Machka: Happy New Years! It will be New Years for us in a while.
Betsy in NW WA: I miss my yoga class like crazy. I long for the vaccinations for everyone, the health club to be open, and I am able to attend my yoga class again.
I haven't been to the health club because it was closed on the governor's order. I haven’t been to the stable, either. DH has not wanted me to be away from home. I’m ready for that to ease, too.

KJLaMore-that is a really cool picture.
Lisa-thanks for the recipe. I enjoy Mexican and can probably come close to calorie count.
Just popping in to wish all a Happy New Year. I know some have seen it come and go and some will be a few hours behind me. Seriously doubt I will be awake at midnight, but 2021 will start fine without me.
See in the new thread for new month and new year.
Take care all,
Ginny in Ohio

Lisa - Any surprise “guests” will appreciate your security system too.
Machka - I think it’s terrible that your husband isn’t allowed to travel. If he was working he would be entitled to a vacation he should have the same leniency from WCB.
1200 is a lot, congratulations!
You can’t wear scents here in most places either. I can’t say that it upsets me, I used to waitress and there was a lady that came to the restaurant at least once a week. She sold Avon and I swear wore all the things at once, perfume, soap, moisturizer all the same scent. We used to dread smelling her arrive because we had to get so close and try not to sneeze while serving her.
Allie - that sounds so constricted, I’m sure it’s very uncomfortable.
Katie - hope your finger heals quickly.
Katla - the safety bars should make you feel a little more relaxed when he takes a shower now.
Sue - I hope you brother and sister-in-law have mild or no symptoms.
Barbara - that’s fortunate to have caught that leak early!
Lisa - I have had trouble with scents giving me a headache for the last few years so I understand your hesitation I’m trying new scents. We found my favourite all time scent at Walmart in one of their Christmas gift boxes last year and hubby was kind enough to buy some for me.
Janet and Karen - that’s a trail ride I could get behind.
Heather - I hope your meal delivery was what you were hoping for. I use that service way too often!
Julie - isn’t it funny how women had to prepare meals in only the way the man would want. My MIL who would tell you where to go and how to get there, with a cuff upside the head if warranted, will not cook some things in her house because my FIL won’t “allow” it. He won’t eat pizza or any type of pasta. She loves it and goes out for it quite often without him. I remember my mother and grandmother also deciding on what to eat based on the men’s preferences.
I am a very fussy eater and Rodger will eat most anything. I know there are things he’ll eat that I won’t so I try to accommodate him, but I will also tell him to fend for himself sometimes.
Ginny - you and my husband are of the same mindset when it comes to electricity.
Janet - that’s a nice break not an expensive bill!
Kelly - Beautiful photography
Allie - sorry your daughter didn’t get the result she wanted. I have friends that suffered through the pain that causes.
Lisa - that sounds like a nice meal for a cold night.
I don’t as able to leave work early today, I had to go get some groceries and while I was there I ended up getting a very large group text for the Leadership team. None of our residents tested positive in their swabs taken yesterday!! This is in addition to no positives in staff swabs this week although we aren’t sure all staff have received their results or not. We are not out of the woods, but this is a HUGE step in the right direction. I held it together until I paid and got out to the car, but then broke down crying. Such a huge relief.
Happy New Year to everyone.

Oh, Viv! How fun that we’re going to be in the Take Your House Back class together, I am a Bee with A lot of Cricket tendencies. I don’t need to see everything- but I do like my most commonly used items easily accessible. I am not a minimalist, but I also don’t like a lot of clutter. I’m looking forward to the psychological aspects of learning to live with less to help me up my game with clothes and kitchen gadgets.
I tend to do better with my diet and exercise when I also attend to my house. Here’s to getting my act together in 2021!
@Luannelizabeth we do discuss fitness related topics from time to time, but we can go down some rabbit holes along the way. Feel free to jump in with your comments and questions. I like the idea if starting the January thread with some introductions

DB and DSIL have been diagnosed with Covid. Step grandchildren went to visit their dad and came home positive but asymptomatic. Their mom is also sick now. DB has congestive heart failure so at additional risk. These kids have been in their bubble since the beginning of this. So far everyone is quarantined at home
Everyone take care Sue in WA
