Rye, that photo is amazing! I think I might distract myself today by going on a photography expedition. I want to practice with our big camera. I need to buy a lense for it, I think, in order to take the kind of photos I want to take...
Okie, great work. What an organized garage-not like my husbands!

Barbie oooh, I hope you've gotten some relief and you've got a proper diagnosis, hang in there.
Had a beautiful NY day driving up to more rural parts north of us, fantasizing a bit about our next home, perhaps a forever home? We basically saw fixer uppers, which is right up our alley and it is our first step, so of course, no decisions yet. It was a lovely day filled with dreaming and a little Thai food, for lunch. Happy that we can dream about this together.

The fam-damily is killing it... I'll have only one wall to prime in the morning in the living room and then I'll be able to finish coat it whenever I'm ready to do so. Still thinking about colors. Probably bright white and bring color and life with furniture and books, but still thinking.
Tomorrow is kitchen work. Learned how to texture a wall from my sis, and thinking about patterning the bedroom walls with quilt patterns. Will be quite subtle, but beautiful if I can do it right.
Will also be soaking a wallpaper border off the bedroom upper walls.. Apologize to those who love it, but as someone who has renovated a number of houses, I HATE wallpaper. Worst mess to try to remove, and never seen one that could be equalled by the work my family can do with a broadknife and a paintbrush. I'm a novice at some of it, but I've got time...
Love y'all,

Okie, I have garage envy! Mine needs such an overhaul. It has potential, but it’s not where I’d like it. I’d love to pull everything out and start over with a fresh coat of paint. I love, love, love your pegboards and counters. I have one pegboard, but it is struggling at the moment.4

Thanks drkatiebug! We built the shop a few years ago when my husband was working a jillion hours a week. He and I finished the inside so we got to do it how we wanted. I unpacked all the boxes and made zones (or drawers) for everything and the stuff that I didn't know what to do with I spread out on tarps down the middle of the floor and he would go through it on Sundays and we would put it up. He normally does fairly well keeping it up, but occasionally I have to wade in and prod him to clean stuff up again. I wanted as much peg board as we could so things didn't end up on the floor or counter. There is another wall of pegboard that has all our garden tools hanging on it (even the leaf blowers and weed eater are hanging up). Another corner has peg board that has all the painting supplies hanging on it.

I don't know if I feel any better yet but I saw a doctor at the ED and got some medication for the pain. It was a long wait at emergency, Our hospital is small and there had been a serious car crash and the people from that had the attention of the medical staff for a long time. Then, two people with chest pains and a man with a broken shoulder had higher priority than I did. I'll report tomorrow how I'm feeling after taking the meds.9

Barbie- I hope that you feel better soon!
Wendy - Congratulations on your 7 day fast! I am starting my five-day fast on Monday. What supplements and how much of each would you recommend? At this point the only supplement that I take is Apple cider vinegar 2 tablespoons a day. I also have the makings for bone broth if I feel the need to have some type of nourishment.
Pip- fantastic picture! You definitely look fit and healthy!
Cathy- Great transformation! Good idea to have somebody else work with the air-conditioner guy!
Katla - i'm glad to hear that you had such a fun time in your motorhome! I love our new life with our RV.

Took DGD out to ranch to meet up with her parents. We didn’t stay long as it was 103 outside.
Barbie - hope you get some relief. I missed how you injured your back but know you are missing your walks with your dogs.’
Cathy - you look great. Sorry your AC is out in this heat we’re having.
Michele- are you ok?
We are finally getting back on a good sleep wake cycle after almost two weeks. Unfortunately, I haven’t lost any of the weight I gained on the cruise. Got a splinter in my leg but I didn’t know it was in there until it got infected. So I couldn’t go to the pool all last week. It is better so no excuses for next week. LOL

As we know, menopause officially occurs when we've been 12 months without a period ... but what about spotting? Does spotting count as a period?
I made it to 3 months with nothing, and then a few days of spotting.
Can't wait to get to 12 months period free!! It's been almost 40 years of despising every single one of them. And it didn't help that exercise (long distance cycling) triggered 2 each month.

BTW - there is a Near or Post Menopausal Group (where I've also posted this question). It isn't overly active, but it might be of interest to some of you too.

My husband was sitting beside me when I saw this. He was quite envious.

I didn’t know what this movie was about when a lot of my friends on fb started talking about it. I texted my friend who is a movie buff and she immediately said well go the next night. It was a truly amazing movie. What a story. I love movies and books based on true stories.

I impulsively bought tickets to the NASCAR Pinty Series race yesterday as a surprise for my husband. It has been at least 3 years since we have done anything more than a dinner out for ourselves. We went today and had s wonderful time. I tracked my food and allowed myself to go into maintenance for the day. I’m so happy I did it!

Suebdew - Haven't heard much from you about your cruise. How did it go? I know you liked Moscow.
Barbie - That is so sad about your back. Did the doc say about what it is? Are you worrying if you've done something to your op site?
Okie - Garage envy, big time.
Kylia - Great job cleaning. All shiny! But you definitely have too much stuff.
Trip nearly over. We leave after a leisurely breakfast. Yesterday we found my grandfather's house and I will post a pic later from my phone. We visited the stately home which had a fascinating history of women artists, dating back to the 16th century. Very talented and very determined women.
The evening was good with a glass of champagne to start and then we walked to the Turkish restaurant, where I had the best falafel and hummus I have ever had. Big salad. Then I had a mixed fish kebab. DH and DSIL had moussaka, which was very disappointing. Mine was good.
I took my Alcohol Free wine with me and drank the whole bottle. 160 calories. They kept it cold for me. The other 3 got through almost two bottles of the real stuff, so, guess who felt better and happier last night???
I was over calories, but nothing that one day can't sort out.
Lunch was very late and I got very faint and dizzy. I did have some mints on me to stop me being ill. I have to eat at my regular times or my blood sugar plummets and then it's hard to get it back up.
Love to all, Heather UK xxxxxxx4
