I don't mean to sound harsh but what ever happenned to picking up the phone and talking to eachother instead of texting? I'm sorry this is happening to you but sometimes personal problems like that require personal solutions. Not public attention.6 -

I dunno. Maybe the same thing that happened to sending Telegrams or writing letters? And maybe whatever works best for you, regarding personal problems, isn't what works best for everyone. How about not drawing public attention to yourself while also not putting down someone else for asking for help? I'm sorry you have to deal with a stranger's issues, but you know you don't have to, right?
OP, you're gorgeous, and this guy is a clown. If there's nothing irreplaceable at his place, just block his number and cease any/all contact with him. For real. He's gas-lighting you and making you doubt your friendships. No one needs that *kitten*.

I understand what you're saying. That's my opinion and you have yours. I just don't see how posting pics of text messages and hearing one side of a story is going to make things any better. Like I said... I'm very sorry she's going through that. The guy is obviously a coward by what she said about it.
I just don't think drama is a way to fix it. If you enjoy that.. good for you7 -

Again, as someone who was accused of this, I don't understand why it has to be that someone is looking for drama by posting what they're going through. Sometimes you just need to vent. Sometimes you want advice (and, yes, sometimes the best advice comes from people you don't know and who don't know you because there aren't any biases).
And, with the way this guy is acting, do you REALLY want her to talk voice to him? She shouldn't even be texting him. She should be looking into a restraining order just in case (not really sure how that works).6 -

We hardly speak on the phone. Either text or face to face4 -

I agree with you. I've had some great advice from friends here myself. I guess I've always been the type of person who likes to hear both sides of stories before I can give a opinion. I did not mean what I said in a bad way regardless of how some people may see it and how people seem to get offended for nothing.
I do have a heart and nobody deserves to go through heartbreak like that.

Even if it hurts, you're better off without him. One day you'll meet someone who appreciates you and this guy will just be a life lesson.10 -

Yes, we all have a soulmate. I think mine is out there somewhere probably banging someone else.13 -

^^^ a thousand times this. @ButterIsGood glad you're feeling the relief already. Stay safe and take good care of yourself, and reject any attempts to drag you back into that insanity.3 -

Man that sucks, hope you are alright. Everyone already gave good advice. I'll add whether we like it or not our past shapes us to who we are today. The good, the bad, the mediocre, the one night stands, the drunken rallies, friends passing, everything that happens including this. Take it as a lesson, I can't tell you what lesson is to be learned from this but something I'm sure of it. Probably not today or tomorrow but like others have said one day you'll meet some other guy in the future who appreciates you for who you are, maybe that's what it is. You know your worth, don't let anyone tell you differently.7

So I went out tonight to celebrate the end of this relationship at the cheesecake factory. My cheesecake was a little petty. But idc. I decided to not get my stuff from his place
because I don't want to see him ever again.19 -
