I've been working through Cat de Ram's Yoga modules. She is an amazing instructor.
But I do struggle with core work.
Does anyone have any recommendations for beginners core strengthening for older people (I'm 50, and not yet ready for what the 20 something's are capable of 😉)

@shazmorgan Jessica Smith is a perfect place to start. Whenever I fall off the "fitness wagon" I start with her videos.

I did these 2 workouts over the weekend. It's the same class. My Fitness Junky posts on Monday and Friday the same step routine. It was awesome.

I use to do step aerobics all the time and even taught a couple of classes. If I see a step on sale I'm going to buy it!

My favorite for the moment is Leslie Sansone Walk from Home Beginner one mile. It uses no equipment, the cues are excellent, it's easy to follow and you don't need a lot of space. Plus it's bad knee friendly- no twists or lunges. It's the first cardio I have done in a long time, and I made it through. So if you are looking for a place to start, try this one.

I used to love step classes with my friends in the 1990s. I haven't done it since then and I'm also going to look out for a step. It will add more variety

I did this workout last night after work. I actually did it up at the school yard with no step. It was so nice to be outside and be able to make the moves big. This is basic and very easy.

@meb2490 I've been doing so much gardening that I haven't been doing YouTube videos. I actually miss them!

I'm going to check garage sales for the Step and some risers. Step was always a great legs and booty workout.

I didn't do much youtube over the long weekend. I was very busy but I was still very active. I did this one last up at the school yard. It's so good.

Since the warm weather is here I haven't done any youtube workouts. I play lots of tennis and exercise in the park doing circuit workouts. I am considering lugging my step to the park for a workout though.

I know what you mean. I've been doing so much gardening I've been too tired to do videos. I do need some cardio. It's just so freaking hot in my house and my air conditioner is down. LOL. When it's fixed I'm going to do a video.

I used to have all of Billy Blanks workout videos (VHS - lol) -- he has a ton of tae bo workouts on YT - everything from 10min to full hour. Love Billy. Also, I like finding dance oriented workouts because if I wake up and just cannot do a workout video, the dance videos are the length of a song and I can do as many as I want :) - I like The Fitness Marshall for this one as there are different body types and he picks fun songs and choreography. Good way to start the day!
