Day 6: Sun, 6/14: 203.8 - worked a 12hr shift yesterday. Didn't eat horribly, but could've been better. I didn't workout either. Today's focus: weighing and measuring food logged, and walking during downtime at work.
Day 7: Mon, 6/15: 200.0 I lost 3lbs overnight 😮 however, I know this was because I drank a lot of water yesterday and TOM started. But, I’ll take it! I was holding on to that 203 foot over a week now.
Day 8: Tues, 6/16: 201.2 - I ran 7 miles yesterday, and I can visibly see that I have some swelling around my knees and left ankle. This is common for me after a long run, and I am certain this is what caused the slight gain. I work 2 12hour shifts in a row the next couple of days, so no working out. I am sure this number will come back down after 2 rest days.
Day 9: Wed, 6/17: 202.4 trying not to get discouraged. I didn’t log this in time because I had 0 sleep that night and I had to travel for work today. I’ll just have to keep pushing though.
Day 10: Thurs, 6/18: 201.2 heading back in the right direction. Oddly enough, yesterday sucked for nutrition, and I hadn’t worked out for 2 days. Today, one of my favorite classes is back at the Y, and I plan to be there! I have off work until Tuesday, and plan to spend the next few days with a heavy focus on nutrition and solid workouts.
Day 11: Fri, 6/19: 200.00!!!! I honestly doubted my body would get here. It likes to hold onto weight, but aside from my days at work, I’ve been working out hard! It went up after my last 200 weigh in the other day and I thought for sure I’d continue that trend. Yesterday was arm day, and I lifted for 50min before hopping on the treadmill for another 50. Usually the day after I lift or do a long run, I gain at least 1-2lbs. I’m excited to keep going!

Day 13: Sun, 6/21: 202.4 yesterday I didn’t workout, and took the man to Texas Roadhouse for an early Father’s Day supper. Damn you cinnamon sugar butter and rolls 😂
Day 14: Mon, 6/22: 201.2 spent yesterday at the lake with the man’s family. It was a horrible eating day, but we really had a nice day so trying not to be hard on myself. Woke up this morning with horrible vertigo. Like hold on to the wall kind of dizzy. Not feeling well at all.
Day 15: Tues, 6/23: Didn’t weigh, still wasn’t feeling well ☹️
Day 16: Wed, 6/24: 202.4 😒 moving in the wrong direction. I haven’t worked out since Friday- traveling for work
Day 17: Thurs, 6/25: 201.2 still not happy with where I’m at, but I’m feeling so much better. It’s going to be a double workout day today. 45 minutes of weights/45 minutes of jogging in the morning with my man. Then Zumba this evening. Hoping I can still get on track for 198
Day 18: Fri, 6/26: I could've sworn I recorded my weight for Friday, but I must've forgot to come here and log it! I was at 201.2 Still. I did get a workout in yesterday morning, but I did not end up going to Zumba. I have had pain in my left knee and need to listen to my body.
Day 19: Sat, 6/27: 200.00.... *sigh* I didn't hit the 198 I had so hoped for. It was a rough week though, starting off with eating out, then vertigo and I was horrible about logging my food. However, I did workout more, and I am getting stronger when I lift, so I am happy with that. I will continue to push for 198 next week. I am also modifying my end date. I am realizing now that my original goal was pretty steep given that I would have 14 weeks to lose 40ish pounds. I do want to lose, but I also want to go slow and steady and learn my body and its needs along the way.

Day 20: Sun, 6/28:199.00 - I'm shooting for the same goal as last week. At least this week I am starting off better than I did last week. Back in onderland….again, and down a little from that 199.8 I logged previously. I'm happy about that. I'm just frustrated with fluctuating back into the 200's. I did REALLY well yesterday. I weighed, measured, and logged all of my food today.
Day 21: Mon, 6/29: 197.8 say WHAAAA?!?! Yeah, I had to weigh myself twice because I couldn’t believe it 😂 I decided to change things up a bit and get back into intermittent fasting eating between noon and 6. Days I work and can’t get to the gym, restrict my calories between 1200-1300. After 2 days of putting this plan into action I finally see the numbers move down again!
Day 22: Tues, 6/30: 196.6 🥳 I could get used to this!!
Day 23: Wed, 7/1: 196.6 again. After weighing in these past couple weeks, I know that when I workout, I tend to gain weight. I’m glad I stayed the same. It was arm day yesterday, and I went harder than I ever have. I felt good and just wanted to keto lifting, so I cut back my cardio time. I traveled for work today, but I still did well with nutrition.
Day 24: Thurs, 7/2: 197.4 This was expected, and since I am below my goal still, I'm good with it. I traveled for work yesterday and snacked a bit more than normal. I also had an extra white claw when I got home. Don't feel even a little bad about it.

Hello! My name is Willow and I am 5'5 and currently 158.4lbs. I recently had a baby so this weight is coming off fast, but I do keep hitting plateaus in weight. Before I got pregnant I was 120, When I gave birth I was 196 I quickly dropped 40 pounds but then got around 160s and was unable to get out of it no matter how much I tried. It has started to decrease again (YAY!!!)
I am trying to get back to that. I am starting in July.
I do occasionally do water fasts to boost once I hit a plateau. I burn about 1500 calories a day and am only eating between 12pm and 8pm. With this I am adding a squat and abs daily challenge just for fun
I know my weight goals are very high very fast, if I wasn't dropping weight at such a fast rate due to postpartum I would be a lot slower.

I think in the long run that building muscle is probably a good thing, because muscle burns fat right?
This weight loss journey is so tough!
You know, I really don't know why. I've heard so many different thoughts, theories and opinions on it, that it's hard to know why exactly. Personally, I think it's probably because I retain water through torn muscle fibers. It's certainly not enough to be noticeable. For instance, I don't feel the same retaining/gaining a lb from eating salty foods vs working out. When I workout I do feel better and actually feel less bloated contradictory to what the scale says. I'm just glad I'm seeing the trend and know what to expect. Then I don't feel so bad working hard and seeing a gain.
Well that makes sense.
I work out every day, so I don't notice anything. Like you, I also feel so much better after working out, more focused for my day, stronger, old joints lubricated, mental and emotional health benefits.
When I eat something yummy (or drink wine/cocktails) however I do notice. I try to keep that to about once per week, and my favourite food (Ribs) I have had to cut down to once per month or less because I always gain 3lbs after having them, they are loaded with calories. Okay, now I want Ribs lol. They are delicious. I will wait another couple of weeks though.

Excess calories burned in June: 25,437, but this includes the entire month and we started this round on the 6th. 7.267 pounds mathematically that I should have lost for the entire month. (3500 calories equals a pound)

I stopped logging once thinking that I knew approximately what my amounts were. I gained so much weight!!!
I think that I will likely have to always log in order to slim down and stay there. The accountability of logging keeps us honest and on track.

A big part of me wanted to use my weight after working out or just give up but that is how I revert to old habits. Being honest with yourself is probably the hardest part about this journey!)

I don't expect my weight to be so high tomorrow, I will keep my calories low today. 910 calories left over
Day 5: Sat, 6/13: 153.2 - Well, it comes off much slower than it goes on as we know! In the green always even if small, but to lose I need at least 500 calories per day in the green. 104 Calories left over

Day 17: Thurs, 6/25: 150.7 - Peed like 40 times yesterday, guessing that it was trapped water? I had been working out in the hot sun every day since Monday, and yesterday it rained. Perhaps my body was holding on to the water because of the heat? 744 calories left over in the tracker.
Day 18: Fri, 6/26: 150.1 - Good. Still a slight chance at hitting the weekly goal weight, but that is 1/2 a pound which normally takes me 2 weeks to lose. We'll see tomorrow. 1531 calories left over
Day 19: Sat, 6/27: 150.0 - I am happy with this, super ready to get into the 140s - and stay there, I have touched them twice. 1676 calories left over

Day 21: Mon, 6/29: - 148.7 - New low! Maybe all of those excess calories burned are now showing up. Hoping that this is not just a fluctuation : - ) 1503 Calories left over
Day 22: Tues, 6/30: - 148.1 - Last weeks excess calorie burn must be kicking in to this slow old metabolism! 714 calories left over
Excess calories burned in June: 25,437, but this includes the entire month and we started this round on the 6th. 7.267 pounds mathematically that I should have lost for the entire month. (3500 calories equals a pound)
The number not counting the 1st to the 5th is 21,658. 6.188 pounds mathematically I should have lost in 24 days.

Day 6: Sun, 6/14: 203.8 - worked a 12hr shift yesterday. Didn't eat horribly, but could've been better. I didn't workout either. Today's focus: weighing and measuring food logged, and walking during downtime at work.
Day 7: Mon, 6/15: 200.0 I lost 3lbs overnight 😮 however, I know this was because I drank a lot of water yesterday and TOM started. But, I’ll take it! I was holding on to that 203 foot over a week now.
Day 8: Tues, 6/16: 201.2 - I ran 7 miles yesterday, and I can visibly see that I have some swelling around my knees and left ankle. This is common for me after a long run, and I am certain this is what caused the slight gain. I work 2 12hour shifts in a row the next couple of days, so no working out. I am sure this number will come back down after 2 rest days.
Day 9: Wed, 6/17: 202.4 trying not to get discouraged. I didn’t log this in time because I had 0 sleep that night and I had to travel for work today. I’ll just have to keep pushing though.
Day 10: Thurs, 6/18: 201.2 heading back in the right direction. Oddly enough, yesterday sucked for nutrition, and I hadn’t worked out for 2 days. Today, one of my favorite classes is back at the Y, and I plan to be there! I have off work until Tuesday, and plan to spend the next few days with a heavy focus on nutrition and solid workouts.
Day 11: Fri, 6/19: 200.00!!!! I honestly doubted my body would get here. It likes to hold onto weight, but aside from my days at work, I’ve been working out hard! It went up after my last 200 weigh in the other day and I thought for sure I’d continue that trend. Yesterday was arm day, and I lifted for 50min before hopping on the treadmill for another 50. Usually the day after I lift or do a long run, I gain at least 1-2lbs. I’m excited to keep going!

Day 14: Mon, 6/22: 201.2 spent yesterday at the lake with the man’s family. It was a horrible eating day, but we really had a nice day so trying not to be hard on myself. Woke up this morning with horrible vertigo. Like hold on to the wall kind of dizzy. Not feeling well at all.
Day 15: Tues, 6/23: Didn’t weigh, still wasn’t feeling well ☹️
Day 16: Wed, 6/24: 202.4 😒 moving in the wrong direction. I haven’t worked out since Friday- traveling for work
Day 17: Thurs, 6/25: 201.2 still not happy with where I’m at, but I’m feeling so much better. It’s going to be a double workout day today. 45 minutes of weights/45 minutes of jogging in the morning with my man. Then Zumba this evening. Hoping I can still get on track for 198
Day 18: Fri, 6/26: I could've sworn I recorded my weight for Friday, but I must've forgot to come here and log it! I was at 201.2 Still. I did get a workout in yesterday morning, but I did not end up going to Zumba. I have had pain in my left knee and need to listen to my body.
Day 19: Sat, 6/27: 200.00.... *sigh* I didn't hit the 198 I had so hoped for. It was a rough week though, starting off with eating out, then vertigo and I was horrible about logging my food. However, I did workout more, and I am getting stronger when I lift, so I am happy with that. I will continue to push for 198 next week. I am also modifying my end date. I am realizing now that my original goal was pretty steep given that I would have 14 weeks to lose 40ish pounds. I do want to lose, but I also want to go slow and steady and learn my body and its needs along the way.

Day 20: Sun, 6/28:199.00 - I'm shooting for the same goal as last week. At least this week I am starting off better than I did last week. Back in onderland….again, and down a little from that 199.8 I logged previously. I'm happy about that. I'm just frustrated with fluctuating back into the 200's. I did REALLY well yesterday. I weighed, measured, and logged all of my food today.
Day 21: Mon, 6/29: 197.8 say WHAAAA?!?! Yeah, I had to weigh myself twice because I couldn’t believe it 😂 I decided to change things up a bit and get back into intermittent fasting eating between noon and 6. Days I work and can’t get to the gym, restrict my calories between 1200-1300. After 2 days of putting this plan into action I finally see the numbers move down again!
Day 22: Tues, 6/30: 196.6 🥳 I could get used to this!!
Day 23: Wed, 7/1: 196.6 again. After weighing in these past couple weeks, I know that when I workout, I tend to gain weight. I’m glad I stayed the same. It was arm day yesterday, and I went harder than I ever have. I felt good and just wanted to keto lifting, so I cut back my cardio time. I traveled for work today, but I still did well with nutrition.
Day 24: Thurs, 7/2: 197.4 This was expected, and since I am below my goal still, I'm good with it. I traveled for work yesterday and snacked a bit more than normal. I also had an extra white claw when I got home. Don't feel even a little bad about it.

Day 27: Sun, 7/05: 175.4 ( No excuses, just poor choices and avoiding thinking about them. Working hard to get back on track. I joined this challenge to keep me accountable and honest. A big part of me wanted to use my weight after working out or just give up but that is how I revert to old habits. Being honest with yourself is probably the hardest part about this journey!)
Day 28: Mon, 7/06: 174.2 (I am starting 6 weeks of intense courses and know that the lack of sleep and increase in stress will be something I have to fight against. I plan on sticking to morning workouts and taking it day by day.)
