Really warm here today. Put the horses out in the back pasture since there is more shade back there. Goats have a nice shady spot already. Doctor reduced the H2 blocker that I take for reflux by 75% and I am having really nasty rebound reflux. I feel sick if I eat and if I don't eat and my throat is really sore. I think I will message her and see if we can do this in a more gradual way because this is not fun.
Allie - Your cape trip sounds like fun.
Glad some of you are getting rain.
Rye - Love the picture.
Everyone take care, Sue in WA3 -
Barbie: I love the baby hats. What a wonderful service project.
Rita: Love the photos! :flowerforyou:
Lanette: Today was lovely here. Warm enough but not uncomfortably warm. I hope we get more days like this.
Sue: I’ll be sending good thoughts for your doctor’s visit and improved vision.
This morning I went out to the stable and spent about a half an hour with Arrow. He was pleased to see me, and we just walked around in the pasture a bit, then I came home. DH & I brought the RV home and put water in the tank. Tomorrow we head east to DSIL’s place after a stop for fuel on our way. We haven't seen her in person in many months, and we're both looking forward to it.
Prayers for all in need.

How'd I Do?
August:
✖️1. Lose weight.
➡️ Nope. Gained.
✔2. Monitor blood glucose
➡️ Yes. Daily.
✖️3. Exercise - avg 30 minutes/day.
➡️ Nope. My head just wasn't in the game.
✔4. Track daily in MFP.
➡️ Yes. I tracked most days.
✖️5. Declutter. 30 Bags in 30 Days.
➡️ Nope. Just not feeling like doing much.
I'm not sure what's wrong with me. Likely some depression. As I've shared before... It's been a rough year and doesn't seem to be letting up. I'm trying hard to focus on the blessings. And, I need to get out of this house. I spend far too much time here.
September Goals
1. Lose weight.
2. Track blood glucose.
3. Walk daily. Minimum 15-30 minutes.
4. Track daily MFP.
5. Weekly outtings.

THANK YOU!!! Yes, I shouted that! I am thankful for all the suggestions. Lack of water and more alcohol probably are the most likely causes. I have had lots of water today. I had a banana with breakfast (I forgot about that and need to log it) Done, still under calories, so all is good. As for sodium level, I do tend to eat less sodium, but being on vacation means eating out lots, I have actually been over. Not ruling that out though. Milk-YUCK- Not sure how anyone can drink it...my favorite is frozen-hehe! Even that is occasionally as my belly doesn't like it. I will keep in mind though.
Walked 5.5 miles with 161 active minutes! Yay! have a couple of tender spots on feet, but wore sandals to dinner. Different tennis shoes tomorrow as heading into Gatlinburg with friends. Had a nasty storm come through this evening. The wind and thunder were starting as we headed down the mountain. My truck got hit with a few nuts falling from trees. Made it to dinner before it started raining. Was done raining about the time we finished dinner. Lots of tree debris on road heading back up mountain. Apparently it was bad up here. Found that the power had gone out while we were gone. Found the door mat about 20 feet from the door. Everything calm and cool now.
Lots of prayers for healing! Sending them!
Husband whining that I am on computer. Guess I will call it a night!
Oh, Ginger.....try a gratitude journal...several ladies have them....somedays it may be that you are just grateful that you didn't kill someone other days it will be the sun rising. We are all here for you!

Kayla wearing good shoes with support also makes a difference too for your legs. See if that makes a difference too. I too forgot bananas are helpful. I eat mine at breakfast too. They are also helpful if you eat before bed.1

Lol my Grandmother hated milk. So do I. I eat mine frozen too. She sucked it up when her legs hurt though and drank it.2 -
Thank Kylia. I actually had “journal blessings” as a Sep goal - then decided to not make it a goal - just work on doing it as part of my nightly routine. Keeping it short.

Valuer coming between 8 and 8.30, so, unusually, we have our clothes on. I usually do my exercises in the vest and knickers that I wear in bed. He should be quick as it's just for a mortgage, not a buildings survey.
Grrrrrrrrrr! Still had to get up early and make sure things are ship shape. Yesterday we spruced up the yard and outside paintwork, patio etc.

Still hanging in there... one more busy day today, culminating with a 5 pm to 6:30 pm teleconference, and then three days off to get a few more things done in the house. Flying out next Monday to El Paso, back home Friday, then flying out two days later, on Sunday the 16th, to Midland, doing a bunch of driving and meetings, and back home on Thursday night. Then one whole week at home before I'm back to Midland at end of month. Definitely my busy season... but four plane trips later (got one left to go in mid-October) and I'm hopefully done traveling for the year. We'll see.
The whole "trying to stay in the present moment" thing, yeah, that's not happening.
Been keeping up with y'all, but not saying much--by the time I capture one thought, the rest have all flown the coop.
Best of luck, Pip!
Love y'all,

Feeling blech today. Not sure if I've got the flu or if it that time of the month which decided to make a reappearance.
Did get a brisk 6.1 km walk in to the Botanical Gardens and back.
Did not eat lunch. I wanted to buy lunch today, and walked into my favourite place ... stood there a couple minutes ... and walked out again. My stomach said, "Nope!"4 -
Good morning all! Happy Thursday!
Allie- I can not tell you how happy it makes me to see your posts of plans you have with friends and photos of you and your friends out doing things! With all of the issues you are currently having with your dad's place, it is wonderful to see you have this time to be happy and enjoy yourself! You do see this complete turn around from last fall, yes?!
Pip- Woo-hoo! Almost race time! Good luck! Have Fun! I know you and Kirby will be amazing! You do us all proud!
Ginger- Don't be too frustrated with yourself and your goals made or not made. Like you said, you have had a rough year so far. Been there. You know, when you go into that auto-pilot mode, when things get hard; sometimes you just have to hang on and ride it out for a while because adding anything else to your load feels like it will break you! Hang in there. Ride the wave. Keep paddling. Soon you will be on top and ready to stand back up and get s**t done. We are in your corner and have ears/shoulders ready for you!
Kylia- I am a pickle juice girl! I drink a lot of water, though (80-100 oz/day). When I was running every day, I would drink about two or three ounces of pickle juice every day. Not hard for me, as I have done this since I was a child. Love the stuff! I never drank milk when I was a child. I hated it and my mother wouldn't buy chocolate to mix with it, so...no milk for me. THEN, I got pregnant with my daughter in my early twenties and craved milk! I began drinking about 20-30 ounces of skim milk a day throughout that pregnancy. I don't drink much of it now, though. Maybe an eight ounce glass a week.
BArbie- Love the hats! You are so talented and I think it is wonderful that you can put that talent and compassionate heart to use doing/making things for others!
Rita- Roswell looks to be in the middle of Nowhere! No wonder aliens landed there! I am so excited for you and this part of your RV journey! I am following you closely on this adventure!
Mary- So glad your daughter's surgery went well and will keep your daughter in law in my thoughts and prayers as she continues to fight this infection! Is this the same one that she had a few months ago?!
Suebdew- Thinking of you and your beautiful eyes! Hope you have a successful trip to the doc and they can figure things out and get you back to seeing the world a little better! Sending lots of prayers and hugs your way!
It has been a busy week so far (glad it is a short one)! Tuesday work all day then my provider meeting in the evening, Wednesday work all day until 8pm, today work all day then get Tim, Colin and myself to the next town over for fingerprinting (state mandated), tomorrow I work all day but I plan to do absolutely nothing in the evening because I will have Trentin early Saturday and Sunday morning until mid afternoon each day. On the upside, Trentin's mom has asked if I can take him an extra evening during the week and possibly every weekend beginning in a month or two. That works for me!
Ah well, the day marches on! The sun is finally coming up and I better get things ready for the kiddos! Love and hugs to all who need them ttfn xoxoxo KJ (Kelly)

Thank you again for all your suggestions. Really pushed the water yesterday, downside, up twice to go pee, but no leg cramps, so right back to sleep!!!! I know that my body adjusts to the water in a couple of days. Will try to drink more in the morning today. Enjoying God's sunrise this morning! Birds singing. It is a gorgeous day!
Have a blessed day!

On the surface it looks like I had a great August. I did close all the rings on my watch each day and I did earn my special September badge on my watch. However, I lost .2 lbs which put me at a new low, which is too low.
My goals for September are the same, close all the rings on my watch every day, earn my special watch badge again this month and gain a couple of pounds.

Kiowa, 54, from Tx here.. laying here. Achilles surgery last month.. non weight bearing for a month... then we shall see. I feel the weight creaping up! Which starts a snow ball effect. Four walls don’t help. BUT I’m determined to be an exception to the rule. I’m limited on what I can do and cook.. time to get creative! NO EXCUSES... What I eat in private will show in public!
Gods Blessings to you all for your inspiring posts.

Hi everyone, Happy September!
Thank you for your inspiration and insights shared throughout the month.
August was a bit challenging but filled with fun. Did okay on my goals - sleep averaged 4h 20min, water 72oz, steps 7600, declutter 3 drop offs but not going to paint...maybe in Nov.
Taking on a job change, stressed out, letting myself slip into poor choices. On an up note - for my interview fit into slacks that didn't fit in June. So # on the scale aside there is a good shift going on with my body.
Sept goals -
Daily 6hrs sleep,10k steps, 96oz H2O
Keep up Decluttering.
Mind the shopping cart
Log every bite.
Be present in each moment.

Mornin' All! I'm off to cardio rehab for the first time this morning. Two months of PT and OT got my strength back after a carotid artery stent and a very bad flare of gout. I'm feeling about 85% but so much better.
I'm down to 192.6 from 224 and owe it to my new vegan food plan. Also down from 40 units of insulin twice a day to 30 units once a day and no BP meds after being on three for years... I think this is working.
Sept. Goals:
Lose 5 lbs.
Swim twice a week
Declutter studio
Log food and exercise on MyFitnessPal...
P.S. My primary care doctor is also a vegan and that really helps...9 -

Kiowa, Welcome. I feel your pain, not being able to do much. I am consigned to a month of mostly lying down and limited walking and had to get very strict with my eating to avoid putting on extra weight during this slow time. Checking in with this thread every day has helped me stay focused on what is most important.
Suanough Glad you found us. We are a friendly bunch and welcome hearing about your success so far.
Kylia, my husband swears by tonic water (it has quinine) to deal with leg cramps. He buys the diet stuff so the calories aren't overwhelming.
Kelly, I admire how you can find time for everything including rest with your full work schedule.
My plan for today: walk dogs, lie down, fold laundry, lie down, eat lunch, lie down, walk dogs, lie down, eat supper, lie down. I am following directions and am so grateful that the pain has continued to diminish which is not only good in the moment but indicates that the bone is healing.

SueBDew hope you can feel the caring and healing vibes we all are sending even tho reading is out for now.
Mary thanks for the update, keeping both in prayer.
Barbie knitting such great love gifts... while lying flat on your back in pain? Inspiring!
Ginger ((hugs))
Kylia "grateful that we didn't kill someone" HAH! Ain't it da truth?
Heather "vest and knickers that I wear in bed" hmm having a little trouble with that image...;)
Jazzypdx con VERY gratulations on the NSV interview slacks! Couragia, or as Rori says, you can do this!
Suanough no BP meds and down to a third of former insulin? What great NSVs! You'll kick butt at cardio rehab.
Welcome Kiowa fm TX!
Milk  Mama made me drink a glass with every meal. Often it came right back up. No one knew from lactase deficiency back in the day. Never had that problem with the frozen stuff, but had to be within steps of the bathroom afterwards...
Time to pack, ttyl.

Ladies - Please pray for Louis, he is having a colonoscopy today at Noon-thirty. Both sons have said they are worried about them finding something. I hope that doesn't happen.
My son, Trey, has started Zoloft and isn't nearly as 'angry' as he has been for several years. His wife, Jenn, has been put on a 'mood' stabilizing med; hopefully she will continue taking it. The PA has called her twice to check on her. Apparently, she voiced her up and down moods. I hope she does not go off it; but, I never asked for her to be a friend on Facebook; but, I was told that she has posted 'negative' things about me and that hasn't changed. Will, Tami, and Mallory have all be 'stressed' by Wills failure to talk to Tami about whatever is 'stressing' him. He's never had a mortgage; he's always been provided with a trailer to live in; he makes good money; but, has gotten tired of his bosses 'thinking' he should be there 24/7. Sometimes he stays with Tami, other times she stays at his place. But, that means she 'has' to drive into town. She and her 'ex' has been a 'dick-head' about child support and paying it 'late' and sometimes 'only' if she has demanded that he pay it [because she and Will want to go out to eat]. I am not sure if part of what is troubling Will might be his job; of it he is irritated with Tami because her 2-bedroom, 1-bath home is 'not big enough when he is out there' Normally, when she has only 2 days with Mallory, she stays in town. They have split custody (each have her 1/2 of the year. It is bad because he wants it to be kept the same unless it is more convenient for him. Tami has allowed Mallory to stay with him for a week because they usually go to the beach right before school starts. They have only been here once since they married in 2015; and, that time she said that he could not have her because she was taking her to Georgia because they have family here. He does not like Will; and vice versa. But, they do speak to one another 'if' they have to.
Will was in a really bad mood when we went out there the week his birthday falls in; but, now we have decided that it would be best if we moved it earlier in August. We also have asked if it would be convenient with them to come back in approximately 6 months. Seeing him only once a year just doesn't cut it. He said we could come any time we wanted to. He got more irritated when Louis said something about Jenn and told him they will never come back to Georgia because of her jealousy of Tami and how she treats her. Trey has now taken the position that he doesn't understand why we just cannot get along. I was happy that he 'finally' put me 'outside of any argument' she starts. If she is 'ugly' to me; and, we are outside - I will just walk back into the house. If we are in our house I might react or say something about it. I've never said anything 'negative' to her in her home. But, after she supposedly 'smoothed things over' with Will and Tami, she wrote me an email dredging up old 'hurts' and that 'we did not think she was good enough for Trey. I've never said that - I 'love' her because she is the woman Trey fell in love with; but, she isn't very 'likeable' and I did not respond to the email. But, she still compares herself to Tami, and whenever we go out there, or sometimes right before we go - she'll make some kind of random snarky remark. This last time, at Emilee's pool party for her birthday; she got in the pool and said, "I know I don't look as good as Tami would look in a bathing suit. Louis and I were 'surprised' and I guess we did not respond because 'it was petty'. She posted on Facebook after Will and Tami had come here, that 'she wished she could know out the knees of every thin/skinny person. While I have 'deactivated' my FB account - mostly because of my sister's constant remarks about 'how stupid who only watch Fox News must be stupid'.
No more about them. I just hope that Will and Tami will talk about what is troubling Will. He voiced his opinion about being called while he was in 'church'; but, left because one of his bosses had gotten stuck. Another time one of them cut out the back strap and left the deer right there in the woods. He was 'livid' and said all he had to do was bring it to the cooler and he would have gutted it and put the meat in the freezer to take to a processor if he did not want it. The boss finally apologized to Will about 5 days later. When they come down, Will cleans their house and trailers and makes sure the carts and washed and fills them up. I think he is beginning to think all they now see is 'him being the hired help'. He did not want to talk about anything and you'd have to be able to clean shell-fish to get him to talk.
The robo-calls have started again. Dangme, it I hate them. Last night we binged watched the last 1/2 of "Yellowstone" with Kevin Costner as the main character. I hope it is renewed next season. I need to delete some of the movies and shows I have saved to make more room for others I want to save.
Thank you ladies for listening to me

Feel knocked out at the moment. Just had a short nap. DH went out and did a big supermarket shop, so we have guinea fowl for dinner with parsnips, carrots, fennel and onions underneath.
May be harbouring a cold - face feels a bit weird and nose itchy. Might just be tired - very short night last night. Was awake till 1.30 and up early.
The valuer did an efficient job, so we should hear soon if all is proceeding.
Haven't done any bonus calories today, but I'm just dropping.
Hope I cheer up soon.
Much love to everyone, Heather UK xxxxxxx7
