Kim-I am glad Tim could actually show records-I was going to ask if there was a way for you to verify. I would guess Tim may just end up backing out of the situation now that he has found out what is going on. I believe you said earlier that your brother has no legal part of your mothers property/finances? It might be worthwhile to consult with an attorney and see if the information you have could be used to block him from getting future access. Some areas take scamming senior very seriously. Unfortunately, they are most often scammed by family members.

Allie-I hoped you double checked the whereabouts of all of your cards. I check and pay my balances weekly on them.

Debbie-I find the mom bringing the girl with her known exposure a bit bothersome. I think people should at least let each other know of possibility. We will, no doubt, continue to see more of this. I hope it skips you and that the girl and her family all have very mild cases.

Rita-my youngest son does not have the same sort of issues your son does, but he has dealt with anger and depression (much due to his dad). He has gone to counseling for several years and has learned to talk about issues. I was thinking at the wedding how good his new wife has been for him-when he said during vow exchange she balances him out-it was very true. Hope your son continues to find and use assistance he needs.

Got booster yesterday. At the 17 hour point, arm is a bit sore and I feel a touch achy-not as bad as previous shots (or flu or pneumonia shots for that matter). I think I'm going to be ok with this one! Still going to take it easy today but I have a number of smaller tasks to accomplish.

Supposed to be sunny today with high in low 80's-definitely going for a walk. May go out to reservoir this morning before it gets too crowded this afternoon.

    Take care all,

    Morning ladies
Yes I have 3 cards all are in my wallet,I only use one ,the others are for emergencies and they are all paid off..
The one that was compromised was from my credit union and i havent used that one in about a year and a 1/2 it was for computer software in California..uhhh no not me for 248.00 the credit union texted me a fraud alert for one of the charges. And i got a statement in the mail,so I got on the horn right away to both the credit union and the to dispute the charges.. they locked that card and are sending me a new one so i will shred that.
Going to take my pills and off to Target.. thank you again Margaret.. im going to get a umbrella stroller something easier that i can handle..

OH WOW Kim! I am so impressed. Here we are worried about YOU and you have got it going on! Already done a BG check on the man and he's given you the PWs. Well done. Just....... EARS OPEN, EYES CLICK as the Marines would say. Don't let your guard down. I know you won't.
And I LOVE Lanette's cast iron skillet idea too.
"kitten"... Evelyn! That's wonderful. My laugh for the day. Thank you. I needed that.

Katla, GLAD you got the lounge chairs. I've heard horror stories about furniture deliveries lately.

Oh my, Heather, that is some serious concentration there. I would NOT want to be on the receiving end of that email.

Rita, I am really glad your son is getting help. We lost my cousin several years ago to paranoid-schizophrenia. Such a horrible disease. Can rob a person of a full life if their not properly treated, medicated and get the right therapy. My cousin did for most of his life and then "just stopped". No one could tell him anything after that and we just lost him. So sad.

OMG! I have the windows open today. It's terribly cloudy, but the temp is 63 and I've thrown open the windows and I can hear the birds and I don't even mind the traffic!!! It's glorious! Might even get into the 70s today. Of course, tomorrow it's supposed to be 49 again and stay about that the rest of the week. Oh glorious spring in MN. lol

Worked today then cleaning our deck. Today was my first day of Saturdays. Actually, one of the managers mentioned to me that she didn’t think the girl who used to do the prep on Saturdays would be in. She came in around 9. See, she used to do the prep and then do something (cook, I think) with the bacon. Anyway, I asked what she was doing here and she said “I came to see you”. She was going to work on the bacon. But I thought it was nice of her to stop by. She kept saying to me “I love you, it was nice working with you”

Lanette – skillet, indeed. Give him an extra hit from me

Barbara – can’t go in the pool YET. Still green. But I do have to say that it seems to be clearing up faster than it had in previous years. No idea why, but it really doesn’t matter. Do you know that Bingo is one game that I have no interest in whatsoever. I think that’s because my father’s second wife was into Bingo and I want nothing to do with what she liked. She also liked to gamble in Las Vegas. I have no desire whatsoever to go to Las Vegas, and I’m sure that’s the reason. What’s salal snipping?

Allie – glad to hear you’re getting a new card.

Lisa – good idea waiting for the second injection before starting

Jess just told me that she was going to get rid of one of her beds. I think it would go good in the condo so I asked her if we could get it. Then I found out it was a double. I thought it was a queen like the other one we have. I really don’t want to have to have two sets of sheets down there. That would mean a new bedspread, too. New sheets, new bedspread, new mattress since the one that’s there is a queen. Oh well...maybe another one will come up. What I like was that it had four drawers on the bottom and storage is always at a premium at the condo.

Oh, I totally forgot about the ice. See, while I was at BK someone came in with two coolers and got ice. I didn’t know that could be done. Not sure how much they were charged (if at all). Perhaps they were friends of someone. I wanted to ask if I could do that when we have the pool party for Newcomers in July. The worse they can say is “no”.

Guess later tonight I’ll go to Food Lion (I’ll walk) since I found out that I need another pork shoulder roast and I believe the last time I was able to get it there.

Had a good chat with G today. She seems brighter and getting stuff sorted. Unfortunately she was scammed online by a clever trick, but has only lost £44 , so it could be worse.
We are seeing each other IRL next week, when we get together for our first, since covid, in-person reunion with our other schoolfriends. I am staying in a hotel nearby for one night, whereas they will be together in P's apartment for two nights. I love them all, but I cannot socialise intensely for very long. I got a ridiculously cheap train ticket, for almost nothing, as they are trying to encourage people back to the railways after covid. The hotel is pricey, in Central London, but it's worth it to me, to be able to get away and have space. We have booked two exhibitions and one lunch so far. I will arrive to a 'picnic' lunch in P's flat. So, it's just the dinner to sort out.
I am a bit nervous, because P has often got on my nerves. If I met her today, I would give her a wide berth, but we have known each other 60 years and share a lot. At least I have my hotel to retreat to. :D
I will get some cash out of the bank for the first time in over 2 years! I have been paying for everything with a card!

Sausage, cabbage, bacon and sauerkraut for dinner.

    Love Heather UK xxxxxxxx

22: Enjoy moving to your favorite music. Really go for it. Passed on opportunity to dance with friends at local brewery’s 30th anniversary celebration. Just not there yet.

Kim your “protect your mom” advice to Annie reminds me of a thought that flitted through my mind this morning. Is there a way to do a title or other check on your mom’s property to make sure nothing has been done that could put her out of her home?
Karen, hope your sense of Tim is on target. Would be a blessing.
    Lanette  the skillet.
    Rita ((hugs))
Katla thanks again and forever for the hummingbird feeders recommendations. Gives Joe joy and excitement and something to talk to me about. Thank you, thank you thank YOU!
Heather If I were the bank’s CEO, I’d pay attention to whatever Johnny wrote. Bet it’s superb! Anger->grief? Think my anger’s middle name is fear…
Allie you are so casual about the unauthorized use of your credit card. I’d be flipping out. Well done on the fraud alert.
Rebecca that was when banks looked like banks! Thanks for the moviestowatch.tv I’ll finally be able to watch Julie & Julia ;)
Margaret, what you said to Kim.
Pip how are you feeling? Your stats are so impressive, so soon after surgery.
Evelyn :…hope Karma comes along…” amen, sister, amen!
Michele I can picture you doing your happy dance in the pool. ;)

Helped my friend C with Bingo at the Elks. Not my gambling thing but fascinating to see the range from first timers to the regulars with their bags to carry daubers and lucky charms set up “just so.”

Gorgeous day today and very little wind so snuck in a little salal snipping while down at the powerline meadow with the dogs.

I am doing good. I would say I’m back to normal distance walking now. I still haven’t run over a mile yet to c how I do , will tackle that later. My usual weight now seems to be under 130, so I guess that’s a good thing.. my 8 inch scar seems to have healed as good as it’s gonna get, it’s not pretty tho. Thx for asking

keep using the Vit. E oil on it to continue helping it.

The chairs we bought are JE Ekornes AS N —6222 Ikornnes —Norway

This set is blue and we’re loving them. We bought them through our local furniture store. We had a previous set in a light tan color. One of them was not able to hold up after all the years but a second is still okay. We gave it to our nephew.

Sunny today. DD and I worked for about an hour this morning outside. Horses are now in the backyard pasture for the first time this spring. They buried their noses in the grass and didn't move an inch for the first five minutes.

The guys are supposed to be coming to move the second half of the old mobile today but I will believe that when I see it. They said they would be here last weekend too and never showed.

DD got her raised bed garden built this last week and is now ready to fill it with soil. She wants to plant potatoes and carrots.

The blueberries are blooming and the apple tree has lots of buds. We will also plant tomatoes and snowpeas on the trellises near the gazebo.

Kim - Sending angels and strength to you. The whole thing has to be super distressing.

Everyone take care, Sue in WA

Allie FYI you also need to make sure that the fraud alert is actually from your bank / credit card company. Scammers sometimes tell you that there has been fraud on your account when really they are actually about to get information from you so that they can commit fraud. Speaking from personal experience here. Never call anybody except your bank number that you have on file not one given to you on your phone or tablet. Only call the credit card company with the number on the back of your credit card!! Not one that is associated with the fraud alert.

ALLIE ~ I just checked and my credit union is under FICU and The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) unless this is something that just recently happened.

This afternoon I went to a celebration garden party for the 89 yo president of the charity for which I volunteer. She’s such an inspiration!!!
Lisa: Glad to know you’re feeling a little better. Good call on the meds.
Sue: DH is building a large raised bed. Couldn’t believe how much soil would be needed to fill it, and how expensive it is. I hope we get the produce to make it worth our while.

    🥳🎉 Cheers to those celebrating.
Virtual (((hugs))) and 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 for those who need them.

Carla - I love hearing about your crazy weather, Vicki's in Nebraska too. Beth near Buffalo and Ginny in Ohio and the rest of you in the middle part of the country ....nearly all my relatives live in Northern Indiana so they are getting a taste of it. DH reminds me "that's why we moved here" referring to Western WA State.

We don't say too loudly - we got Midwest weather last month. Snow, cold cold temps. Yikes!

But the flowers are blooming, apple and pear blossoms perfuming the back yard and bees buzzing. Good thing they don't watch the weather report.
