Rebecca-Congradulations. Welcome to the wonderful world of Grandma's. She is beautiful and the name matchs her.
Michele--Congradulations on the new grandson. I pray you get lots of cuddle time while there. I bet Denise is happy to have you there.
Happy Mother's day!! My DH and the 2 great grandson's that we take to Sunday school came and had lunch with me after church and bought me flowers. Made my day. It's the little things that mean so much. This is my last weekend working for the forseeable future. They cut our hours and so I will be working 7-3:30 Monday - Friday. I am happy about that part after 32 years. Being supervisor helps.

Thanks ladies! I remember back to having each of my son's today. Taking a photo, and then when the roll was filled, going to get it developed. My dear mom must've been so worried, not being able to see a photo for a bit. No emails, no messenger chat. No instant pictures. Yesterday, was my Mother's day gift. Athena Rose 🌹! I can relax now. Relax with everything in my life. Though this month is slim, I know we shall be just fine.👍

I've been logging in every day but just can't seem to keep up with all the chats. I did loose 6 lbs in the last two weeks. Finally think I have a handle on late night (sneaky snackin). Happy Mother's Day to you all. I'm a bit blue missing my daughters, they are both so far away. The picture of my Mom was taken in 1936 at16 years old. She married my Dad a few months after this picture was taken.
Love you my friends

When I came home from teaching my line dance class on Friday, the internet was down. I didn't think much of it until I found out that we still had cable TV service. I called our cable provider and tried the easy things they suggested but none of them worked so they said they could send a tech to check it out. I was ecstatic when they said the tech would come between 8 and 10 AM Sunday. How great that they have service on weekends. I don't get MFP on my phone but I could check my email and do other internet related activities so I wasn't totally without connection. This morning I got up extra early so I could take the dogs on their usual walk and be home by 8. The cable company texted me at 7:30 to tell me the tech was on his way and when I got home at 8, he was at the door. It turns out that both our modem and router needed to be replaced. He set up a better wireless connection with the new combination modem/router and stayed until he was sure that both computers, both phones, and the Smart TV were successfully connected to the WiFi.
Now I've finished reading the more than 100 posts since I last read. Also, even though I couldn't log on Saturday, MFP continued my streak of log in days.
Congrats to the new grandma's. I hope these babies bring you they great joy you've anticipated.
While I was walking Sasha this morning, I got a Mother's Day phone call from my step-son who lives in California. I also got sweet cards from the pets and Jake. Later Jake fixed a great lunch and cleaned up the kitchen afterward. Life doesn't get any better than this.

Rori, I stayed in my boot for six weeks, the first three non-weight bearing, I had a knee scooter which was very helpful. After the six weeks, I had to wear a soft lace up ankle brace for another six weeks. I didn’t have to wear it all the time, but just when I was walking, working out, or in crowds.
Rebecca, beautiful baby.
Michele, congrats on the new grandson.
Ketone Karen, thanks for the CBT oil lesson. I learned a lot.

📙Accountability post for Saturday, May 11th
✔1. Carbs 50g max with no more than 25g per meal. (13g)
✖️2. Fiber 25g. (3g)
✔️3. Track in MFP. Complete the entry daily.
✔4. Exercise - log 30 Fitbit minutes (50 Active minutes).
✔5. No eating after 9pm.
✖️6. In bed by midnight.
• Overall Feeling. Energetic.
• Exercise. No intentional exercise. I got 5338 steps and 50 active minutes - while cleaning house. And... I was working hard today. Sweating. I hope i pulled some fluid off myself. I was a bit swollen Friday night.
• Eating deadline. I ate supper - grilled pork chop and Brussels sprouts. It was delicious. Then immediately got sick. So nothing but water the rest of the night.
• Bedtime-Sleep Hygiene. Nope. It hasn't been a priority lately. I'll focus on it later.
• Bright Spot today. Cleaning today - I rediscovered a photo frame with a photo of our 2 beautiful grandkids. The photo wax taken about 13 years ago. Grandson is graduating from HS this year. The photo is one I see every day. But I really enjoyed the frame. I bought it in Georgia while visiting our daughter when she lived there. The frame has a metal butterfly attached and a dragonfly attached with a spring. It's another one of my little treasures. Just a 4x6 wooden photo frame - but I was immediately drawn to it in the store and I was delighted by it today - as I cleaned it. I've been wiping it off and putting it back in the shelf without really seeing it. Today... I took time to appreciate it. I like dragonflies.
• Today I’m grateful for:
1. The rain today finally exited. Sunday is supposed to be a nice day for Mother's Day.
2. My great night of sleep last night. Woke up feeling well rested.
3. My energy level today.
4. DH always helping me put fresh linens on our beds.
5. Babybel mozzarella cheese rounds. The perfect size for a quick snack.

Had a pleasant Mother's Day. Got to FaceTime with son and grandkids in Arizona. Step-son and his wife and the three boys surprised me by dropping by for an hour or so-had a nice visit (they were fitting in me, her mom and his grandmother) so I was very happy they found time. Youngest son (who I was with last weekend) face timed for a while to--so all my kids accounted for! All the visits through me off my regular schedule (I have become a creature of habit!), but I still found a way to exercise, made a rump roast for dinners this week (frequently just make one main meal and reheat, but it works for me). Met my step goal, ate a few more snacks than usual, but tracked everything and am under calorie count (just barely, but under my net)
So good to hear about new grandchildren on here--they are such a blessing.

SueBDew - have you tried any essential oils? I have a pretty good many DoTerra Oils, which are pretty expensive; but, I've been told that it is OK to use them in my diffuser. I suggest NOT getting the oregano - it will run you out of the house it is so strong. You can join in DoTerra Oils and they will send you a list of their oils and what they should be used for. Some can be mixed into whatever you drink, some can't; used in a diffuser only. rubbed on whatever is hurting you. I have some that I can only rub on by another company. Peppermint, lemon. and orange is our favorites. Louis likes the Blue Zen which helps with sleep. It will show on the side if they can be mixed with something and drank or if they can be directly on your skin (using something like coconut to spread it and not smell like coconut and goes a lot further. I usually use my diffuser when Louis is about to come home or within an hour of his coming home. Some are good for migraines.
I'm still hoping that Louis will meet me at the Neurologist; because I want him to hear all sides of why or why not I should drive or not. Part of me feels confining; but, at the same time, I understand why my entire family does not want me to drive anymore. I have a lot of things to entertain me like - painting, drawing, reading, watching TV. and if I have an early morning appointment; he can either take me to the library or mall where I can walk around and get some exercise (that being my dear Taylor Cutie's idea/suggestion.
I'm better, MD said that if I can't find something to do, get a pair of 2 lbs and use them.
Well 15 minutes past my bedtime, so nighty, so night

First Happy Mother’s Day to the Mom’s of humans and pets!!!
Lisa – I never thought about overtime and the military…. So many things we don’t know about jobs/careers that have not touched us directly
Beth – I missed your post somehow, but I’m short 5’1 ½” and have found a maxi skirt in a print and a solid top doesn’t make me look any shorter (LOL) and gets complements… When it is for summer I do love it as I have a hard time finding summer shoes that give me support and that I think are cute.
Rebecca and Rori – quick healing to both!
Dana – great to “see” you again
Ginger – a family that large is amazing to me… every relative I know of is just 13 people and some of those I have not heard from in years!
Kelly – can I spend my birthday with you?
Rebecca – Congrats !!! Athena Rose is super cute
Michele – congratulations!
Evelyn – congratulations!

Well, theoretically this should work! The top photo is our oldest son with his two precious children, Nicholas is almost three and Rosie is only hours old.
The bottom photo is Rosie even less hours old! She had to spend a few hours in NICU as they were worried about her lungs, her oxygen levels weren't where they preferred them to be and they wanted to make sure she could breathe properly on her own. Thankfully, she is just fine and so sweet!
I invited our son and grandson over for dinner tonight, had a nice visit with them. Our son was talking about having to go back up to the hospital as he forgot to leave the diapers he had brought to for Rosie. He was kind of stressing out a bit about Nicholas needing a bath and it was getting late, so I suggested he leave Nicholas with us, I could give him a bath and then he could pick him up when he was done at the hospital. At first he declined and then, with hubby's help, he saw the sense in it. I had left the room for a minute and hubby basically told him not to be an idiot, let me help. It was really nice, we've never really had him to ourselves before so this was a real treat! Now that they know we won't let him die, maybe we'll get him once in awhile....
Well, that's pretty much it from me! Oh except for one thing: Kelly, I'd like to spend my birthday with you too please! I'm willing to bet Trentin had a great day!
Hugs for those needing them, congrats to those celebrating, wonderful to hear from those who have been MIA for a bit and welcome to the newbies!

hi
Evelyn nice pictures. nice that you are getting alone time with the kids. precious.
I started mfp in 2013 at 55.8 k and went down to 52 in a few months and stayed their for a few months and then tended to hover between52 and 55 for a few years. These past years it's been creeping up. Above 56 is not my comfort zone (clothes are tighter, etc, even many pairs of shoes are not comfortable with the gain!. I was around 60k when joining this thread, my highest weight in 3+ decades. (I had a moment in my early 20s when I gained, but lost it after a few months). Now it's at 58.6 after weeks of tracking and so on. I'm relieved that it's working a bit, but not exactly at thrilled point yet. I haven't tracked the past 2 days. I have somewhat of a pattern of slacking off tracking when I start to lose, thinking I'll go back to the long period (most of my 30S and 40s) when I didn't gain much and had sort of a natural balance, in terms of weight. I know that is a risk.
I don't feel like going to the gym today (as I usually don't) but I will go for a very short WO. It usually helps the morale and mine is not at it's highest point. once I'm there it's fine.
hope you guys are doing ok.

Belated Happy Mother's Day, my dear friends!
I worked/we were slammed/why-oh-why wasn't everyone in church and/or restaurants?
Rushed home after work to take care of the doggies, then back out the door to my son's house.
Lovely 2 hours with the other Grandma, my ex-husband, my daughter-in-law's sister & family, and my grandchildren.
Lovely low-carb meal of chicken breast, roasted cauliflower & turnips. Monochromatic.
Then off to the airport to pick up my partner from her Florida vacation.
'Fessed up about being rear-ended in the Subaru.
She handled it like a champ.
Home to doggies out of their mind happy to see their other mother. Molly nearly shrieking with joy!
Now home and unwinding from the day. Doggies and partner are asleep.
Morning will be here too soon.
