I am looking forward to a trip to the library, lunch with friends, and a trip to Walmart. It will be a busy day.
After a windy & dusty day yesterday, we have the pleasure of a bright, sunshiny day today. Yay!

Good morning ladies. Waiting for it to warm up a bit and then we will be taking a 20 mile bike ride. After that we have tickets for the new movie Guardians of the Universe volume three. We were also invited out to dinner tonight with our pastor and his wife. we have a lot of things going on today! It’s going to be at a high calorie day. I do calorie cycling. So yesterday I had 350 cal left over. Today I will probably eat those plus more. So then tomorrow I will eat less than my 1200 cal. I will average 1200 cal per day per week. I never include my exercise calories, add them to the daily amount, especially when I have a couple pounds to lose.
Have a great day, everyone!

Heather - I can’t wait to see the painting when you’ve finished it. I’m sure your brother will love it. Of course, you’ll do an amazing job.
Barbie - I need to adopt your gratitude attitude daily. I even bought a beautiful book for this year.
Debbie - it is pipe cleaners. I tried tying with invisible thread and it didn’t work well. I ended up using a drop of hot glue on each end and middle. Then I put it in the oven until they started melting together a little bit. I had the oven on 400 and they were in for about 3 minutes. I checked them every 30 seconds or so though. When they came out I made sure they were sticking by gently pushing any gaps together with fork handles. Also, tonight I realized I think my bottom element is gone so it may not take that long.

My mom told me that I could sleep on the couch and my nephew would sleep in the other recliner(mom sleeps in her recliner most of the time). The problem was they both snore really loud.
Earlier in the day, both of them were napping in the recliners and it was so loud, we couldn't hear the tv(and mom keeps it up pretty loud most of the time-laying in bed in the back of the house I could hear every word of the SVU show she was up watching)
I had only had less than 4hrs sleep the night before and I just needed a quiet place to get some sleep-I have to be up early to drive home the next morning.
It was very hard and got cold quite a few times but at least it was very quiet and dark in there.
Thanks for the instructions. I think Ezie will have fun making one

Still no air conditioner. Waiting on parts. Supposed to be 95 today. Inside camper is up to 86 with fans. Not fun. Too hot to do anything.

we are still hoping she tells her to leave. She wants her gone but doesn't want to have to tell her to leave. She is not going to leave on her own. She has it too good-free rent for over a year, using utilities constantly(tv/computer/lights are on all the time, well into the night).
Mom knows how my sister and I feel about her too.
It has to be her decision to tell her. The more we push her, the more she backs off the room mate.

Barbara--What is the shake two in a glass of water to peel trick? I always have so much trouble peeling the eggs to make devilled eggs.
Machka--I found "What your toes can tell about your potential and your self-image" very interesting and a lot to think about. Thank you for sharing.
Been an interesting day. When I got to work this morning my other day shift person gave notice. Her last day is next Wednesday. That leaves me Monday-Friday 6a-6p until further notice. My boss said this morning that he is going to administration about hiring someone. That's great but it takes time and atleast a good month to train. I actually feel pretty calm so far.
Going to the city council meeting tonight as DGS that works on the police force is getting an award for saving a person that was shot. Proud of him and want to show support. But only staying until that part is over then going home. Have 2 cakes I baked last evening to frost and drop off at church for a funeral tomorrow.

Barbara - have you read any of Robyn Carr's books? I've just started on her "Thunder Point" series and it's set on the Oregon Coast near your neck of the woods. I'm well into the Virgin River series but waiting for a couple from the library so I can read them in order.
I'm getting to be a big fan of hers. Bodice rippers have a come a long way!
I'm looking forward to the HOT weekend coming up, in the 90's, so I have an excuse to stay in the house and read, lol.

Too tired to be coherent. Girls needed nails painted, blusher put on, hair done, dressed and jewellery!!! Plus feeding. Bea spilt all her drink all over the table. Me being one handed meant DH had to do right hands of nail polish! He is a gem. We got on the bus and arrived in good Time.
We were thanked by DDIL and found a few people to talk to, including some of the professionals involved in bringing the book out.
DDIL thanked us in her speech. Her parents were also there and her military in law. I spoke to him for a while and told him about my link with the military through you all. He had a traumatic story to tell.
All good. Drank a lot of Prosecco, but was OK to come home on the bus.
Phew!
Ready for bed.

I had a nice day with friends. I returned two books to the library and checked out two new ones by another writer. We went out for lunch & came home happy. 😊 👍🏻

Heather - I started following Ralph, thank you for the suggestion.
I love that lampshade.
Barbara - How wonderful that Joe bought you a Mother’s Day gift.
Apparently my oven is fine, I don’t know what was going on last night. Maybe it was my impatience, it seemed to take an extra long time for the bacon to cook.
Machka - very interesting article, thanks for sharing.
Kylia - I truly hope your DH and SIl agree with an hours change. It sure would make it easier on everyone.
Katla - I’m happy for you that you have made friends in your new city.
I am so nervous about having my doctor send this letter in that I feel like I’m having an anxiety attack.
I am also feeling it for having to work with her one more day, so I have to do it. I hate being put in this position.

10. Be grateful for the little things, even in difficult times. Will keep this in mind tomorrow.
Mchka self-image and action article, much food for thought there.
Ginny thanks! Will ask Joe to pass this info on to his new MD if his foot pain persists. Might be a challenge to find a compounding pharmacy nearby, but there’s one in Medford. For now, his pain is lessened with every day he’s been AF. :}
Kylia good idea to change open hours/days. Lots of businesses are having to do it because of not being able to find staff or afford them if found.
Debbie in your situation I’d have taken the pillow and blanket to my car. Less comfortable but quieter. You are so right the decision must come from your mom. ((hugs)).
Heather delighted to hear Johnny is stepping up to be your right hand. that he even painted Bea and Edie’s nails. Like Lisa I wish he could be my grandpa too!
Vicki here’s the boiled egg peeling hack https://youtu.be/Emf76tJiAew?t=4 Are there any other departments or sister companies from which you could draw temporary help?
Lanette, just put volume 1 on hold at the library. Was looking for some light fiction. Thanks!
Tracey prayers and ((hugs))
