Well Miles has found that falling asleep in the swing is a good thing.. instead of one of us holding him..
I also put his carseat in my car so his chariot awaits..
This is only the 2nd time that Tracy is leaving him with me ,she just doesnt want to lug him into the city and to her drs appointment..
I understand..

I'm feeling that strange ennui that I always get before something big happens. I've been like this for ever, so at least I know what it is. It used to scare me and I couldn't understand what was happening.
Tired, almost depressed. I know my mood will lift as the cruise gets nearer, but I'm in the 'down' period right now.
I have read of other people it happens to, so I know I'm not alone.
Anyone else like this? It's usually before good or exciting things.

Had a migraine this morning, so beyond doing the rough grocery list and finishing a book I really haven't gotten much done. Boyfriend isn't doing well, but he is working through a lot of trauma and, well, the only way to get better is to work through it. So I'm supporting him and praying a lot and know it will get better eventually.
Made us all hamburgers for lunch, and we'll see how that does with the remains of the migraine, and whether or not I need to go back to bed with it. Sometimes I can keep it from really ramping up by going to bed at the first sign of it.5 -
Food sensitivities I’m sensitive to eggs-both whites and holds, ginger, winter squash, hard shell fish, gluten, potatoes, eggplant and a whole lot more. The first 4 I avoid like the plague or colitis attacks. The others I can eat small amounts and not have issues.
My son is alive and well physically, mentally still a mess. He has all the symptoms of paranoid schizophrenia.
A friend came by last night who does penny shopping. Pm me or research it for details. She brought me some ice cream bars and a new portable hair dryer she got for a penny each. Eased my depression a little. So good thing.
Doctor appointment went well. Dropped my colitis meds to one every other day as long as I avoid the foods I listed. BP was high, but anxiety level and asthma bothers caused that.

Pip--Sending prayers for today and the doctors.
Tracey--Sending hugs and prayers that things get better at work.
Rita--Sending hugs and prayers for you and your son. It is so hard when we can not make things right and happy for our children. At least he is where he can get the help. Please take care of you.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes. It has been a good day, My staff went together and got me a card and coffee mug. DH had flower delivered. Not planning anything this evening as we went out last evening for both our birthdays. Went to a new place and all we could say when we left is we will never have to go back. Took 45 minutes for food as they told us they only had one cook. DH seen a guy come in the back door and put the hat on after we had ordered, so guessing he was not there. Then my food was over cooked and all they could say is that happens sometimes. So lesson learned.
Ash Wednesday and for lent this year going to work on my negative attitude and anger issues.
Blessings, Vicki GRAND ISLAND, NE9 -

HEATHER I had severe runs for a good couple of months at least.... worrisome... no test confirmed it....but stopping gluten for 2 weeks (and ever since) changed radically. I had been exhausted much of the time (was just 41 or so) and had life of anemia (mild to severe depending on the period) vitamin b deficiency ...all done when I stopped gluten. The flip side... have undiagnosed mokd to moderate (now severe) GF intolerance kept my weight down down w little effort for a couple of decades.. I would not rarely feel ill (belly ache or runny nose or bronchitis deoending on the périod) and just eat less of every as a cure till I felt better... cause eating would give sore throat etc ...2

DH was put on a fodmap diet by his doctor many years ago. It has been a blessing for him. He feels better because of it. Simplest to say that he cannot digest wheat. There are now many foods at the grocery stores that are gluten-free these days. I’m happy enough with many gluten free foods on the shelves. That said, I buy Seattle Sourdough bread for myself. I can enjoy it & DH doesn’t mind.1

Pip, prayers for successful surgery.
For Lent, I am recommitting to my project of logging my food faithfully everyday and adding an afternoon time of reflection and journal writing. I am going to use the I Deserve a Donut app for questions plus I am going to read the 40-day Sugar Fast. My plan is to give up sugar (or at the least processed sweets and desserts) during Lent. We shall see. I was successfully bopping along with this plan in 2020 until the shutdown.
I gave gained 2 1/2 lbs since My father’s fall on Dec 30. He is much better. It’s time for me to quit using his health as an excuse to ignore my own.9 -
LATEST UPDATE: when i finally got in to see him, the ending result is that my original scheduled appointment was apr 6 but then while i was in my car, they called and said they could do it tomorrow, sweet! The sooner the better. The mass in 17 x 22 centimeters so they said it weighs 3 to 4 lbs!! Wowzers. The surgery should take like 3 or so hours long. I’m going to have a big *kitten* vertical scar. When I’m open, that’s when the pathologist will look at the mass and/or take a sample and thru his/her experience will be able to tell if its cancerous or not but will be taking it out for testing to determine if it is cancer or not. When in there, they will find if its too close to my other areas and think they may be affected by the mass, they may take out my ovaries, appendix and other stuff if nececessary. I’m not of child bearing age so that won’t be any big deal. The plus is that they will be taking the first layer of fat from my tummy (lipo!!!) and the mass out so i will be loosing more weight!!! I should be there for 2-4 days, just seeing how i do. They said i should recover a lot quicker cuz I’m so healthy. 6-8 weeks recovery time. Kirby won’t be able to go in there with me. Our plan is still be able to go camping on 3/14 and the cruise in may.`I feel more bad for kirby cuz he will be worried sick not being able to be with me but at least he has yogi. Thanks for everyone’s well wishes and continued prayers.17

Sending you all the best wishes in the world for your surgery tomorrow Pip.
I had a total hysterectomy, ovaries, the lot. I had a fibroid outside the uterus and a cyst on one ovary. Fairly quick recovery and haven't missed any of it. Let's just say, it did not affect my sex life.
Hoping for the best of outcomes for you.
Love to all, Heather UK xxxxxxxx5 -

Would you mind linking these? I have also given up processed sugars for Lent.

Kevrit, I understand at a deep level. My partners have DID and bipolar disorder and PTSD, and it's very hard to help someone when their brain is working against them. Please know you and your son are in my thoughts.
I've had a hangover from the migraine all day, and we're having leftovers and sandwiches for dinner because I'm just not there today. (sigh)
Tomorrow will be different.6 -
Pip,I will be praying for you I also had a full hysterectomy except for one ovary floating around ,I had fibroids and my uterus was the size of a 4 month pregnancy.. Sure wish i was closer to be able to be there at least be able to hang out with Kirby and Yogi and try and take his mind of things..
Tracy did ok and we went over to childs consignment store to drop off clothes and we picked up some more as Miles is growing like a weed..3 -
Pip - Thank you for the update. Sending prayers for an excellent outcome.

Not a great day here. My back was sore so I skipped exercise. That's better but now I have a migraine. I put off some paperwork and ate poorly. Plenty of room for improvement!
Machka yes I could take the course just to be prepared. But I don't think I will. I think I can afford to concentrate on my parents for now. My mom is getting a heart valve ultrasound tomorrow. It may lead to heart valve surgery, so I will wait and see.
