Good day yesterday. Went for two walks and exercised. My 7 day trend weight is coming back down. I feel like I've 'flattened the up trending curve'. Took a page from Jon and pre-logged food yesterday before I ate it and then stuck with what I logged. Eg., We had burgers for dinner and normally I'd put ketchup on mine, but I didn't have enough calories left for ketchup, so I didn't! I know, it is a small thing, but it is those small things that add up over time.
Even better, I've been tracking my BF% and lean mass. According these calculations, I've lost 5.5 lbs since April 13th and all of that has been fat. I know BF% determination is a controversial topic. My view is, so long as the chosen method of calculation is applied consistency, then the actual calculation doesn't matter, it is the trend over time that matters.

Hi everyone.
I am Dawn. I live in SE British Columbia Canada. I am 5'2" (or 5'3"?) and 64 years of age. I have done a bunch of these 100s now, I have lost count lol. I was sitting at 130 for quite awhile, trying desperately to get into the 120s, but gained little by little over the last couple of years. My "ideal" weight should be between 110-118 for my height, BMI, and stuff. At this point I just really want to get back into the 130s.

Week 1 Goal: 142.4 (seems lofty, but I was at 143.0 for two days in a row at the end of the last 100)
Week 1 Actual Weight: 144.2- Hit 142.6 this week, the day before the end of our week, which was so close to my goal.

Day 57—07/10— 138.0 - I have been out in the garden picking my dinner for later tonight. Nice to see that number this morning, it blinked on 137.8 until settling. In a rush now lol, I took too much time in the garden.
Day 58—07/11— 137.0 - Yahoo to that number! I ended up leaving my second job at 5:30 last night (I have already told the owner that I won't be working there past September). His young wife once in awhile decides to stay and make it a 10-12 hour day for herself. Normally she leaves. It is a small restaurant, barely enough for 1 person such as myself. She had a very busy day and made lots of tips, I guess that she wanted more. I wasn't into it, I had already cleaned up everything from her busy day and she took the only table that came in. I said "you are staying?" She said yes, so I said "okay, I am leaving then, bye". I was home in a flash and got to work on those last 3 rows of 9 in the potato garden that were overcome with tall weeds and bindweed wrapped so tightly around the potatoes. It is done!!! Well worth leaving work for. If leaving work caused me stress it was soon eliminated with digging, lunging, squatting, untangling and re-hilling : - )

I agree with everything @Jon4189 wrote. In addition, MFP will calculate target calories IN. Many MFPers also use calculator.net to have a second opinion for target calories IN. Weight loss happens when you are at a caloric deficit. Exercise is for maintaining and building muscle. Weight fluctuations re normal. I'm a lot smaller than Jon: female 5'5" 144lbs. My target calories IN is 1770. 170 calories higher than Jon. I've been averaging about .4 lbs loss per week. I have a much slower pace than Jon, because I know myself well enough to know that I will not sustain 1600 calories per day. I don't know how Jon does it, but I've tried it and it wasn't working for me. Everyone is unique and everyone has to figure out what works for them.
I also like to track body fat % and lean mass because I want to lose fat, not muscle. This is a MFP controversial topic because calculating BF% is inaccurate. I use Health Status https://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/body-fat-percentage-calculator/ , which provides four commonly accepted BF% calculation results based on various body measurements. It only accepts whole numbers (no decimals), so I do it twice (once rounding up and once rounding down), then I take the average of those 8 and the % from my home scale. It is all an estimate, but I believe, so long as it is consistently applied, then the trend is informative.@Jon4189 Congratulations on your consistent success. You are an inspiration!

Thoughts at the start of this round:
My goal from the very beginning has been to lose one pound per week for a total of 12 pounds per challenge. I have never considered that to be too much and I never thought in a million years I would find it this difficult, even at my age and with my health problems. But it’s proved to be nothing but an uphill climb and in most cases, impossible. I am going to lower my goal to 10 pounds per challenge and see if that will feel more right, more do-able. This breaks down to 0.7 lbs per challenge week. I don’t think that is too much to ask of my mind, my body and my spirit! I, again, thank you for sharing my journey with me and allowing me to travel with you on yours. It is reassuring, refreshing, enlightening and inspiring and I am forever grateful.

I set up a Go Fund Me Page but I won't post the link because I don't want to look like I am panhandling or anything. But there was no question of NOT having this surgery for him. And I am worried…hoping he will come through ok.

He is understandably lethargic, which is just as well because he is not allowed to be too active. The stress has my blood sugar higher than usual, but still within parameters.

This dashboard has gamified things for me. My goal is to get through this weekend without adding any red or yellow cells. I want to see 10 days in a row in the green. My workouts were good this week. I'm lifting heavier weights and I feel more agile. This type and amount of food is good. I can keep doing this. Have a great weekend, everyone.

Yes, I tack pieces of fabric on my fence. Mostly just for fun. They fade pretty quickly in the sun, so I am always on the lookout for more to keep in a drawer until I put them up. For sure it keeps the road dust out, and privacy in.

Hi everyone.
I am Dawn. I live in SE British Columbia Canada. I am 5'2" (or 5'3"?) and 64 years of age. I have done a bunch of these 100s now, I have lost count lol. I was sitting at 130 for quite awhile, trying desperately to get into the 120s, but gained little by little over the last couple of years. My "ideal" weight should be between 110-118 for my height, BMI, and stuff. At this point I just really want to get back into the 130s.

Day 57—07/10— 138.0 - I have been out in the garden picking my dinner for later tonight. Nice to see that number this morning, it blinked on 137.8 until settling. In a rush now lol, I took too much time in the garden.
Day 58—07/11— 137.0 - Yahoo to that number! I ended up leaving my second job at 5:30 last night (I have already told the owner that I won't be working there past September). His young wife once in awhile decides to stay and make it a 10-12 hour day for herself. Normally she leaves. It is a small restaurant, barely enough for 1 person such as myself. She had a very busy day and made lots of tips, I guess that she wanted more. I wasn't into it, I had already cleaned up everything from her busy day and she took the only table that came in. I said "you are staying?" She said yes, so I said "okay, I am leaving then, bye". I was home in a flash and got to work on those last 3 rows of 9 in the potato garden that were overcome with tall weeds and bindweed wrapped so tightly around the potatoes. It is done!!! Well worth leaving work for. If leaving work caused me stress it was soon eliminated with digging, lunging, squatting, untangling and re-hilling : - )
Day 59—07/12— 136.4 - Wow. Well, I was going to take something different out of the freezer for tonight's after work dinner, but seeing how that what I have been eating all week is netting this type of result I will have the same thing: 1/4 cup of beans (white kidney which I portioned into the freezer), .75 cup of rice, green onions from my garden, dill from my garden, cucumber, bell pepper, tomatoes, 3tbsp sour cream. I have been having 6 water crackers and 3-4 tbsp of hummus as an appetizer. Overall, this combo has me going to the bathroom before my weigh in, so that is definitely a factor unlike in some previous weeks where I didn't. Still planning on indulgent unhealthy/bad food for my Monday night with a couple of cocktails. It would be great to have a buffer.

Thoughts at the start of this round:
My goal from the very beginning has been to lose one pound per week for a total of 12 pounds per challenge. I have never considered that to be too much and I never thought in a million years I would find it this difficult, even at my age and with my health problems. But it’s proved to be nothing but an uphill climb and in most cases, impossible. I am going to lower my goal to 10 pounds per challenge and see if that will feel more right, more do-able. This breaks down to 0.7 lbs per challenge week. I don’t think that is too much to ask of my mind, my body and my spirit! I, again, thank you for sharing my journey with me and allowing me to travel with you on yours. It is reassuring, refreshing, enlightening and inspiring and I am forever grateful.

My daughter’s temptations feel like they are in my face (although she doesn’t encourage me). I don’t know what is going on with me but it ‘s time to put a pin in it or I will end up gaining back all that I’ve lost this round. I have very very specific goals. I need to get back with the program. Daughter leaves Sunday night about 7:00 pm but I need to do better between now and then too.

Posting late today. We visited our youngest son today, which means 5 hours of driving. We went to a beach with him and did a little canoeing and some walking out into the water and throwing the baton for the dog. The dog is exhausted. I'm posting both yesterday's and today's IN & OUT. I'm currently within my 1770 and am very much tempted to go over. I thought by posting before the day was over, it will give me the extra oomph I need to get me through. Today's calories OUT are what my FitBit says right now 1433 + 300 estimate for the remainder of the day. I report in tomorrow whether this pre-posting in this challenge worked for me.
