Didn't do kettlebell. Fell asleep like a stone. I guess I needed it.
Eaten into my maintenance calories tonight.
DH talked over the fence to the couple next door, who have hardly been in their house since we moved in. They have been temporarily living with her mother to care for her. They now feel they have to get something sorted as their own house and garden is getting neglected. Reminds me of some of you lovely women. They are getting more care organised, but it's hard.
They did say how much they love it here. Don’t we all!
DH cut some brambles out of the garden while I was asleep. I had to point them out to him as I don't think he knows what is a weed! I wanted them out of the way before DSIL arrives next weekend. Her garden is immaculate. Ours is lovely, but on the WILD side. We have made a little space for a couple of pink geraniums I will buy that we will be able to see from the dining room. I even followed him out there when I woke up and ripped out some ivy and grass clogging up the beds. A very rare thing! I feel guilty when I read of all the outside work you are all doing. Not my thing at all, but I had a go today. Usually I just point at what needs to be done. I like sowing and planting, the fun bits, but maintenance is not my thing. DH hasn't a clue, but is willing enough.
Much love, Heather UK xxxxxxx5 -
Well was Post Menopause had kept the weight off yay me moment.
Then my elderly mother passed, found out I was pregnant during the loss wasn’t on bed rest so miscarriage, then 3months later bam pregnant with my Son! Doctors saw my uterus said you weren’t lying you were post menopause! Hard part was when they asked my last period to calculate the pregnancy...ummmm well I don’t remember think it was light think it was snowy or was it foggy day...hmmm what year is this? So they made one up lol.Said it happens Rare but happens. Lol so here I am with a short tiny Naval Daughter 20’s and a 2yr old son who’s tall as can be. Was on bedrest on my left side only for 1year,hypertension, diabetes ,placental abruption, tubal tie, multiple after surgeries, etc wheee went my weight .195 after baby I have lost only 20lbs in 2yrs so trying apps. So here I am friends/family talking about grandkids the only ones who have a kid still in my family are 19yrs old! So forget about a relaxing conversation with them lol. Doctors say everything I did with the 1st is wrong now! Swear old age sucks.
Loosing the weight so I can regain mobility got 2 more months of healing from the Csection y repair surgeries. 4 hip to hip plus 1 up y down cut to pull out 1kid they left a roll of skin the size of the old Sunday newspaper so like many this bellies permanently here lol. I’m in Perimenopause now so restart button.
Try being old having to get on the floor daily to change a diaper...Help Lifealert!!! I’ve gotten down can’t get back up to chase a 2yr old streaking in front of the windows!7 -
Lanette: We didn’t get our flag out and hang it for Memorial Day. Life was full of houseguests and I forgot. We didn’t get out to the cemetery and leave flowers for my parents, either.Thank you again for the tip on CBD oil. It is working wonders for our dog. :bigsmile;
Karen in VA: I love the Walt Whitman quotation, “Resist much, obey little.” He was an extraordinary person. :flowerforyou:
Suesh111: Welcome to a great group.
Heather: You and your DH seem to have divided up tasks so that things suit each of you. Brilliant!
JRsLate in Life: It sounds like you have your hands full. Good luck!!!
We’re about to head out for a little walk, and the dog will be coming along. :bigsmile:

Happy June 1st, Ladies!
I had a post here but moved it to June.0 -
So my 5 year old granddaughter asks me what is hanging off your arm. I have to tell her it’s just my skin. I have had big arms forever- even when younger and thinner, but losing 45 pounds has made them worse. It is what it is. My belly is much smaller and the grandkids don’t ask if there’s a baby in there, so I’m ahead of the game. I can at least take walks with them now and take them fishing. 5 more pounds and I’m done losing!1

Janet: Thanks for the information on the I deserve a Donuut and the other books Barb R. has written. They have been very helpful and just what I've been looking for. I have been in a very bad slump and having a hard time with things. But the I Deserve a Donut app has really helped. I ordered her books you suggested to. Thanks for the info.
