea recipe and it turned out ok. Your chicken curry recipe looks even better, will try soon.
Wendy "Rivendell" ah! if only...
Rye thank you VERY much for the sweet potato and potassium info. Does the cooling then reheating diminish the other nutrients in the potatoes? Next time I want to sit down with the Ben & Jerry's, will try your chocolate meditation instead
Kim yay boots and Virginia Woolf!
Becca the Japanese method of decluttering made me snort my tea!
Sharon love Jheri's fish in inks. Glad Jason had her with him at the intense meeting.
Michelle, Medicare, yikes indeed. Most important thing is to pay attention to the signup deadlines, the penalties last forever. http://www.ncdoi.com/SHIIP/ can help a lot. Medicare Advantage vs Part B supplemental (Medigap) plans. We chose Part B and Medigap Plan F high deductible from Thrivent (no Silver Sneakers ;{ )instead of an Advantage as I don't like being locked into a network and wanted hassle free coverage when we travel. Means we have to pay pay pay for vision, dental, so will re-evaluate next year.
pip Yogi looks like he's in trouble
10 pages to go but time to get meditating and moving.
Mindful and WARM Hugs to all,

Sharon in Lethbridge— I am at 47% fluent and have many Espanol speaker to practice with here in New Mexico! Lol
Alie, I don’t know how you stay sane????
Told my DH about the hernia RV and clothing optional resort. He asked if you were crazy! Lol
I did go for a walk alone to get away from DH mood. Walks always help me. Healthy too!
Sorry to hear about rings list, tooth broken, and all the sadness this time of year.
Funny.. my little white Wicket was nuts this morning and as DH was going out today he RV door, she was jumping and trying to pull his pants down.4 -
Barbara - Yes I did learn Norwegian for the cruise to Longyearbyen. I used it on the mainland of Norway, but I had to insist people spoke Norwegian to me. They all speak perfect English. I ended up following a school group around an open air museum and even then I had to insist. I just said everywhere I went, (in Norwegian), that I preferred to speak Norwegian. People did try then to humour me. I am anticipating having exactly the same problem with Swedish in Sweden.
Jag föredrar att talar svenska.

Good afternoon all! I weighed in this morning! I got to move three glass stones to my "pounds lost" jar! Whoot!
Rita- Why is it that dogs seem to know everything and understand everything we say? Wicket must have been warning your hubby about something. Did you act like Timmy, from Lassie? "What is it girl?" lol Poor Lassie, she spent so much time trying to get dumb humans to understand her.
Heather- Yea! Another cruise! You go girl! Speak your Swedish! For now, I will travel vicariously through you. You can play with kids all day/every day, vicariously through me! Sounds like a fair trade!
Allie- Thinking of you and your son/nephew(?) I am sure he appreciates the support he is getting from you.
love and hugs to all who need or want them ttfn xoxoxo KJ (Kelly)7 -
O Janet! So sorry to hear about the rings and your tooth! I don't know if that saying "better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all" can be said about having things of sentimental value. I have never had a ring. (I have a plain gold wedding band, only) BUT, I do know that losing those irreplaceable momentos, like rings, or things that hold special memories are like a sock in the gut. I would def. try to file a report, talk to the business owner, etc. May you, in the meantime, find peace over it all. KJ5

Been good today went to the gym then hard boiled egg and huge salad for lunch and just had roast lamb and loads of cabbage, sprouts and broccoli. What I miss is the fruit, I like berries but love my apples and bananas. I love butter and know I can have it but need bread to put it on so will nibble cheese. Drinking lots of water.

Had a nice text conversation with middle son last night. I think he's happy, probably missing having friends. I hope he and his wife start doing stuff together, maybe a hobby they both are passionate about. My husband and I enjoyed attending Renaissance faires, and then incorporated that with our boys. That expanded into joining the SCA, and then ending with us joining the clothing optional resort. The boys and husband did D & D type gaming but with GI Joe's. Its important to do things other than school and work. Its something they need to discover. Its weird when she and him go exploring, she has to validate it with lots of pics from her phone. I can understand 1 or 2 pics but 20? The phone is like part of the mix. I think its utterly sad.

Hi all, have been reading but not posting as this week end was crazy. DH has been sick with the flue for about a week now and this morning he went to the dr. Just going to have to ride it out. I think his fever is coming down and his appetite is coming back so he is on the mend. DD wants to go out for dinner tonight so I'll be going there shortly about I get out of work. She lives with us and I still feel like she has been hitting the books hard and barely comes out of her room. It will be nice to catch up. This is her first week not working. I think with the 4 classes she is taking she is going to need the time to do class work.
Well thinking of you all and sending (9Hugs)) and good thoughts your way.

Yay! I actually have two contractors coming this week to give me estimates. Let’s see if they show up when they say they will. Carol, you will be interested to know that one of them uses Floor and Decor for their tile.
I have recommitted to my food boundaries. Deep, deep, down in my soul, I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to give up sugar and diet soda as well as protein bars. So far, so good today. One day at a time, one baby step at a time. I’m drinking Inner Armour now instead of having a diet soda and crackers.7 -
Did some recumbent cycling today for my bonus calories. Tomorrow I start week 5 of c25k. By the end of the week I should be "shuffling" for 20 mins with no break. Help!
Yoga in the morning. The estate agent is coming later in the afternoon to talk over marketing. That means he will ask us to reduce the price. I was looking today at properties in Hove and there was nothing that interested me in our price range.
Much love, Heather UK xxxxxxx4 -
Woot! Money's in the bank, mortgage shows online as zero balance. Life is good. FREEDOM! Well, in another few months. Might not be physical weight... but a weight's been lifted for sure.
Love y'all,

Lisa,Yeah!!!! Doing the Zero Balance Mortgage Dance right now for ya!!!! We are at the point where we have no credit card debt, and in as year our car will be paid off! Husband says when its paid off that's when you start having car issues! Well he is wishing a bigger car. Our little car definitely is not for driving more than around town. Trips are hell on our knees, our pedal foot, and our backs!
Turned in forms to our tax lady. Will it ever stop raining?????

To all the ladies that visited Portland Oregon. This is the Meier & Frank's department store's beautiful elevators.

This store is no longer. But it had beautiful Christmas decorated windows. It was a dignified store, that smelled of cinnamon, and rich colognes! I miss it!

Dogs have been boarded so we can go to Seattle tomorrow for Jake's visit to the cardiologist. It's lonely without them but I am enjoyed the benefits of watching figure skating and riding the exercise bike for 90 minutes without being interrupted by dogs wanting to go out and I won't have to get up in the middle of the night to walk them. Tomorrow I'll get up early and walk by myself and get home early enough to be reading for us to leave by 6:45.
Janetr, I'm so sorry about your rings.
Lisa, congrats on the finalizing of the sale.

Becca, I too qualify as older than dirt.... sigh.
Lisa, so excited for you!! We have been mortgage free for some years now, but I do remember the feeling! Course, then we went and bought a new vehicle for hubby, paid that off, bought one for me, then another one for him..... Now we are finished buying vehicles and houses! It's truly a great feeling not having any long term debt hanging over our heads.
We are currently experiencing what has been called an "atmospheric river". From what I can gather that means it's going to rain like h3ll for the next few days. Sure did today!! We have a small creek behind our property, it's dry in the summer, but there's a LOT of water there now! Sure glad we're on slightly higher ground!
That's it for me for now, hope everyone has a good one!

Hello, Ladies! I've been reading the posts here for a couple days and would like to join. I'm 56 with about 20 pounds I'd like to lose. I recently learned I'm borderline pre diabetic so that's my incentive to get serious about my health.

Lisa, what a great feeling to be debt free. I’m looking forward to that day.
Janet , that’s too bad about the ring. I’m sure you feel lost without it. One of my rings I just dropped off to have sized. Since I’ve lost weight my rings have been so loose. My wedding band can’t be sized so I’m having them look for a small stainless steel band to put on after it to hold it in place. DH and I had been together 10 years and had no plans to get married. So when we decided to get married because we wanted to protect each other legally should anything happen, I used a stainless steel band with small diamonds that DH had given me as my wedding band. Because of the way it’s made, it can’t be sized. I’d be heartbroken if I lost it as DH and Mil picked it out.
Had a nice Dinner with DD. But glad to be home and settled in bed. Felt like a very long day.
This weekend I got my photo light box made so this weekend I’ll try taking pictures of my jewelry. I hope it works well and I won’t have to pay to have them done. Only cost me about $10 to make which isn’t bad.
DH seems to be getting his appetite back so I’m thinking he is on the mend.
Well that’s about it for today.
