Time is your friend Barbie! Healing thoughts to you!

Wendy, Major looks kind of intimidating! I am glad you have him as your watchdig! Our dog was big too, but a pussycat. We had to really tell her to SPEAK, and she would bark, practically jumping at her own sound!

I fixed fettuccine with homemade spaghetti sauce! I only had one portion. Yeah me! I even remembered to line my plastic container with saran wrap, before I put the extra sauce away. I hate when one of my containers turn orange!

We are getting down to peanut butter and jelly these days! I hate when we cut our checking account so close that we are almost at no cents whatsoever. Ha, just like me, but we are eating up things we need to. Both my husband and I were wishing chocolate, but my husband found a packet of pudding mix in the cupboard. I took a mixing bowl with the two cups of milk, mix, whisk, and two spoons out to the living room, and proceeded to mix it all up while we were watching a program. Husband was like, aren't you going to put it in individual cups? I said nope! Have a sppon! We took turns, and such is life! Haahaa!

Hey, that cop was lucky Molly wasn't loose. She would have had a piece of his ankle for sure. She hates strangers and isn't afraid of anything! (Chihuahua) <3 Wendy

Kelly, you're right, those are little golden harem pants to wear under that Indian Princess dress. I soooo wish it was all big enough to fit me. LOL I will definitely post pics of my medieval photo shoot that is brewing in my imagination...

    Current To Do List:

    Medieval photo shoot
    Train 5 young horses
Plant, weed and decorate My Secret Garden
Finish writing my Teen Fantasy Series
Quilt blanket for new grandbaby to come
    Paint landscapes for Christmas presents
Learn Clair De Lune on the piano
Dig mud out of roundpen and resurface
Clean and prepare stall for upcoming foal

Oh yeah, add jury duty and/or court witness to that list for next month...

How did I ever find time to work in an office?

Okay, here is my problem: I am excited and passionate about TOO MANY THINGS! I've got so many projects and ideas on the go that I struggle to find time to finish anything. I am constantly distracted by the next fun thing. I am like a shotgun instead of a rifle. But I hate giving up anything that I love to do. Does anyone else have this problem and if so, how do you turn yourself into a rifle? <3 Wendy

Clean and prepare stall for foal, that's really exciting.
Pick a couple of items and concentrate on those.
Things that are out of your control like jury and court witness aren't really to dos
but obligations. Obligations just happen, but you can't obligate your life away, so make time for things that are your passion like training horses. Your life reads like a movie to me!💗

Did Peak Cardio Strength DVD. I thought it was more cardio, but that’s OK. Since we’ll be going to VA tomorrow, the plan is to do a Step Aerobics Basic DVD at home.

Alvakathyy – if planning a workout motivates you, then you’ve come to the right place for motivation! I usually plan what exercises I will do for the following week. Admitted, there are times when I have to change what I do due to circumstances, but I have something planned. Like I know that since we’ll be at the hotel Sat. I’ll do some HIIT. Then Sun I’m planning to do some balance games on the Wii. I actually have my exercised planned out until next Sunday.

Heather – I’m impressed how far you’ve come on this healthy living journey. And if I recall, recently you’ve incorporated more and more AF drinks

When we got home from ceramics last night Vince mentioned to me that he thinks I should see a dermatologist, to him it looks like a mole on my face has grown. To me, it doesn’t look like it’s grown. But I know that he’s going to continue to worry, so I’ll go just to keep him happy. He commented about some skin tags that I have. I told him that I’ve had them for years and years and they’ve never bothered me. His may bother him, but mine don’t bother me. But I’ll do it to keep him happy. He commented about how he knows I use sunscreen but I usually don’t have a hat on. Well, he may wear a hat outside, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen him putting sunscreen on. You should see how many tubes of sunscreen I have! Food Lion had them on sale, buy 2 get one free, plus I had $2 coupon off each one, so each tube wound up costing like $4. Usually it goes for $9.

Wendy – I like going to thrift stores and getting clothes. The thing I like is the fact that if I get tired of something, I don’t have a problem donating it back. It’s not like I paid THAT much money for it. You never know what you’re going to find. I recently got 2 tops by Talbotts (they’ve an expensive store) for $2 each. Looks like you got some great buys!

Just got back from Kohl’s and WalMart. Needed another 2 panels of the curtains. They were 40% off, I had $10 in Kohl’s cash, plus I had a 25% off coupon. So I saved a bit over $40 (yes, I paid a bit over $20)

Going to see the dermatologist next Tuesday. It’s at 8:30 in the morning, but I think I can handle that.

Went in the pool while Vince went shooting. Sometimes I wish he would ask me to go when he knows that I can. Evidentially, the only other person there was a lady. Now to go cut the grass in a few

One snack I make when it is warm out is I take a 32oz container of greek yogurt and a 12oz container of orange juice concentrate. Thaw the concentrate but do not reconstitute it. Then mix the two together and pour into a pop mold. I usually can get around 20 pops, each one being around 90 calories.

    Meg – SWEET!!!

Rita – loved the area 51 pics. Vince has talked about wanting to go there, wonder if we’ll ever get there. He found this “parking permit” on the Internet and put it on his car. Well, someone in the apt complex we were living in before we bought the home thought it was a real parking permit!!!

Barbie – I’m so sorry you’re not feeling well. It must be extra difficult for you since you are so active. Get well fast.

After going in the pool Vince and I cut the grass and used the weedeater.

Lenora – miss you. Does anyone know what happened to her?

Off to VA tomorrow then home Sat.

Barbie, you will have to think of things you can do while resting. Are there any quiet, inside projects you've been wanting to work on, or any books you want to read? If I was on bedrest, I'd be hand-sewing, drawing, painting, making gifts, studying subjects of interest, writing...maybe I should just go to bed for a couple weeks, LOL. Hope you feel better soon. Howabout a hot epsom salt bath and a glass a wine? Always works for me, <3 Wendy

Rebecca, thanks for the suggestion. It actually makes good sense to tackle the stall first as it will only take me about an hour to clean it and put new shavings down. Then I can cross it off the list and feel very happy at making my list a little shorter. <3 Wendy

So sorry about your back Barbie, sending a virtual massage and hugs. <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3

Yes, folks, I am nearly completely AF these days. It started off in honour of my son, (6 months AF) , but I truly am loving it for its own sake. I have found so many delicious drinks that I don't miss it. I'm taking a rosé wine and a white one to my DSIL this weekend, both delicious, along with a full fat champagne, of which I will have one small glass. We are going out for a meal on Saturday, probably Turkish, so I will have to think about that one. Most places have not caught up with the huge variety of AF drinks on offer. I love my Seedlip Garden, which I have with diet tonic, fizzy water, lime juice, bitters, ice and a sprig of fresh mint. Heaven! :D

    Off at lunch time.

    Much love, Heather UK xxxxxxx

    Good morning Ladies!

Barbie - I am so sorry your back is not better. I can imagine how much stress not being able to walk is adding to your life. Virtual hug for you and prayers for healing and peace.

Lisa - I know you will have so much fun working at the house with the help of your sister and nieces! It is always so much easier to tackle projects when we have help to make us laugh along the way.

Machka - Prayers continue for peace for you and continued healing for your hub. You have so much going on in your life and I want to add my voice to the others ladies in saying I am really impressed with how you have handled all of it.

    Michelle - Safe travels!

Kylia - Your eating was on track, so the rest is just details. The house will still be there to be cleaned tomorrow or even the next day. If it isn't, it won't need cleaned anyway  .

Things here are the same. Hubs will be home later today for a week! Yeah for me! I think I will "help" him clean up the shop and try to find out if he has countertops on his cabinets or not. I recall helping install some, but can't find them for all the crap he has piled up on them! I'm still letting me toes heal so I'm taking it easy on the walking so lifting heavy stuff in the shop and moving it around will help me burn off some calories.

    Have a great Friday ladies!

Good morning all! Happy Friday! Doing the Friday dance here! Whoot! Whoot! I don't have my young weekend charge this weekend; and for that I am SO grateful! I feel the need to just have a weekend to get loose ends taken care of and recharge myself. The only things on my to do list for the weekend is my cupboard doors, food prep for the week, and placing my grant order.
Janet - Oh my! That Mia and Layla! Gorgeous girls! Lucky grandma! <3
Wendy- So happy that those are little harem pants! You will have to get a pic of her in her outfit! It is just darling! I would think if you contacted the courts in regards to the two conflicting times (Jury duty vs subpoena) they will let you know which trumps the other. I would think the subpoena is more important. Plus...is it actual jury duty or is it the vetting process that the courts use to pick the jurors?
    Pip- Thank you!
Mary-Funny that you mention the cardio options. I was giving it all some thought yesterday and was remembering how some of my resistance/strength training got my heart rate up. I think I will begin with that, rather than a full on dive into higher impact cardio (like jogging/running). Thanks for the reminder!
Rebecca- Pudding is a good chocolate snack! Just be sure to watch the portion size! My go to chocolate snack is usually a cup of hot chocolate.
Lisa- So glad your week is going well, with the extra family in town and the cleaning efforts continuing! I have those days when the mfp gods yell at me for not eating enough. Those are usually my "weekend warrior" days. I usually make food logging the last thing I do on mfp. Log it, submit it and log off before the "...you are likely not consuming enough..." (all in red lettering) burns itself into my brain. I figure those days equal out with the days when I am consuming enough for two. :s
Barbie- Oh your poor woman! Feel better! Bless your hubby for picking up the slack; I think that is good for them once in a while. It makes them appreciate you more!

    Well, ttfn xoxoxo KJ (kelly)

Did a step aerobics DVD today (boy, was I sweating afterwards!). Since we’ll be at the hotel, the plan for tomorrow is to do some HIIT.

Barbie – bet you can knit while you’re resting!

KJ – when MFP “yells” at me, I think the same way you do, “it’ll all even out in the end”. I just got a recipe in the male (you see where my mind is!) for chocolate hummus. Gotta give it a try.

I really wish Vince would get ready to go beforehand. It just takes some preparation. Like I had all my clothes, etc. ready to just be packed. He could have done that, the timers for the lights could have been done yesterday, that wouldn’t have hurt anything.

Well, I’ll post this as I don’t know when he’s going to be ready. I would rather get there earlier in the day and relax then start to disassemble the bed.

Help made my pie but flour and egg mixture stayed on the top so turned it out upside down. Tastes fine but not sure what happened, I only had 20cm sandwich tin, maybe that wasn't big enough
