We are home!!!!! We had a good trip and enjoyed ourselves. Right now I'm happy to be in my own comfortable home. I've missed you all.

Hi all,
Even though DH is unexpectedly home because the cricket finished early, I'm still going out with my friend for lunch at the local pub.
She wanted to go for a walk afterwards, to stretch her newly mended tendon. It seems to be doing well.
I emailed our estate agent last night about the mortgage valuation. I'm getting anxious again, Did some breathing meditation when I woke up.
Think I'll send DH out for a bit of shopping for veg and bread. Plus whole milk for yoghurt.
He is a good shopper, though unimaginative and he tends to stick to a list. I use a list as a starting point, not as an exclusive thing. He is responsible for the fruit in the house and I don't have to check on it. We have muesli and fruit salad for breakfast every day, prepared by him, and he takes his responsibility very seriously with a lovely selection of fruits and berries.
He also cooks the stewed fruit we have every evening for dessert, but we haven't had to buy any for ages as our garden has been over brimming with produce.
We make a very good team. We have different responsibilities in the house, which works well, plus we have a cleaner. He does most of the garden apart from the potted plants.
To be honest, I think he does more, day to day, than I do, though it more or less evens out. I do the cooking and the laundry. We share shopping.
When we have a task to accomplish we seem to work it out well between us, like defrosting our huge freezer or doing a 'big shop'. We are fortunate to have our health.

Margaret just hate end of season colds! I do a lot of salt water gargles and saline spray. Staying away from sugar and dairy are my other 2 remedies. Hope you heal quickly.
Going to investigate a PBS show called "the healing mind" all about worry, right up my alley
, hope i can find a book by the Dr. on the series to read, I only caught the end and it sounded like something I could embrace.

I watched 9-11 footage last night and tossed and turned until 11 and was a are at 4:45 this morning... feeling very tired.. working 12-6 today...but someone coming to pick up cantalever umbrella..4 -

I haven't felt great the last couple of days but woke up this morning feeling MUCH better. I am enjoying the rain that we continue to get in little pop up showers. I believe we have gotten about 4" over the last 10 days or so.

Slept 7 hours last night! Minor triumph, but hey, whatever works. Still in El Paso (flying out early Friday morning, and then will be back again Sunday night). NOT been good about my eating on this trip, and paid the price for it yesterday afternoon.
The knee that I slammed into the floor while coming down off a ladder a week and a half ago is swollen and hot, making moving around more hellish than usual, especially with all the airport walking coming up in the next week and a half. My husband is urging me to get the airlines to bring one of the carts there for me, and I just can't bring myself to do it. Vanity? I don't know.
Just don't like feeling fragile. It both annoys and depresses me. I can pay better attention to my eating, and will today. But getting this knee replaced can't come soon enough, and the rational part of my mind is wondering why I put work in front of my own welfare by putting off surgery until December.

(((Lisa))): If your knee is injured, let it have a little rest and ask for a cart at the airport. Pounding your knees on a concrete floor is not the kindest way to care for them. :noway:
We are home at last!!!!! I am happy to be here. We had a great trip and enjoyed the time with DSIL and DH's cousin. We spent an afternoon at Art in the Park in Boise. Local artists and crafters had many lovely items, and they were very expensive. DH’s cousin was looking for a new wallet, and there wasn’t a single one that fit his needs. We invited him to come and visit us so that he could sample Portland Saturday Market. We know there is a great wallet maker there. DH has been carrying a wallet he made for years and it has held up beautifully.
The RV is currently parked across the street. Today we will finish unloading it and take it back to its storage garage.

My daily walking friend is having surgery today. Jake is gone to have his weekly blood test. I am alone eating my breakfast and can leave to walk the dogs at any time I choose. It is nice to have my morning to myself. Jake does a lot to help maintain the house and yard and is respectful of my many routines. His worst trait is that he is "clutter blind". He has a mess of papers and stuff at his end of two tables we share and can take something out to use once and leave it there indefinitely unless I ask him if he still needs it. His many wonderful loving helpful qualities far outshine these few annoying ones and we are able to get long well. He has been a darling through this back injury of mine even with his gigantic health challenges. It is cool and overcast today and will continue this way for the next few weeks. I am grateful for my good walking shoes and warm coat. Barbie from beautiful NW Washington 6 -

have been running around this morning, fed my FIL and walked the dogs.. then calling and getting bills straightened out..getting my teeth cleaned before work.. and working 12-63 -

That reminds me ... I need to find a dentist. It's so hard to know who is good and who is not. But I've got one broken tooth which is getting more sensitive all the time, another that I think is starting to crumble away and it's making my jaw sore, and my whole mouth just hurts for some reason to the point now where I don't like eating.

I heard back from DJ, they will evacuate to a safe area before the storm arrives. She will let me know they are safe after the fact.
I gave her all your well wishes. She said to tell you all Hello and sends her love. She continues to be busy with her other commitments.
