Hi all! I wish I could say that I've been doing well, but I haven't. I don't want to get on the scale this week because I can tell by my clothes that I'm up again. Warning - TMI - I had a weird eating week last week preparing for a colonoscopy (which by the way was no big deal - even though I was pretty nervous about it - so if you are 50+ ... get your colonoscopy - mine was completely normal). I couldn't eat fiber all week - so had to completely change my diet for the week - no berries, no spinach, no oatmeal, white bread instead of whole wheat, etc. Then liquid only for almost 2 days - juice, popsicles, broth, jello. So weird to be eating all those sugary foods when I normally try to avoid them. I did lose a couple of pounds, but not the drastic amount that you hear about with 'cleansing'. The really bad thing is that after the colonoscopy I was starving, and proceeded to eat my way through most of a pizza, then chips and dip, then strawberry shortcake ... until I felt sick. But I didn't stop then ... I spent the entire Memorial Day weekend eating like that, so I'm sure I gained those couple of pounds right back plus more. Then yesterday I unpacked my summer clothes and almost none of them fit ... so that was a wake up call that I need to stop this bad eating and get back on track! So here I am again ....

Did you stay within your nutritional goals? no
Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? no
What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? got a lot of cleaning done
What would I have done differently? made bad food choices

    Sun - weeded - 60 minutes
    Mon - cleaning - 3 hours
Tues - 60 minutes body step
Wed - 45 minutes step and 30 minutes body pump
    Thurs - 45 minutes step
    Fri - 60 minutes step
Sat - 60 minute step, 45 minutes body pump

other goals - track WW points and actually TRY to stay under my daily points
get back into a good workout routine
    find a new WW meeting
    more veggies for snacks

Great job walking!!! I have a Fitbit. It is great for walking (not so much for the elliptical, Zumba, etc...) Before my fitbit I would use the Map My Run app on my phone to track my miles. Is walking how you lost all that weight?

Another good one- I love eggs! I've been eating egg whites and my friend said I should eat all of the egg because the yolk is so nutritious. I was worried about cholesterol and she said that the cholesterol in eggs helps raise HDL (good) and not LDL (bad) cholesterol.

here is an article to back it up.
