Yesterday was an active recovery day. I went for two walks, cleaned bathrooms, did laundry and did some stretching in the afternoon. I'm surprised I'm feeling a little sore today. But I'll get my workout in.

I'm so glad I joined this challenge. I didn't know it would go this way, but I am building sustainable habits. My food choices have improved and my fitness level has improved.
I'm now a true believer of this 10-day rolling average. It took about 10 days of eating much healthier food to get rid of the puffiness I had in one of my ankles. I only see that swelling when I'm really off track, and it's a warning signal that I have done some damage and even my internal organs have suffered. I see that it takes MANY days to undo the damage that I can do by going off the rails for even 2-3 days. I don't get away with anything anymore. This has to be my "new normal". Thanks to @Jon4189 for taking the time to explain it.

Hi. I’m an unretired (by choice) senior from central B.C., Canada. Back for another round. After being an absolute backsliding turtle for the past ?18 months, my Ultimate challenge goal is to lose 20lbs.

Week 7:
Day 43 ~ 06/26: 178.4, a gain which I felt happening yesterday. Focus today is to get this off. Adding salads to weiner roast dinner plans. Thankfully my hip pain has lessened to just the usual discomfort so will work in a session on my stationery bike.
Day 44 ~ 06/27: 178.6 Baking for luncheon tomorrow. Indulged in white bread & marg, my krypto.
Day 45 ~ 06/28: 178.2 Pot luck at memorial luncheon. No exercise per se.
Day 46 ~ 06/29: 177.8 On day 13 of keeping a complete food journal; a few days have gone off the rails but still just recording what I’ve consumed is a “win” for me. Have a friend staying over tomorrow night so wine will be involved but hoping to keep as per my plan so all’s within points by day’s end. Working later today; always a bit of a challenge getting thru dinner hour, serving a Sunday -type dinner w/o caving in to the urge of “just a small plate”. Mowing lawn is planned exercise today.
Day 47 ~ 06/30: 177.6 Arranged to have someone else work my afternoon shift. Finished lawn this afternoon. Company for dinner; lasagna and salad. And of course, a bit of “red”.
Day 48 ~ 07/01: 178.2 Holy, what a long day. On the road by 7, long day in Kamloops (very hot there!) car shopping etc.
Day 49 ~ 07/02: 179.4 yikes! Combination of fluid retention and higher carb intake over past 2 days.

Hi everyone.
I am Dawn. I live in SE British Columbia Canada. I am 5'2" (or 5'3"?) and 64 years of age. I have done a bunch of these 100s now, I have lost count lol. I was sitting at 130 for quite awhile, trying desperately to get into the 120s, but gained little by little over the last couple of years. My "ideal" weight should be between 110-118 for my height, BMI, and stuff. At this point I just really want to get back into the 130s.

Thoughts at the start of this round:
My goal from the very beginning has been to lose one pound per week for a total of 12 pounds per challenge. I have never considered that to be too much and I never thought in a million years I would find it this difficult, even at my age and with my health problems. But it’s proved to be nothing but an uphill climb and in most cases, impossible. I am going to lower my goal to 10 pounds per challenge and see if that will feel more right, more do-able. This breaks down to 0.7 lbs per challenge week. I don’t think that is too much to ask of my mind, my body and my spirit! I, again, thank you for sharing my journey with me and allowing me to travel with you on yours. It is reassuring, refreshing, enlightening and inspiring and I am forever grateful.

I did get in a bit of intentional exercise but only about half of what I have been aiming for. Diet was WAY off as the 250th birthday party for the USA was off to a pretty big start yesterday made possible by my lovely foodie daughter and DGS. Today should be an okay food day as our family BBQ will not be until tomorrow (Saturday). I may skip weighing in on Sunday as it would just be a temporary bloat and misrepresentation. I don’t need the scale to tell me that if I partake in the typical foods at our BBQ’s I will bloat and gain. Today most of my children have gone kayaking or tubing down river. I am taking care of all the littles. 3 of them age 4-7. Maybe I’ll get in more steps today? Happy Birthday America!

I am Dawn. I live in SE British Columbia Canada. I am 5'2" (or 5'3"?) and 64 years of age. I have done a bunch of these 100s now, I have lost count lol. I was sitting at 130 for quite awhile, trying desperately to get into the 120s, but gained little by little over the last couple of years. My "ideal" weight should be between 110-118 for my height, BMI, and stuff. At this point I just really want to get back into the 130s.

Rain makes things grow much better than what comes out of the tap. I am having a lovely morning so far, wish that I could stay home all day, but can't. I will putter around this morning and there is stuff that I can do in the yard/garden in the rain : - )

I did end up feeling hungrier by the end of the day, so I had something sensible, but it put me over the goal. I'll be on track today. I might miss my exercise goal today because I got hit with my old friend, vertigo. It feels relatively mild this time, but it throws off my balance and means yoga is out for the time being. Once it starts, the positions in yoga trigger the spinning sensation. I know what to do. I need some fresh air and easy walks today.

Thoughts at the start of this round:
My goal from the very beginning has been to lose one pound per week for a total of 12 pounds per challenge. I have never considered that to be too much and I never thought in a million years I would find it this difficult, even at my age and with my health problems. But it’s proved to be nothing but an uphill climb and in most cases, impossible. I am going to lower my goal to 10 pounds per challenge and see if that will feel more right, more do-able. This breaks down to 0.7 lbs per challenge week. I don’t think that is too much to ask of my mind, my body and my spirit! I, again, thank you for sharing my journey with me and allowing me to travel with you on yours. It is reassuring, refreshing, enlightening and inspiring and I am forever grateful.

Day 51—07/04— DNW 💠 - (Trend Weight: DNW) Today is my no-weigh Friday and it’s just as well. I must confess that yesterday was not a good day on any level. I did get in a bit of intentional exercise but only about half of what I have been aiming for. Diet was WAY off as the 250th birthday party for the USA was off to a pretty big start yesterday made possible by my lovely foodie daughter and DGS. Today should be an okay food day as our family BBQ will not be until tomorrow (Saturday). I may skip weighing in on Sunday as it would just be a temporary bloat and misrepresentation. I don’t need the scale to tell me that if I partake in the typical foods at our BBQ’s I will bloat and gain. Today most of my children have gone kayaking or tubing down river. I am taking care of all the littles. 3 of them age 4-7. Maybe I’ll get in more steps today? Happy Birthday America!

Today is the biggest BBQ celebration for family so the weekend of celebration continues on day 3 for us. I will not be weighing tomorrow. DD’s 6 kittens were born just after midnight this morning. I didn't post yesterday. Friday was my husband's birthday. We went out for a fancy dinner at a local steakhouse. Calories IN were way high, but so were calories OUT. There was no way I was going to go to this restaurant and order a salad! Saturday, I exercised before breakfast because I didn't eat breakfast because I was still full from dinner the night before. Later in the afternoon we did another ROM Walk around Rosedale, it was so hot, the tour guide cut out a few stops near the end.

Oh no to the Vertigo! I have had it a couple of times. The first time I went to Emerg because I thought that I was having a stroke or something. The admitting nurse said that she got severe Vertigo at the onset of Menopause. Hmm.
Medicine didn't work. My doctor was away at the time, but when he came back he sent me to a physio guy that specialized in it and fixed me up. He told me to come in if it came back, and 6 months later it did and he fixed me again.
I still don't let the dental hygienists tip me all of the way back. My current 2 said that they can not take me anymore, that I will have to have one of the younger girls who don't mind standing up to do the tooth cleaning. Very happy to have government free dental care now : - )

Hi everyone.
I am Dawn. I live in SE British Columbia Canada. I am 5'2" (or 5'3"?) and 64 years of age. I have done a bunch of these 100s now, I have lost count lol. I was sitting at 130 for quite awhile, trying desperately to get into the 120s, but gained little by little over the last couple of years. My "ideal" weight should be between 110-118 for my height, BMI, and stuff. At this point I just really want to get back into the 130s.

Week 1 Goal: 142.4 (seems lofty, but I was at 143.0 for two days in a row at the end of the last 100)
Week 1 Actual Weight: 144.2- Hit 142.6 this week, the day before the end of our week, which was so close to my goal.

Day 50—07/03— 139.8 - Up 1.4 from yesterday for some reason. C'est ma vie lol. I was only .4 away from my goal yesterday.
Halfway Progress Report: …..Pounds Lost so Far: 4.6 - It doesn't mean too much too me because I am so up and down and all around. The start weight of the 100 I think was 3 pounds more than my end weight from the previous (I will have to check).
Day 51—07/04— 139.2 - Ending up with a short workday today, so I will try to get 3 more rows of the potato garden weeded starting at 3:30 and then give everything a good watering. 11-7 the next 2 days, and then a split on Monday, and then a day off : - )
Day 52—07/05— 139.8 - 5am weigh-in, so a bit heavier than I would like it to read. Yes, up way too early. 7:30 now and tired already but I know that I won't be able to go back to bed. Watering the garden was on my list of things to do this morning, but once it got light I saw that everything was wet and that it is still raining. Rain makes things grow much better than what comes out of the tap. I am having a lovely morning so far, wish that I could stay home all day, but can't. I will putter around this morning and there is stuff that I can do in the yard/garden in the rain : - )
Day 53—07/06— 140.6 - Of course not happy with this. Work was very busy yesterday and I took lots of food with me including my granola/yoghurt thing, but only managed my 6 strawberries. Rainy days are always busy at the Indian restaurant. I must eat my granola/yoghurt before work today. Quite enjoying my morning so far. Ecch Sunday morning is an hour of Classical Music on the radio from 7-8am. Ravel today : - )

Day 51—07/04— 167.8 - Maybe its a good thing I had no holiday plans...ha, ha! Just kinda snacked for breakfast and lunch. Not sure about dinner....will play it by ear. Keeping my goal this week conservative.
Day 52—07/05— 167.2 - Definitely going swimming today. Should be nice. Anytime I can exercise and not sweat, I am happy...ha, ha! Leftover potatoes and soft cooked eggs for breakfast. Will probably be a snack by the pool for lunch. Dinner...not sure yet.
Day 53—07/06— 167.8 - Well, the swimming was a bust. Won't be going there again. The air temp was 87⁰...the water temp was 88⁰! I ended up feeling sick and my blood sugar spiked as a result....can't have that. My SIL is crazy....she insists that the thermal cover be kept on when the pool isn't being used so the water doesn't cool off. I told my brother I won't be swimming there until maybe fall. 🙄 Skipped breakfast, have to decide on lunch.

@dawnbgethealthy Thank you, and I'm sorry that you've had it too; it's great that you have a physio who knows what to do! May it never happen to you again. This might be my fifth time through, and the first time was in my twenties. Mine usually eases on it's own in a few weeks, so I avoid the body positions that trigger it. I hear you on dentist's chairs. Those hair washing sinks at salons are also trouble.

Well, I'm still off-kilter today. There are worse things, and it will pass. I went on a couple of outdoor walks at an easy pace yesterday. I'll so some standing mobility and flexibility work today, barre-style.
I'm still seeing a nice, gradual, downward trend with the weight. There's a sprinkling of yellow and red on my dashboard, and that's okay. I try not to let it happen twice in a row.
