No new lifts from me for a couple more days. Somehow dislocated a rib/cartilage in sternum and have been asked to take it easy.
So I’m throwing it back to my first pr attempt at what looks like 225... Crazy how progressive overload works over time. 2 more days and I can get back in to gym and push some weight again.10 -

Isn't it crazy how that happens? Here we are... Lifting heavy, killing it... And then BOOM the simplest of actions knocks down. The last time I hurt my shoulder... It was reaching across my body and trying to pull a blanket across me that my cat was sleeping on! LIKE, C'MON, REALLY?4 -

Ugh that sucks! Muscle memory is a beautiful thing though! Start slow going back and hopefully you’ll be PR’ing again soon!!!!1 -

I’ve switched from a volume routine to a strength routine but the lifts are basically the same. I’m enjoying the heavier lifts though.1 -

Yeah. The adjustment was right side lower rib close to the sternum. The more I think about it maybe I did it when I was doing pendlay rows. Might have pulled something lighter and bounced it off chest and didn’t notice and it took a couple days of movement that made it worse/noticeable.
I’m not a huge fan of chiropractors as I haven’t had great luck with some of them but my wife swears by this one and I’ve seen them a couple of times. I’m not full blown believer but whatever she did helped significantly.2 -

I had started a response and I get got distracted before I saved.
LOL yes we have height related issues but on opposite ends for sure. For example... I can't do standing ohp in my house because none of my ceilings are high enough. Haha.
I also cannot find anything tall enough to allow me to do a full hang chinup. I hung a bar outside and even that is too low. (plus I will NOT go out when it's cooler than sweater weather lol)
