This was my last bit of exercise for the year, felt great to get one more run in for 2018! I missed my walking goal, but came over on my running goal so I’m not bothered.
Totals for December:
Run: 35.9mi/30mi
Walk: 26.5mi/30mi9 -
12/31 13.65 miles, 245 days on the run
535.22 miles for December 2018
245 days on the run (every day since May 1)
352 days total running for 2018
April 2018 was the only month I did not make 200 minimum goal
4749.66 total running miles for 201810 -
Got the last 3.0 miles of the month/year in today. I was stuck on the treadmill again, but I felt much better today than Saturday. That finishes me out at exactly 38.0 miles for the month.8

First run of 2019 done! Excellent way to start the year!10

I was looking at my year end stats on Garmin. It shows that I ran 1096.4 miles in 2018. Strava only shows 1082 miles. I guess it is a rounding error, but 14.4 miles is significant to me. That is more than a HM so I am going with Garmin's number.

My planned run got shorter and shorter until it completely disappeared because now I don't have time. I wonder if my body isn't fighting something off. Oh well, tomorrow is another day, another year, and if I'm blessed to wake up healthy and able to run, I'll be right back out there. Thank you to everyone who was part of our group this year!
@polskagirl01 It must be something in the air. I did the same thing. I just couldn't get my lazy butt out of bed this morning.3 -

@Avidkeo Ahhh.....wrong thread. Try this one
Congrats on the very first 2019 MFP MRC report!
:P
@kgirlhart I always use my Garmin number because I figure it's closer to the source than Strava. And to be honest, the measurement error for your GPS is going to be a lot greater than 14.4 miles over the course of a year anyway. I always get a kick out of GPS outputs which report a run to the nearest hundereth of a mile or kilometer. There's no way it's that accurate.

Final run of 2018 done! I spent the morning waiting for and then during furnace service, and it was bit chilly in my house (good news is that furnace is working for now, bad news is that it probably needs to be replaced). So I way over dressed for my run at 40 degrees and had to shed a layer. Lots of people out on the trail around the lake so lots of happy new year greetings along the way.

Last run of the year!!!!
The rain blew off last night so it was absolutely gorgeous outside! Got to try out my new tech, which was awesome! Cord-free! Though these headphones block a lot of noise. My wired ones were specifically running headphones and were designed for me to hear the outside world well with the music basically as a background. It worked great outside unless it was windy, then all I hear is a loud whooosh and a little music. Anyway, these make everything so quiet that I can’t hear people or bikes coming up behind me at all. Got surprised by a couple of bikes today. But I do hear my own breathing and footfall really well and I found that very meditative. I think I may try one ear next time. I really like having music but the heart attack every time something passes me isn’t fun. As far as safety is concerned, my neighborhood has nice big sidewalks so it’s pretty rare for me to venture into the street.

5 miles this evening. After feeling old, fat, and slow the last few runs, today was almost the opposite. Felt comfortable, light, and easy. One of my best runs in a long time. Hoping this carries into the new year! Finished the month with 140 miles, and 2018 with 1185 miles.
Happy New year everyone! Stay safe.

No, I was just bragging in general lol. Especially since my running this last month has been appalling 😂🤣 but yeah will post in the new thread, thanks.6 -
Calling it on 2018 right now. Plan to overeat and hang out with the fam instead of run.5

I decided to give up my Facebook account so I had to delete my MFP as a result and start over. This is why I only have a few posts under my name. My goal was to hit about 110 miles for the month. I had a to skip a few runs here and there due to some sore hips. But I'm feeling a lot better now.

My brain was having an argument with itself on the way home on running or not running. The good half won. It was a nice 4 miles in the rain. The hat I wore annoyed me so maybe I should have skipped it.
I hit 625 of 650 this year. Not too bad for a comeback year that started off with some dizziness issues. Now, on to 2019!
ETA: I stuffed myself with steak, sweet potato and champagne for dinner.7 -

Thank you, 2018. I didn't get everything I wanted to out of you, but I'm very grateful for what I did get. May 2019 be better... for all of us.11

So, last night I had a dream I went for a run, found some kids and ran with them for a bit. I then told them I was the fastest runner in the group, so if I a bear came after us, they were all in trouble. Then, no joke, I woke up and wondered if I remembered to log the run.
I definitely need more eggnog.8
