Its today. It started like half an hour ago if I remember the start time correctly.
Oh wow. Its 100 miles right?
short race, elite qualifier 50k
Cool. This is her first race with her new sponsor right?
yup. it was like -30c with some anlke deep snow for the race. Good conditions
Ugh. What is qualifying based on? Hope that does not impact her chances.
I'm pretty sure it's based on time. The snow could be an issue but she has no problem with the temperature.
She has run in deeper and colder, so if anyone is ready for it, it is her.
Yeah. It's really not bad weather for it. If theres a decent base under the fresh snow, its not bad at all. Now she just to not try to keep up with Dave Proctor.0 -

I have no clue. It was a really messed up day I guess, so she's still not sure if she placed because of the craziness with all the DNFs and stuff. This is going off my very limited knowledge of elite ultrarunning..... all my experience is back of the pack ultrarunning2 -
Ao, with thia race she was hoping to get a shot at the 50k nationals. That didnt happen.0

No one here will ever laugh at a run. Promise. I'm a newbie, so you can check my posts, for example, and then check the responses. Nothing but encouragement and support from this group. Good people here, every one.6 -

A run is a run, no matter how long or how short. There is no judgment here, whether you run 1km or 100km. This is a great group of people that will encourage you whatever distance you go.6 -

You went further than me. I went to get dressed thia morning realized how much I had to do and got to work around the house. Only had time for my strength training this afternoon.5 -
I wouldn't dare laugh! It takes a long time (at least it did for me) to build up to lots of miles, and even now I run in a month what some people run in a week! It's all about you and you doing the work to help you get better!5

Went for my regular run in super fog; it was a very humid 46 degrees. Just missed the pouring rain by about 15 minutes, thankfully. Would’ve been a great run if my damned hip flexor didn’t start tightening up on me near the end. At least I was close to home.6 -

Laugh? Are you kidding? No way will I (or anyone else for that matter) ever laugh at a run. You are more likely to laugh at me for turning up at the gym yesterday afternoon ready to do a treadmill workout, only to realise my gym kit was still sitting by the front door where I'd left it that morning. D'oh!5 -

ACK! Look at the weather prediction...
I thought this was February? Did I miss something?7 -
Signed up for yet another race. Just a short one though, so it won't require any changes to my training. I'll be across the street from the start line the day of the race anyway, so figured, "why not?".
Upcoming races:
3/4 Bieg Tropem Wilczym, 5889 meters (patriotic run in memory of anti-communist resistance fighters, distance comes from 3 loops of 1963 meters - 1963 being the year of the last casualty)
3/17 CityTrail 5k (Lublin)
3/18 CityTrail 5k (Warsaw)
4/8 Lublin 10k
5/13 Lublin Marathon8 -
Finally got my 2018 Run Calendar. Super motivated to fill it all up even if its just a couple of miles every day. My new motto as the calendar states..."You either ran today or you didnt"
And i did! 5.2mi closer to my goal. Slowly getting it done but at least im getting there.
