Barbara wrote "Janetr what happened to the shop that sold your ornaments last year? Dang you have a good looking family!"
Thank you for your sweet words. I do have ornaments in the shop but it's really been the wrong time of the year for them. I'll be displaying them on a Christmas tree in the shop window after Thanksgiving. I'm hoping that will boost exposure. I've sold a few, plus some southwest looking necklaces at the shop. Thanks for asking.

Lost over two hours sleep last night, just from an overactive mind.
Emptied a few more boxes (after our exercises.) We have at last got homes for all our glasses. We have loads.
After lunch we decided to go down to the London to Brighton Veteran Car Rally on the sea front. Caught a bus and walked the last bit.
It was truly amazing. A world event. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Then caught a bus back again. Like Terri, buses are free for Old Age Pensioners.
So, another great day in Brighton and Hove.
Much love, Heather UK XXXXXX

Oakie - How fun to go see Rick Springfield. He is still great! My friend (and former bandmate) used to work for Rick. He was his bass player (you can see him in th Jessies Girl video). How was the show?2

The show was fantastic! He was so entertaining! I’m sure I saw your friend in the videos that were playing. I was really impressed that he showed pieces of videos from back in the day. He didn’t shy away from showing his younger self behind his current self. He had a very young guitar player, and he kept up with him (physically) jumping around and clowning around on the stage.

Happy Sunday! I awoke to two texts from youngest son. First one said he arrived at Narita, and 3 hours later he was waiting for the bus to the base. 9+ hour flight from here to Narita, and 3 hrs from Narita to Fukokoa. I hope he is now sleeping. My talks to him stating he need more texts from him helped!
So this November my goals will be more mental than physical.
-learn that missing someone is healthy and something I chose to never get over. Just like loving him when he's here, the ache of missing him will be as strong.
-presently, knowing he made it fine, has given me an immense sense of pride, and the fact he did it all by himself, has me strangely calm. I have yet to really cry about this experience, very unlike me.
- I shall concentrate on tasks. Take my vitamins. Exercise with husband daily, at the gym. Be grateful for family.

I’ll get u after the run tomorrow
LOL Rebecca and Pip. I can see it now.... Rebecca, better you than me, at least this round. Whew!
Rebecca, so neat you can follow DS's flight! Do you think he'll be able to communicate much as to where he's staying, friends he meets, sights he sees? Tho being able to and actually doing can be 2 different things to kiddos.
Pip - love all the photos by the way. When will you and Kirby return?
OK ladies, don't forget to set those clocks back!

Heather, what a great adventure in your new town. Every time we've moved, I've lost lots of sleep thinking about where I want to put things. It has always been part of the adventure. Enjoy.3 -

Hi Gals,
Machka - I have thought a ton about what really makes me happy, and I am happy a lot, but the that real glow happy was Friday/Saturday – I talked to my god-daughter in Boston for about an hour as I gardened, then my nephew came over and we spent a day and a half together – pure bliss.
Love the gratitude list…
Lisa – I am thrilled you were not coming to the Museum of Ice Cream with me ---LOL we will have to do something else if you make it out here sometime. I was delighted to hear how John is doing, I remember when you were so worried about him, and am totally impressed in how far his come.
Newbies – welcome, logging every bite is what most of us have found is the most critical step. You can lose weight with just logging, but exercise – even little bits help a ton…. And you’ll begin to see places to add in the bits of exercise… It is also great to learn about the foods – what is higher or lower in calories and where you can make a difference. Sauces for me was a surprise, I found a salad dressing and a BBQ sauce that I like but both are under 60 calories per 2 tablespoons instead of the 200+ on the ones I used to prefer. Those “surprise” calories can make a huge difference over a week/month/year….
Lanette – I am glad the fasting thing worked for you, even the amount of fasting I had to do for my colonoscopy almost got me to call the ambulance, my body could not handle it.
Janetr – beautiful ornament
Sue – so happy for a year of no co-pay!!!
Irish Teri - I’ve missed you
Heather – what a fun event!
Monthly Gratitude
1. Smell – today it is clean dog, as it was bath day for Levi
2. Technology – my smart phone
3. Color – sunrise – orange/pink/red
4. Food – herbal teas – they solve so much for me, a snack, a warm thing to hold, …..
Smiles

Good afternoon y’all!
Today has been a good day! I took a nice nap after church on the sofa. I felt so good! Last night I woke up at 2am, then at 4am. I guess I was worried about the time change.
Gratitude #4 - Since I grew up in SoCal and lived in Texas, TexMex or Mexican food, is my favorite. I love cheesy enchiladas, guacamole and tortilla chips, and tortilla soup. Hot salsa, fajitas, cilantro and quesadillas!! My DH usually go out for Mexican on Friday nights. So I limit my calories so I can partake.
Pip Congratulations! That is so awesome for you both. I love the pictures of your family too! Very nice.
Rebecca it’s cool you watch the Flight Tracker to see where your son was. It was good you had some time with him.
I blew off the deck and front porch but a storm came thru and the wind piled on the leaves again. I love the different kinds and colors of the leaves.

Well the owner of this home dropped by today with his adult son. I let them look around, but legally they should've given us a notice first. He was a nice guy, and we had a good visit.👍. Husband and him had lots to gab about being both Navy. This home is his retirement home and in 4 years he is probably wanting to return from Buenos Aires and remodel it. We are content with that plan. I told him to keep us in the loop.
We didn't think this would be out retirement home. I have talked with eldest son, and maybe we could purchase a home together. Something we could make our own. Its really difficult with a rental.

Dana - I always enjoy seeing photos of you and your DH and Dolly! Glad to hear Jessica's work is starting up again, even though slow.
Kim - My type of fasting is more "fasting mimicking" meaning eat normal most days, but cut calories in half or way down a day or two a week. It's more for what it does to clean out dead cells (autophagy) and regain what it feels like to be hungry. Yes, it is a way to lose belly fat as well. I still try to get 12 or 14 hours between supper and breakfast the next day. Good thing about this vs. the colonoscopy fast is that if I get really hungry I can have a small handful of nuts.
Barbara AHMOD - we are so glad you have joined us on here. Even tho I have close neighbors who we really get along with, there's no one to really share things with like the gals this group.
My decluttering today was a cleaning out small basket in the kitchen. Found a pair of earbuds that worked and three fairly new 5 x 8 tablets and tossed out empty seed packets, ancient datebooks, dried up wite-out. Score! Now I'm looking around to see what my declutter will be tomorrow. Kind of fun making it into a game and not forcing myself to do it all at once.
Okie - Rick Springfield! Ok I am jealous! DH and I just watched a Tom Petty special on AXSTV - love to see these older rock stars out there playing their hits. I think he must have performed "Free Fallin'" (my favorite) before we realized he was on. That's OK I'm playing it in my head right now, lol.
I've been thinking about what I do for fun. I enjoy the simple things but seem to have lost my mojo. If you see it anywhere, please send it back home to me.
I was up at "normal" time this morning - clock said 3:30 and hope to stay up past 7 tonight.
Have a good evening ladies!
