2/17: 158 lbs: I took a HIIT Burn Carb Cycling quiz to boost my metabolism. I may try it out if my weight continues to maintain no matter what I do instead of losing any.
2/18: 158.2 lbs: Stayed within my calories but spent the day vegging and shopping. I loathe shopping, but my pants were HUGE and my underwear is falling off. Lol
2/19: 157.2 lbs: 2 oz. away from a 45 lb. loss. I so badly want to get there.
2/20 156.8 Woo Hoo!!!! I am now at a 45.2 lb loss. I am so thrilled. I did decide to try the HIIT Burn Carb Cycling, so let's see if it works.
2/21: 157.2 Yesterday was my high carb day, and since I worked late, I decided to go out to dinner with my family, and I had 3 taco supremes from Taco Bell. IT WAS YUMMY! Now back to 3 days of low(er) carb.
2/22: 157.8 It was another late night because of Freshman Orientation for my oldest son. I was bad. I didn't do a low carb or low sodium dinner. However, I was still within my carbs because of what I ate all day. My sodium....not so much.
2/23: 157.2 I need to push the fluids. I was under by a ton yesterday.
2/24: 156.6 My lowest point yet! YIPPEE!!!! Have my niece and nephew over all weekend, so their parents could have a weekend getaway. So 5 kids altogether with my own. One night down. One to go.

02/19: 136.4 - I was feeling stressed yesterday and made a conscious decision to eat at maintenance. I don’t think it really helped, since I still felt hungry.
02/20: 136.8 - Ate great yesterday. I really think this is ovulation, I got acne popping up now, too.

02/17: 228.4 – The day’s events (brother coming back from Nigeria, Shabbat meal, and snowy/prolonged travels) produced a day where I chose to be highly mindful but not meal plan due to difficulties and wanting peace of mind. I am hoping that this did not take me back much, if at all. Water was still good and I got a full night of sleep! These don’t come around often, but/so I intend to stick to the plan on subsequent Saturdays!
02/18: ??? (post-breakfast and 24 oz of water has me at 231.0) - Weigh-in might be a bit off since I went out of sequence and didn’t weigh first thing in the morning. Activity and water intake were lower than desired, but everything else was good! Not having a good place to walk around on days that I am not working or running errands is a challenge I will have to tackle so that I’m still getting some exercise. I am starting a new Ayurvedic supplement, so I’ll have to see how that affects things.
02/19: 229.2 – Weight is following the same pattern as before, so I’m hoping I know what to expect (good things!). An early evening out to see Black Panther threw off some of the meal timing, but all the good meals were eaten and there was no compensatory popcorn bingeing! I got way less sleep than desired, so I will have to make that a priority moving through the rest of the round.
02/20: 228.0 – The daily goals were on point except those last three, again! I ended up going to bed (way) later and eating my last meal later again, so I am keeping an eye out to see if this will affect anything. Water intake still has me going to the bathroom a lot, and I have to time it to accommodate long commutes, but this is also pushing last intakes to later at night. I’ll be taking smaller bottles with me to work to see if I can keep up intake without being in trouble on the road, lol. Grateful to still be making progress in the midst of adjustment !
02/21: 228.0 - Looks like the weight is holding a bit earlier in the round than before. I was SUPER tired and super hungry (craving-ry?) today! I powered through both meeting intake goals and getting my first 5,000+ step day for the week! With half of the round to go and intake-based goals being on point, the priorities now are chi gung, steps, and a 10 pm bedtime threshold to hit the 6+ hour sleep goal.
02/22: 228.0 – 3rd day of holding at the same weight! I’m doing the same (good) things and am well under maintenance calories, so I’m wondering about this. Sleep was good, intake goals were on point, and steps exceeded 5,000 again. Folks have talked about elimination on here, and that’s been off too so the number is likely to be odd since what’s coming in isn’t coming out at the same time. I’ve been advised to go back and look at details from last week to see if there have been changes, and I have noticed that my macro ratios have been off (high on carbs and protein though still in the 1300 range). If the round doesn’t improve then I’ll take a close look at that and try to adjust.
02/23: 228.4 - I thought this might happen, though I am not sure why it is. Though I’m not going to let it change my discipline, it’s a tad discouraging since my work-week consistency is pretty on point (no slips, tiny treats, etc.). Today was a pretty good fitness day, with me meeting all the goals but chi gung. The only deviation from intake was the same modified Mexican meal I had last Friday, and the scale went in a good direction that day. It was a good deviation (alteration?) since wonky work day stress brought on increased hunger/cravings, and the change in menu calmed that down. I have the ability to get in way more steps tomorrow with a day off, so I'm going to make that happen and we’ll see what comes of it!

02/20: 155.5 My sweet tooth bit me. Net calories, sodium & sugar red, fiber / protein good & 14c water. Treadmill 3 miles before work / 50:41 & stretched. Fitbit 13,603 steps, 250+ steps 14/14 (boom!) hours & 36 floors.
02/21: 155.5 Net calories on target until hubby & I got home from theatre, and I dipped into peanut butter jar and walnut halves...ack!!! Glad weigh-in isn't worse. Red net calories, sodium & sugar, at least protein & fiber good & 15c water. Treadmill 3 mi before work / 50:06. Fitbit 16,534 steps, 250+ steps 12/14 hours (took advantage of 2-hr delay at work due to ice storm, and stayed in bed) & 33 floors.
02/22: 155.5 Guesstimated soup supper food / snacked way too much on walnut halves (again). LIttle out of control this week / ack!!! Net calories, sodium & sugar red, protein & fiber good & 13c water. Fitbit 9.807 steps, 250+ steps 12/14 (rest day / Lent service) & 29 floors.
02/23: 155.0 Better day on track / didn't open bag of walnuts / net calories red 110, sugar red, sodium/protein/fiber good & 16c water. Workplace hike 1.5 mi. at lunchtime. Fitbit 13,310 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 hours & 31 floors.
02/24: 154.0 Very surprised bc net calories red, even quit logging during snack attack in evening. At least I drank 15c water. Fitbit 7,450 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 hours & 29 floors.

I don't weigh in on the weekends (use the scale at work), but I'll just use yesterday's weight as my starting point this round. Since I always seem to have issues on Fridays and Saturdays, I have decided to eat at a deficit Sunday through Thursday and then eat at maintenance on Fridays and Saturdays (if needed). This seems to have been working for me so far, and has made the process much more sustainable.

I feel like I'm finally starting to develop a healthier relationship with food. I had spaghetti & meatballs from Olive Garden today (1,120 calories total--ouch!), but I still managed to stick to my calorie goal for the day. Rather than eating it all at once, I divided it in half so that I got two meals out of it. This may seem like a no-brainer to some people, but it was always so difficult for me to do this in the past. I always felt like I needed large portions in order to be satisfied, but now that my body is adjusting, I'm finding that's no longer true!

I know that I stayed within my calorie budget this weekend (I'm very meticulous about weighing and measuring everything), so I'm going to chalk this up to water retension. Not thrilled that the weekend is over, but it's much easier for me to stay on track during the work week, so...I guess there's that.

That's more like it. I'm down exactly 20 pounds since January 1st, and down 58.4 pounds overall! Worked a cupcake into my calorie budget today, but I almost immediately regretted it. I'm not used to all that extra sugar anymore, and it made me feel kinda gross. Oh, well...lesson learned!

No change today, but that's fine. I took the next two days off of work because tomorrow is my 40th birthday and I plan to have a 4-day meltdown. (Okay, not really.) Hubby offered to bake me a cake, and I'm trying to decide whether or not I want to take him up on the offer. Part of me remembers yesterday's cupcake debacle, but the other half is like, "Hey, it's your 40TH BIRTHDAY. Have some damn cake." We shall see!

I lost 40 on MFP earlier when I had time to exercise. I have gone back to work full time and gained weight due to not having as much time to make meals at home and exercise as much. I have started regular exercise and we make most meals at home and I stopped the weight gain. Now to lose and keep it off while working full time and loving it.

healthy meals at home (have a night meeting coming up so probably bring leftovers to work)
I don't have to lose a specific amount but just get the trend going the right way for this less than 10 days.

2/17 - 130.0 - starting with a drop back to current low weight. Yesterday under calories, modest walk / stress-bust run.
2/18 - 129.8 - first sight of the under-130's, but likely to be temporary over calories yesterday, knee hurting, did not work out.
2/19 - 129.8 - okay lol. Under calories yesterday, did some resistance training at the gym which I literally hate, and still got my steps in. Struggling to get into some kind of weight training as it's the cure for skinny-fat.
2/20 - 130.0 - Yesterday under calories, 7.4 mile long run. I love running.
2/21 - 129.8 - Yesterday just over calories but well under maint, short rowing session, planned rest day due to other commitments.
REALLY PLEASED to see the weight still lurking around my original goal 130, have not seen this in years, I think the curse of hitting 132, giving up, and starting to gain is FINALLY BROKEN. We will see! Even announcing that scared me a little

+1.2 lbs. Ate perfectly except high in sodium, 10,206 steps. Not a great start, but I'm staying optimistic, I know weight fluctuates.

-1 lb. Again, high in sodium, but I'm eating very clean today and drinking lots of water to make up for the last 2 days. 10,121 steps and 30 min. arms and abs.
2/19: 238.6
No change. Ate clean and within my goals but only walked 6,000 steps. I took my measurements and in 2 weeks I've lost 1 in. in my chest, waist, and hips. And 1/2 in. in my calves.

+0.2 lbs. Ate within all my goals and 9,445 steps.

-0.4 lbs. Surprised to see a loss. I was sitting down all day driving and at appointments doing paperwork. And I went out for lunch, drank about 1/ 2 the water I usually do (I drink about a gallon a day normally) and was 200 over in calories, and over in every goal.

-0.2 lbs. 10,247 Steps, 30 min. arms and abs, perfect on calories

+ 0.6 200 over in calories yesterday and started feeling sick, pretty sure I have the flu. So, I didn't post. I'm still tracking and will try to post this tomorrow. I'm feeling a little better today.

+2.2 lbs. I was about 100 calories under yesterday, walked over 10,000 steps, and did a 30 min. lower body workout but my sodium was so high, 700mg. over. Which made my blood pressure jump to 147/103. (And I'm dehydrated from being sick with the flu) This tracking sodium has been an eye opener for me. I've tracked calories many times before but not sodium. I buy very little processed food. And I only use low sodium sauces and morton lite salt. I'm going to have to do much better on this, my health is at risk.

02/23 - 170.8 My goal is to end this round under 170. If I stay focused, I can do it. Tonight hubby and I are going out to dinner. I'll scope out the menu ahead of time and have my choices pre-selected in my head. I'll also have an apple or something before I go so I'm not starving. Just trying to think of different strategies to get over the humps
02/24 – 171.2 Well the best laid plans….I did know what I was having for dinner – fish. I just didn't factor in the wine a friend brought and the calamari appetizer my husband ordered. Hope to see a downward trend tomorrow. Still hope to be under 170 by the end of this round.
