Round 61 - (my 2nd round)
51, Standing: 5'9" in NYC
OSW: 274 ~ CSW: 234.2 ~ GW: 230
12/03 ~ 235.2 - End R60 not too bad overall. Down 1.6 lbs.
12/04 ~ 234.2 - SOOOORE is the word of the day.
12/05 ~ 233.1 - Unexpectedly had time yesterday and spent HOURS deep cleaning house, moving furniture, reorganizing closets and decorating for the holidays. So surprisingly not as sore today, but feeling achy enough in my knees and lower back to make this a rest day for sure. Hoping some mild stretching this morning and eve gets the kinks out ~ and the weight loss keeps dropping! Have a great day everyone.
12/06 ~ 232.9 - My sore body bows in gratitude and prays the good fortune continues, lol 🙏
12/07 ~ 232.8 - thought it would be higher, but a drop is a drop! Happy Friday all!
12/08 ~ 233.4 - Ate lightly yesterday but ended up finishing the night with a wine spritzer, crab cake and a piece of chocolate! Had extra calories, so still ended under in every category except fat of course, lol. 5 hours sleep has me feeling hungrier than usual this morning but no complaints.

Round #61 My Round #7
Female/49 years/Missouri
Round 55 * -3.2 (I was sick)
Round 56 * +1.6
Round 57 * -1.8
Round 58 * -1.5
Round 59 * -0.04
Round 60 * -0.06
OSW - 213 (highest weight ever 280 but I've had most of that off for more than 15 years but still)
CW - 186.4
RGW - 185.4
UGW – 135
Food Goals:
Get 5 servings of fruits/veggies every day.
Stay under my calorie goal of 1,400.
Exercise Goals:
Walk at least an hour 3 days a week, 4 days if nothing better is available.
Weight training 1 day a week
12/04 - 186.4 Just one day off from hitting my 186 goal. I guess eating 300 calories all day and 1100 after 6:00 p.m. is going to have an impact. Sure I stayed within goal but the timing screwed me for next day weigh in - lesson learned. Going to the gym tonight for weights. After six rounds I've lost 5.9 pounds. Very close to a pound a week. If I keep that pace I'll be at my goal in 1 year. I started in March but didn't really get serious until July or August. Here's to the next six weeks. It would be nice to start the new year in the 170's.
12/05 - Traveling no scale. I drove four hours yesterday in the snow, then went straight to the hotel. I did two miles on the treadmill but did not make it to the gym. The roads are clear, I'm going to the gym tonight.
12/06 - Traveling no scale. Went to the gym and had a great workout. Stayed within calories and didn't have any sweets. I'm driving 4 hours home this afternoon - in snow again. I'm a little anxious about tomorrow morning's weigh-in after two days of nothing. This weighing every day thing is kind of addictive.
12/07 - 186.1 I'm happy with that. My boyfriend was traveling with me which means I'm going to much more interesting restaurants and it's more of a challenge to stay within calories. In this case Thai and Vietnamese; I struggle to log it. I do my best guess and that has to be good enough. I still exercised and didn't go too crazy (Ok I had more of his onion strings than I should have on the last day).
12/08 - 186.7 Boom- Chicka Dark Chocolate drizzle is fine in small quantities, unfortunately small quantities aren’t possible because it’s so delicious. I now know I can’t handle it and won’t buy it again. I have no excuse

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after.
I need to step up my game if I want to meet any of my goals.

12/06 146 Holding steady. Can not believe how close we are to the end of the year. Thinking about the holidays makes me nervous. Even though my goal has been to get to 140 by the end of the year, I actually will be ok if I maintain my weight through the holiday and not gain! Sorry everyone, I have slacked off posting. I will make sure I post every day this round.
12/07 146 Surprise lol. It's all good though, better than a gain .

Day/Weight/Comment:
12/04 - 176.8 I’m going to stay smart while doing December in Style!
12/05 - 176.8
12/06 - 178.4
12/07 - 178.0 This is from working my butt off yesterday. So happy. A loss. I do not take this for granted.
12/08 - 178.0 After speaking with @MadisonMolly2017 and watching her successful progression using small steps and realistic goals, I decided that I needed to change my end weight goal and time frame. I have not done well this fall and it would be unhealthy of me to try to reach my original goal by Valentine’s Day, especially when I have already lost so much and am closer to the end of the weight loss journey. My new goal by Valentine’s Day is 155. I do continue to strive to ultimately reach 145, perhaps by my birthday in May. Between now and my two goals dates, I plan on making mini goals and changes to help me achieve success. She has pointed out that small changes over time turn into big successes. Example: Add a 15 minute walk into my day 3 or 4 times per week. Add 10 additional ounces of water into each day. Slowly progress these into more. (Sometimes you just can’t jump into the whole 80 or 90 ounces at once). Thank you @MadisonMolly2017 for helping and for setting such a good example. I am grateful to you all for your kind & caring help. @GrandmaJackie for this wonderful ongoing challenge that reminds us all with daily weigh-ins that we should take it one day at a time and that there will be normal fluctuations and that we are all challenged in different ways. @abowersgirl for your good example in exercise and making even 5 spare minutes that I may have really count. @tiabirdie56 for all your research, your shared information on this Just Give Me challenge and for all the challenges that you present on the Autumn Winter 2018 to Spring 2019 Challenge that you host. @quiltingjaine (and all the others) who support me in my Keto efforts, not just to lose weight, but to change my overall health by improving (and maybe someday eliminating) my Type 2 Diabetes using my low carb Keto lifestyle as a tool. @fitby44 for her FABULOUS post today. I think her insight this morning has the potential to Change All Of Our Lives. With more short term and attainable goals, I think complete success will come soon enough. Taking things slower and doing it more simply will help me keep my head up during my journey instead of always looking down at my feet in shame. Sorry for the long post but I think those that help us most deserve the shout out. But know this…. I learn so much from each and every one of you and I am honored to get the opportunity to know you all.

22nd Round for me: Female 65, height – 5’
Here we are again. Looked over all my rounds and realized that I’ve only lost around 3 lb. total. 😖 I’d lost about 4 lb. on MFP before joining this challenge. I feel like I’ve lost around 10 – which I have. I also gained 7. Have to be less complacent about it. New maxim: each round counts.Round 39 (1st for me) – SW 163, loss -.2Round 61 – 160.8 Again, goal this round: under 160

Round 60 – SW 161.6, -.8
I’m going to apply to go on a short course in April. That is 10-12 weeks away. So my more immediate goal is to lose 1 lb/round. The course is something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time – I don’t have to lose weight for it but it would be sweet if I did.
Ultimate Goal Weight – 128; Hoping to be under 140 by end of June.
Day/Weight/Comment
12/04 – 160.8
12/05 – 161.2 – Finished my part-time work on Tues. and instead of jumping into all the other stuff I now have time for, I have spent two days mostly wasting time. I did get to the gym this morning though and think I’ve got my head together for tomorrow so I don’t fritter it away as well.
12/06 – 161.2 – Despite going to the gym, calories were a couple of deserts over yesterday and about the same the previous two days so will take this weight and be thankful.
12/07 – 162.2 – Well now see the bump up and yesterday was not good either. Too much chocolate. Signed up for Shrink Yourself when it was on Black Friday sale (annoyed that it went even cheaper after B. Friday). Starting to use their “pause a moment and think” when I feel like snacking. The think part is admitting that this is emotional eating, why am I really doing this, what can I do to address the problem/stress that would work better than eating. If I can just do that I’m OK. So my goal for today to get out of the mini-binge hole is to “pause & think.”
12/08 – 162 – Good day yesterday, concert tonight; leave home at 4:30 and back around 9:30ish so will be a challenge for meals. Guess I should take a good snack and have something healthy when I get home. After all the organizing stuff we will likely be sitting around for 45 min. but not enough time to make it worth going home.

ROUND 61 (Round 8 for me)
5’5” 66 y/o Texas Lady
SW 178 lb.
GW 140 lb.
Started Keto WOE on September 24th (2018). Still experiencing decreased arthritis hip and shoulder pain since the second week of Keto. Since starting the keto, I’ve lost 21 lb., I wear smaller jeans, and I’m encouraged to press on. Staying within calorie limits is easy enough, but not exceeding my carb limit is difficult. Per my KetoMojo meter, I’m in ketosis most of the time.
Rounds 54 – 60 resulted in a loss of 20.4 lb.! Love it!
Day/Weight/Comment
12/04 156.4 This is what I wanted to see yesterday! Better late than never. Yesterday, my podiatrist offered a $450 custom orthotic insert my insurance won’t cover. I’ll think about it for 2 weeks before I see the doctor again. Meanwhile, I have a wrap on my foot, and Thor (my GSD) and I will start C25K today. We walked 5.2 miles twice last week, so it’s time to pick up the pace.
12/05 156.0 Thor and I incorporated C25K into the beginning of our 5 mile walk yesterday. I was excited, and it felt great; however, last night, my left knee hurt—a lot. I iced it and took an extra anti-inflammatory. It’s not quite as bad this morning, but it hurts, and I’m walking with care. My initial thought is that I should have done more lower body strength training to prepare myself. I may have to backtrack and give myself another month of preparation. My foot didn’t hurt, so I’ll probably trust the podiatrist and buy the orthotic insert. I ran in my new Mizuno running shoes, which is a brand that has wide widths, good arch support, and has served me well in the past. I really want to run again.
12/06 156.2 As slow as I moved yesterday, this weight looks reasonable. I was supposed to complete my second C25K session today, but it’s not to be. I’ll have to be patient—knee is still hurting. I practiced walking slowly yesterday and making my knee bend. I can’t walk stiff-legged and expect it to loosen up. My cousin gave me an ointment, and I used heat a few times yesterday. I see the orthopedist tomorrow. For today, I’m going to play cards with the girls and try not to think about the knee. I’ve learned, “All things work together for good to them who love the Lord, to those who are called according to his purpose.” I just have to stop whining and complaining. 😊 Have a blessed day, Everyone!
12/07 155.2 No whining or complaining! I enjoyed playing cards with the girls and ate according to plan, but I sure miss walking normally. Thor doesn’t understand why we’re not getting out for our walks. I hope to get tips/information from the orthopedist that will soon have me walking (running?) again without pain.
12/08 154.4 I like the looks of that number. Doc said I have a torn meniscus and gave me a steroid shot. He suggested I stick with walking, but I’m not ready to give up on running. I will strengthen my knees before trying to run again. I hope the meniscus will heal, but, if not, I’ll have it repaired. This morning, my knee still bends more easily, but it’s more swollen than yesterday. I’ll try some ice. This, too, shall pass!

@charlie9er Do you not like asparagus or Brussels sprouts? Two of my faves and much better nutritional choice than mashed or sweet potatoes, generally. LOL I see @FarmerCarla asked the same.
@deepwoodslady Donna, what a beautiful post! Thank you!!

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.
12/3 130.0 Round 60 end weight
12/4 132.0 Totally expected. CARB LOAD! Satisfied my craving for veggies tempura yesterday! It’s been about 6 months since we last went there.
12/5 133.0 I hardly had any water yesterday and then set my bottle down when we were at Ethel M’s and forgot to pick it up! Carl got up early this morning to take friends to the airport and in an effort to be quiet, dropped something causing me to bolt upright in bed at 3:43AM. I tried to go back to sleep but that didn’t work. It could be the carbs from Monday but I think this higher weight is the result of getting up so early. So I’m having my coffee, and WILL weigh again later. Maybe I’ll try to nap later. I am not a napper. Gym this afternoon with Amy. Treadmill
12/6 131.5 Good day yesterday. Gym @2 today with Amy. Treadmill and weights. Grand-girls have basketball today @ 4:30- one player, one cheerleader. Then I think Jimmy John’s Unwich for dinner and music at Fiesta @6! Busy day!
12/7 132.0 No JJ’s or Fiesta yesterday. My hamstring and neck hurt and it was all I could do to sit on the bleachers and watch the ballgame. Our girls won - big time.
12/8 132.0 Hamstring was better yesterday but neck was not. Finally got to sleep at almost 2AM this morning. Used a 4 year expired “heat wrap” on my neck/shoulder.9 -

This is my second round, very excited! My main goal for this round is to just not put weight on. December is a huge month of celebrations in Australia with Summer and Christmas but I'm going to try and stay focused during the many festivities coming up over the next 10 days!!
Update: have been MIA the last few days not logging my entries due to a mix of travel, not being able to weigh in and knowing I wouldn't like the results if I could. My whole thing is about accountability, this isn't good enough, I need to do better!

12/4 - 178.8 - Starting to come back down. I never have a Round goal weight, only a 10 lb goal to reach. This time I set one. 175 lbs, to keep me accountable and away from the carbs until I reach it. BECAUSE, there are 2 carb days I am looking forward to, gingerbread and belgian waffles both courtesy of my son's baking. I've been waiting on this gingerbread for 4 years
12/5 - 176.8 -
12/6 - 176.2 -
12/7 - 176.4 - Up slightly. Feeling a little under the weather the past few days. Sore throat TRYING to take hold. Felt out of it yesterday and instead of laying down for a few, I ate a few tortilla chips. They did perk me up slightly and I was able to get through my evening chores.
12/8 - 176.4 - I'm calling yesterday an OMAD day, my meals were so close together. Hungry! Ate 1oz of pretzels and 2TBS homemade onion dip right after dinner. I don't usually get colds, just a feeling of I'm coming down with one and a sore throat for a few days. However, this sore throat was strange. It hurt in the center of my throat, felt like a lump I needed to swallow. Almost gone today thank goodness. I think I drowned it in water and tea. Lol.

About me: 62, 5'7", hit maintenance in March 2018 and, typical yoyo, currently bouncing back up over original goal weight of 130.
Want to get back to 127-128
Crept back to JGM10D quietly in Round 60, after intentionally sitting out a number of rounds, because I need the daily accountability that worked before.
12/4 - 131.2 - over maintenance calories yesterday. Really tired plus sugary treats in the evening. Dropping goal calories to the .5 loss goal for this round, and we shall see!
12/5 - 130.4 - just at my new calorie limit that should result in .5 a week loss. 7500 steps and I do eat back as much of the fitbit calorie adjustment as I want to, that's worked for me before.
12/6 - 130.0 - just at my new gentle-loss calorie limit. 8500 steps. Poor sleep last night, can make for a weak-willed day, so I am on guard.
12/7 - 130.4 - yep I was over on calories yesterday. 7800 steps. However, did get almost 9 hours of sleep last night, much needed. Today I have a wellness check Dr appointment, something I rarely do!
12/8 -130.8 - over on calories and under on steps yesterday, only 5000. The after work snacking got me. Still, doing better so far today.

@FarmerCarla & @quiltingjaine I can’t stand asparagus or Brussels sprouts. I have tried both cooked different ways & they are just not for me. That is all they had to offer for vegetables.5 -

12/04 - 144 - I'm happy and a little surprised I didn't have a delayed bump from the weekend. Even though I only had a couple hundred extra calories each day, I've gotten so used to only eating around 1200 calories that unless it's a special event of some kind, I feel kind of guilty when I go over.
12/05 - 144 - Holding steady, which is where I like to be for now.
12/06 - 143 - It's good to see a little drop before the weekend.
12/07 - 143.5 - Not enough water yesterday.
12/08 - 143.5 - I just had a wonderful evening with my daughter. We went to see Christmas lights at a local historic mansion then went out to eat. I ate just under maintenance, but the quality of the calories were not that great. I'm sure my weight will be up tomorrow, but it was worth it.

12/4—216.2—That's 3.8 pounds since yesterday. The amount of water I was retaining with TOM was pretty impressive! Still not feeling great, but improving.
12/5—216.8—A bump up but this was an early weigh in. Not a real gain. I'm in week 3 of my pushups challenge and I can really see my improvement. I'm getting stronger every day!
12/6—217.8—Huh.
12/7—217—I'm all over the place! That's so TOM!
12/8—214.2—I like that better. This is a new low. I'm closing in on 40 pounds lost.15 -
