I did 46 mins of yoga, 8 mins of elliptical, and 6 mins of marching. Yay! I even made it despite the disruption this morning! Yay!

Yesterday was rainy and windy so I rowed inside and walked on the treadmill.
Today is much nicer and this is one of the reasons I love working from home.

Old photo, but a few hummers are still flitting about, so neat to watch them!
Hugs for those needing them, congrats to those celebrating and welcome to the newbies!

Last night I was convinced I had covid, so did a test first thing this morning. Nope.
Just a coughy cold. Feel like c..p. TIRED.
I was feeling horribly guilty because my DSIL, who was here at the weekend, is having her ankle op next Monday. Obviously can't if she catches covid. Luckily I'm negative.
It does mean that DH will be picking up Bea on his own, as the combination of ankle and rotten cold is too much for a very long march to the school and then to their home. He wants to do it as the kids give him such a boost, but I made him promise to get a taxi home if he starts feeling sick, or tired. He's bound to catch it, I guess. Probably caught it off them.
I will do as much as I can of the exercises this morning. I usually feel worse in the afternoon and evening. No temperature, but I feel as if I have.
Oh well, could be worse.

Last night’s late snacks took a toll on the scale this morning. Today, didn’t get to either minutes or taxes but laundry, vacuuming and changed linens. Skimmin’ so I can get to bed without putting anything else into my mouth

Evelyn,
We have Annas hummingbirds all year. They live in a blackberry bramble at the edge of the river, and visit sugar water feeders that are attached to our windows all year around. We love watching them. ❤️
At first we hung a feeder attached under an upper deck but that would swing in the wind and spill sugar water all over. We found feeders that attach directly to first floor windows with suction cups. The feeders don’t spill in the wind now and we enjoy watching the birds at our windows.😊3 -
Good morning, afternoon and evening all,
Will be leaving in an hour to go into town to get fasting labs done and dusted. Yesterday's X-ray of my lungs showed up completely clear, so part 1 of my work up for Humira is done. The labs today are part 2. Then it's a matter of the results.
The lung x-ray is a relief. Partially because it means I don't have lung cancer. I found out yesterday that my brother, who is 67, has lung cancer which has now spread to his brain. He let the medical folks work him over for the lung cancer, but now that it's shown up in his brain, he told them he wouldn't take any more treatments.
I am sad, but more like the sadness you feel when a stranger has a fatal disease. About 15 years ago now, I realized I no longer had to keep begging people to love me. If someone loves me and I love them, I will move heaven and earth to see them, call them, be part of their lives. If I'm the only one who loves at that level, the relationship is unsustainable. At some point, when love is not returned you have to walk away.
Well, I do anyway. It removed an enormous weight from my heart. In all honesty, I am tremendously closer to this group than I am to any of my family. My sister and I enjoy each other's company, and that's pretty much it. Since the pandemic began, we talk on the phone maybe once a month, but there's a balance there that we are both comfortable with.
Sorry - I know that was depressing.
Got to head out.
Love y'all,

I’m starting the day on the lazy side today. Right now I’m lingering in bed, something I haven’t done in a long time. 😊4

Woke up to snow on the island today! Just a dusting though. Its still snowing so it will be interesting to see how much we'll get. Odd this late in February. Of course I'm making soup! Is it wrong to have soup at 9 am? Lol!
Its my mixture of sausage, onion, tomatoes, mushrooms, potatoes, shrimp and chicken broth w/ milk and sour cream mixed in. Comfort food! I made enough for a meal of it tomorrow.

We got an estimate for a chairlift for my mom today. So the conversation has been about when and how to deal with my parents getting older and less able. So dreary. And of course there's only speculation on what would happen, so there's plenty of room for wishful thinking. I hate to be the voice of reality, and so far it's not making much of a dent.
Anyway, we are fine for now. I have to balance a little planning against too much worrying.

Hope you were able to get back to sleep.
I was feeling tired before zumba class yesterday evening so drank one of the natural energy drinks- did help some in class but not as much as I had hoped BUT did seem to bother my sleep last night-kept waking up every 15-30 min or so most of the night. Won't be having those drinks that late in the afternoon.1 -
It looks like a bright sunshiny morning. 🌞. I plan to enjoy it.3

Stayed home while DH went off to pick up Bea. Watched too much Shtisel (very addictive) and binge ate. I will have the duck leg for dinner when DH gets home, with broccoli, and that's it for the day. Haven't had one of those binges in a long, long time.
Tomorrow is another day.
