I am a MyFitnessPal backslider π who just found out my A1C is a bit elevated. My busy and stressful teacher life makes it challenging to put me first. I welcome your encouragement, suggestions, and community.

I, like you, am a backslider with an elevated A1c, 10 lbs and suddenly a higher blood pressure than ever before in my life! I am a retired teacher but struggle with not getting stuck in eating the same thing day in and day out and then getting bored and going off the rails! I am not big on social media but think this is a well vetted and truly helpful way to reach out and support each other if you are interested? Not sure how to join a group but will check out the other helpful posts above.0

It is pretty typical to have better days and not as good. And I agree, being around other people like here can help.
The discussion forums are full of conversation, don't be shy.
Also, over in the challenge forum are groups who are doing current and upcoming challenges - it can be a good way to get to know others. Here's a link to the challenges...

A good way to lower A1C is to walk for 20 minutes after each meal. A walking pad helps!0

I am a diabetic type 2. I have lowered my a1c both by restricting high glycemic index foods and just controlling how much food I eat in a meal. So just by eating healthier, you should be able to get it under control.
