I have found similar info for California, but even several of my family members fall into those categories when we call no one has any info (we've called our docs and checked our county health websites)2 -
My mom got her first dose. She’s in rural TN. It was drive-by and took less than an hour in line. You had to have an appointment and then show proof of being over 75.
The only way she knew who to call was that a friend told her the night before that she heard about the number to call. I have looked at their county health department and can’t see any evidence of how to get the shot, and they told her they weren’t advertising it.7 -

Thanks so much! This means that my sister should get it soon. Although she is concerned and wants to wait for more data and is fine being somewhat of a hermit. I hope she DOES get it soon.

In Oklahoma, county health departments are doing vaccinations. The news has been listing ways to contact them all. Oklahoma county started making appointments today.2

Idjits who think Soros's and Bill Gates's microchips are in that vax? (Dem passive-aggressive, non-posting, non-honest, non-interacting foolz?) Potlikkers! Do you actually care?
Wishing your mother immediate immunity, and a long, happy future loving you, and all in her circle. You, too, when your get-the-vax number comes up.20 -

Someone with nothing better to do or don't know better I think. Oh yes the anti-vaxers maybe? Wonderful she got her shot. Hopefully she gets to have the next one when due.
Still no Covid here which I can't believe.5 -
Oklahoma county had nearly 200,000 apply for, over 111,000 approved for the vaccine today. Only 1200 doses available. All done early and it ran fairly smoothly, according to the local news. Now just waiting for more vaccine.3

Also, because of the position of the disagree button, it's easy to inadvertently click it while scrolling through the page. Unless it's multiple disagrees, I assume it's accidental.13 -

I haven't heard anything here in Dyer County. Why would they not advertise?!1 -

Biden plans to release all available covid vaccines, getting as many people vaccinated as quickly as possible. Hopes for 1,000,000 vaccinations per day very soon 👍🏻14

I think this is likely the answer, or perhaps rheddmobile has picked up a couple of "fans." The only thing I can think of as a "reason" to disagree is a deeply held belief that nobody over 75 should be driving? I've been hoping for driverless cars before I get to the point I can't drive safely anymore, but I don't think some arbitrary age should be the cut-off. Plenty of bad drivers of all ages.3 -
I live for disagrees
All kind of information out making it seem as if AZ is the worst place on the planet, and it might be. I dunno know. I'm just glad I'm a semi hermit. We are going to San Diego next week to see my son (and celebrate our 30th Anniversary). That's the son that already had Covid, so at least I believe we're good seeing him. We are renting an AirBnB and pretty much going to behave just like we do here -- eat at home, buy groceries and order take out and that's about it. The only difference being that we'll be two blocks from Seal Beach in La Jolla while doing it. I'm thinking for extra good measure, I'll take a can or two of Lysol just to spray in the place when we get there and then open up the windows and let it air out. Oh, and we'll drive. It's only around 6 hours from here to there. I actually quite enjoy the drive through the sand dunes to the mountains and then down to the ocean.
California is likely safer than AZ right now with most everything being shut down.6 -

Please drive very carefully. The last thing you want is to need a hospital in California now. And happy Anniversary!11 -

Well, anyone who disagrees is welcome to find any vaccine info on their website and let me know where it is.
https://fayettetn.us/departments/health-department/services/
I was briefly confused since I visited the site and said, “Hey, there’s the information about the vaccine right there on the front page!” Then I realized I had mistakenly gone to the website for Fayette county OHIO, which has a number to call, information about the vaccine schedule, and all the stuff you would expect. The website for Fayette county TENNESSEE still has nothing.5 -
Disagrees are weird - especially since they are anonymous.
I believe I have a disagree fan as many 'bland nothing' posts I post get one disagree- recent example; re remembering to take your lunch to work I posted try putting your car keys on top of your lunch box so you cant go without it
Not sure what there is in that to disagree with.
Maybe they disagree with plastic lunch boxes or driving to work???
My advice: unless there are a lot of disagrees - just ignore them.10 -

I read today that California is asking all out of state people to stay away and for in-state residents to limit driving to 120 miles. They may well close everything down again.9 -

I've been looking on my state's website and can't find any info on where to get a vaccine. (I did this as an intellectual exercise - we're in Phase one of the rollout and no one I know can get one til Phase 2.)
As of this writing, vaccinefinder.org does not have the COVID vaccine as a category.

Public vaccine clinics including COVID-19 vaccine when available can be found at CDC’s interactive website: vaccinefinder.org. Once vaccine is widely available you can also check with your primary care provider, local pharmacy or local health department. Information will also be available on the DPH website.3 -

Mike do you know that the governor asks people from other states or countries NOT to come to California?
I don't know how things are in Arizona, but California is not safe right now, unlesds not COVID safe. Our hospitals and ICUs capacity are maxed out.
Coronavirus: Due to the coronavirus pandemic, California has imposed a regional stay-at-home order and banned non-essential travel throughout the state except in a region north of Sonoma County. Governor Gavin Newsom said he was “pulling the emergency brake” with this announcement, which restricts hotel stays for leisure travel and other business activity in affected areas. You can find more details here.
"California public health officials have recommended that visitors from out of state, including California residents, quarantine for 14 days after entering or returning to California."

Ah, the federal response.
We're starting phase 1B here locally (my county), which for us (Michigan) includes members of the general public of older ages, or some comorbid conditions. I know of some who've gotten appointments, and gotten the first shot, but it's not at all widespread, rather just barey getting started. Clearly, that availability information is not yet on the federal CDC site, despite what they claim. (It is on the State of Michigan's site, which I believe I posed up-thread.)

We are already closed down5 -
My sister's SO (who works in health care) got the first shot already, should get the second soon. We are supposedly going to 1B soon, which means people over 65 get it in IL (other than Chicago) and people over 75 in Chicago. This is good but for me personally it will be some time yet.
I want the shot, hope at least people rejecting it means more of us who want it get it sooner, at least, but am happy to wait to whenever my age group is.5 -
Older sister in Washington state, texted me today that she has received second shot, her husband gets his second later this week. Both are doctors.12

Just some suggestions for folks looking for the vaccine in the US. Unfortunately every state is going to be different, because nothing can be easy. Check your local health dept website, call your primary care physician, check the website for your local hospital systems, call your local CVS or Walgreens pharmacies. If you aren't over 65 or a frontline workers, I wouldn't bother checking yet though, I think we're gonna have to wait awhile.
It sounds like most states are either in 1a (healthcare workers) or starting on 1b. Again, exactly who falls in each category is up to your state, but 1b is typically over 75 and some definition of essential workers. I think there are CDC recommendations, but it's ultimately decided by the state.
My local health dept is posting plans on their website as they make them. They got their vaccine shipment a little late, so are still in 1a. They have raised a tent vaccination center in the parking lot of an abandoned Kmart for when they move into 1b. They said they will post instructions before 1b starts, we'll see how it goes.6 -
kimny72 is correct. Each state is determining how it is distributed.
Nothing has changed here (Minnesota) re: vaccinating people, since vaccinating began in December. Currently vaccinating people who work in health care settings and people who live, or work in long term care facilities.
We have been in a similar situation like the lock down last spring, since mid November. Some restrictions are going to be loosened a bit, starting Monday, because we have been showing steady improvement over this time.
Best case scenario, it will take time. There are a lot of people in the world to be vaccinated, and a limited supply. We will have to keep following the precautions we now know so well:
Wear face coverings
Social distancing
Hand washing
Hang in there everyone. There’s light at the end of this very long tunnel. There is hope on the horizon. Better times are coming.11 -

I'd love not to go but I'm not losing 2K either. AirBNB isn't forcing home owners to refund money. They are keeping it all if you don't show. Personally, I didn't want to go. I knew it would be a bad idea. The wife's idea.
There isn't any hospital space in AZ either. CA, at least, has enough sense to close down all restaurants. Gyms and restaurants are still open in AZ with no room in any hospitals.6 -
