Thanks for the tip, Lisa. Unfortunately, the protein powder often settles at the bottom. Maybe I should only use one scoop in my small blender. Unsweetened applesauce is stellar :).

The directions on the container of my protein powder says to use 2 scoops, but I always use only 1 or less scoops of sweetened protein powder. 🧋

Wowser! I don't know what my body was up to this week, but I lost SIX pounds!! I'm now at 292.5lbs.

I'm guessing its because I had a few days of eating junk food, and my body went for a hard reset or something, but that was unexpected!!

I'm now less than 30lbs to a target I set a while back. My local cinema has 4D seats, with a weight limit of 265lbs. People can go on them while heavier, but apparently the functionality is limited, so I've been wanting to be 265 or under so I can go on one and enjoy it fully. It'll still take me a while to lose the 28lbs I need to be under that, but its in touching distance now…

    today’s weigh in-

    Starting weight: 317.6

    Current weight: 275.2

Tough week for me because I actually gained a pound. These kind of weeks make no sense to me and frustrate me so much because I worked out, I ate well, I stayed active & I still gained a pound! Ugh it’s so annoying. Like the only time I can think of me straying from my diet was getting a popsicle at work because I didn’t want to be the one weirdo who didn’t take one. I was running 4 miles a day at the gym! It makes no freaking sense 😭 maybe it’s because I’m going through an immense amount of work stress because my manager is leaving and all her responsibilities are falling on me. I don’t know 🤦‍♀️ it just sucks so much when you try your hardest and you fail. 😣

“Eating sweets, in moderation, can be part of a healthy weight loss plan. The key is to focus on portion control and mindful eating, rather than completely eliminating treats. Occasional treats can help you stay on track with your diet and prevent feelings of deprivation, which can lead to overeating later.”

    Weigh-In: SATURDAY

    Starting Weight: 286.2 lbs (6 / 1 / 2024)

    Past Weight: 202.2 lbs

    Current Weight: 203.0 lbs

    Up 0.8 lbs

    ——————

    Exercise💦: 5 hours this week

[It's been a "wonky week" for me… not been able to concentrate on my food - eating healthy, but portion control was off - or exercise. Been taking iron pills for my anemia, and I made a delicious beef and bean stew, the latter which added more needed protein. Last night I learned that an old "work buddy" from the 1980s died, we had been in occasional contact via Fb, and while he never looked well in his pictures (quite gaunt), he never spoke of being ill. Normally, an event like that would have triggered a snack binge… but my stomach felt "too off" to eat, Thank God.]

A 5-pound fluctuation in daily weight is typically normal due to variations in fluid and food intake, and even bowel movements. These fluctuations don't necessarily indicate fat gain or loss, but rather shifts in the body's water balance. Stress can also lead to weight fluctuations.”

“Daily weight fluctuation is natural. The average adult’s weight fluctuates up to 5 or 6 pounds per day. It all comes down to what and when you eat and drink, the type of exercise you do, and even your sleep.”

Since my scale numbers have kind of let me down in last weeks weigh in, I am trying to celebrate non scale victories to keep up my morale in my fitness journey. This shirt I got a few weeks ago at a festival. It was the only size they had left at an XL. I thought it wouldn’t fit but I wore it for my workout and it fit! COMFORTABLY EVEN!! Mind you, when I started this journey I’d typically wear a 2XL sometimes even 3XL. This is a win for me!

I also am trying to focus on the fact that I am just feeling so much better about myself physically and mentally. I am proud of myself for making it this far already.

Jules, you look beautiful. If I looked as good as you do at your weight, I wouldn’t bother losing anymore. You are living proof that being heavy can be healthy and attractive. Thanks for the very encouraging picture. I can’t wait to get down to 250 again. I have no desire to weigh under 200. I’ve always been much healthier with some extra meat on my bones. I look great at size 16 if I do say so myself. 🤓

I agree, I also have no desire to be skinny, I just want to feel healthy, do the things that my weight has been holding me back from, & take control of my body. I have never lived a skinny day in my life and I don’t think I ever will. I am okay with that but I just want to be better than I once was. 💪

Good job, Jen. You lost 6 lbs. 👏 That’s a lot. About the size of a sack of potatoes.

A 6 lb weight loss removes 24 lbs of pressure off your knees. 😀 👍

I have had a challenging week with my weight, eating and mental health - allllll connected! I am forgiving myself for whatever arrives on my scales tomorrow and keeping going.

    ……… and I have to say I'm not displeased at a 2lb loss :)

I was over 300lb at the beginning of the year, I note that in March I was 297lbs so I am using this to keep going.

I like your attitude Bonnie. A 2 lb weight loss removes 8 lbs of pressure off your knees.

Here are 2 of my favorite movies, and my favorite website:

    IMG_1680.jpeg

BIG EYES is the true story about painter Margaret Keane. You can find it on the Disney channel, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video.

    IMG_1681.jpeg

THE RIDE. The inspiring story of a BMX champion who overcame an abusive childhood through the love and life lessons of his interracial foster family. You can find it on Tubi, Amazon Prime, and Netflix.

    IMG_1685.jpeg

    JW.ORG is my favorite website.

Oh yes Brian, I too remember that horrible show. 😢 I only watched it once, and never again. Talking about fat shaming! Jillian Michaels and the other trainers used cruel humiliation tactics. The contestants had abuse screamed in their face. Many of the contestants claimed the show ruined their lives (and their metabolism).

[I've been "visiting" ONEDERLAND for the 2nd time, these past 2 days, so feeling pleased with myself. Better yet, after a week on Iron supplements and eating more protein, I'm starting to have a bit more energy than the sloth I was for quite awhile.]

These foods are very high in pesticide residue.I buy these foods organic, when I can.

These are some of my favorite foods. Very low in pesticide residue. You don’t need to buy these organic. Bananas are safe also. 🍌

I much prefer yellow corn over white. Mainly because it’s prettier. We eat with our eyes. ☀️ 🌽 👀

    This weeks weigh in:

    Starting weight: 317.6lbs

    Current weight: 269.6lbs

Total lost is 48lbs ugh I am so close to 50!! I can smell it haha! & finally in the 260s!

I am not typically a bikini picture poster….i typically don’t like posting photos of myself at all; however, I am feeling like being a little vulnerable and showing what a 269.6lb woman looks like. This was a swimsuit I had back in college (hence the 2016 Aztec print). Last summer it BARELY fit. I was planning on throwing it away but evidently never got around to it. Anyways, I am going on a cruise next month and I was trying on old swimsuits and it fits! I obviously still have a long way to go in my weight loss journey. I still am fat. I still have rolls. I still have areas to work on. I still have a big belly. BUT I AM STILL BEAUTIFUL!

Something I have been struggling with in this journey is loving myself at all stages so I am working on documenting moments I feel good and proud of how far I’ve come over these months.

Another huge win for me- as I mentioned I am going on a cruise and so when I was booking excursions, as fat people do, I was looking at the body requirements. I was under all weight restrictions!!! Woo hoooooo!!! This is what I wanted from my weight loss journey all along! Not to be skinny, but to not be held back by my weight!!

hello! I’m Maranda. Im currently 294.4lbs. I wanna get back to 200 also. My short term goals are to be more active be able to stay consistent with my new lifestyle. Long term goals are to lose all this weight and to feel more confident in my own skin. I’ve tried Keto and some diets but always gain everything back and more. This time around I am counting macros and staying in a calorie deficit

Good for you, Knxjg6yvyr. Congrats on your weight loss! I have a similar Aztec print bikini, in teal and pink, that I love, I bought two of them back then, with a skirt bottom. The front lacing is nice, too. These days, I wear bikini in the house when it is too hot for anything else. Enjoy your cruise!

My favorite candy bar is PAYDAY.

Eating a favorite candy bar once in a while is okay because it can provide a quick source of energy, and some types of candy (like dark chocolate) offer antioxidants and minerals.

Candy provides a rapid source of carbohydrates, which can be helpful for replenishing energy levels, especially after intense physical activity.
