M in Oz: I suspect that your observations of your DH are insightful and hope the medical people will appreciate your POV. :flowerforyou: Technology may help with the biking options. We have a pair of terra-trykes that we bought years ago when DH was just beginning to have issues. No worries about falling out of the seat. Motor assists are available and he's thinking about whether he wants one. I'll post a pic if I can. Your shared biking days may be over, but maybe not. Sending hope and good wishes your way.
Lisa: The house looks wonderful. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
I want to prune my rhododendrons today. I'll put the trimmings into the garbage can. We don't have a better way to deal with them.

Home again to gorgeous sunny weather. Haven't been able to access Community on MFP had to reinstall app on ipad. Have 7 pages to catch up on. Scared to get on scale tomorrow, lots of food and drink. Difference now is will not use it as an excuse to give up but will get back on plan this week. Will go back now and read what I've missed.

Lisa - Wow! That's a lot of house and land for the money! Hard to imagine those prices over here in our cluttered and overcrowded country. Hope you get a good look at it soon.
Karen - So glad you are reading it.
Janetr - Best wishes to your determined and talented daughter. She sounds like a fighter.
Feeling just a little unsettled with the wedding tomorrow. I hate all that socialising with strangers business. It will be nice to see DH's relatives, but getting into a posh frock and having to behave is not something I relish.
Rye - We have more or less given up just going out for dinner on our own, unless the restaurant is very special. We eat better at home! I like the idea of the memories.
Much love, Heather UK xxxxxxx2 -

I personally feel that this is the key! Too many times in the past I have used a bad day or few days as an excuse to give up.

I kind of fell off the wagon, but I’m here!
DH and I went out to Mt. Ida about 35 west of us to the Good Ol’ Days Car Show. It was hot but fun.
We stopped at a few antique shops too. A lot of stuff out there!! I got an old blanket chest for $30. It needs to be cleaned up and maybe I’ll paint it antique white to go into my guest room.
When we got home it poured rain and dropped 20 degrees. Did you noticed the blue skies?
I made Waldorf salad for myself since DH won’t eat fruit or veggies. It’s so good! I made a big batch to last a few days.
That’s about it. I’m making cheese enchiladas for dinner. Rice for DH and salad for me.
Kim Your dog is a beauty! I had a springer spaniel that looked like your Levi.
Rebecca Like your beads! You had me shocked! I thought those boobs were yours at first! LOL especially knowing you like the nudist lifestyle!! But then I saw the scar!!
Happy Memorial Day and I’m grateful for all our military’s heroes that gave their lives for our freedoms.

Hi Sisters, Lisa, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to get that lovely property. I wonderful peaceful retreat for a writer. You could have a horse there. That's always my criteria for whether it's a good property or not. LOL.
Heather and Kelly, Born to Run is one of my favourite books. I picked it up at the airport on my way to visit my family in Montana and it reignited my love of running. I have also read Natural Born Heroes and again, it was inspiring-a mystery ,an adventure, a delve into history, an exploration with the writer... I am just heading out now for a thirty minute run with Jock. chat later,Wendy

afternoon ladies~
it was a nice day, we had a little memorial ceremony here at the Atrium , then Trudy and I walked up to the store, and came back... she made Lillan and I a turkey dinner, boy was it delicious.... went earlier with my daughter to pick up her wedding dress...
she tried it on and she looked beautiful.. it isn't fancy but it is gorgeous...
well her fiance. nixed getting Tents, said if it rains oh well.. you know im sorry to say this but ..you know this is your wedding and if its something that Tracy wants he should bend over backwards for her..
enough about that.
Katla~ yes I was there when they read his name and I was glad to be there,,, I have his ashes, and have decided on his upcoming birthday Oct 4th to bury him with our mom... all the summer stuff will be over and we should be able to get his brother, and few of his friends to be there.. it will be a military burial so it will be hard again.. but closure too..
I am trying to fill out court paperwork, because the idiot reverse mortgage company is suing the estate as they want there money right now, so basically they are suing my brother and I,, like we need this on top of everything else..

Morning everyone
Home today as I have someone coming to clean my oven. I am going to take the uppies for a walk whilst she is here. GD is studying for her exams so there will be someone here in case.
Then afters I am going to take GD material shopping for her school task. She is after white denimum to make a jacket but white denimum seems to be a "in fashion only" thing in the material shops so need to find a similar material
Lisa - Love th house
Ryenday - Love the fact you can still fit into your wedding dress. Hope you had anice anniversary

Heather yes I drink kombucha daily. I thought about making it but never have. It is fermented tea. The brand I like GT does not add sugar but uses fruit juice instead. It also does not add stevia which I do not like. It does contain 8 grams of sugar which comes from the fruit juice per 8 ounce serving. I drink it in a wine glass so I limit my portion to one serving.
I do think it is helps with my immune system. (It is more from observation.) It is a bit pricey. I do not drink wine. This is in place of wine for me. They do add fizz so it does not like to be shaken or bumped. I made the mistake of keeping it in our refrigerator door and found a spill on the floor in front of the refrigerator.Margaret
I'm another fan of kombucha and drink it almost everyday as my evening 'mocktail'. I frequently bring it to parties as my AF beverage. I support the local brewers that sell through the farmers markets and small natural food stores. There is one brewpub that my niece turned me onto which has several flavors on tap, which you can buy by the growler. I carry an empty bottle in my car to make the most of those opportunities when I stumble into them. The varieties of kombucha are growing everyday. My advice: sample several!
