  • Good afternoon everyone!

Monday: 35 minutes of the Push Circuit 3 dvd and 25 minutes of the Core dvd.................300 minutes to go!
Tuesday: 35 minute HIIT on elliptical & 30 minutes on spinning bike..................................235 minutes to go!

Today was definitely a better day. I got right out the bed when the alarm clock sounded and got dressed and headed to the gym. I completed HIITs on the elliptical and spinning bike. I've already drank 8 cups of water so now i'm aiming for 12 today.

This group totally rocks. You all have set the bar really high so I hope I can withstand this pace.

Nola: How long are you going to be home? I know you're super excited to see your fam. I wish you safe travels.

Cnbethea: Great job w/the continued weight loss. How do you like Insanity thus far?

I knew you would you are such a great inspiration!!! I am so glad your apart of this group as well you all are very inspiring and it makes getting up and getting my workouts in easier!!

So far so good with insanity although I have started a few times before but never finished thats why I am on a mission this time til the end I never made it to mnth 2 before thats when I will feel a real difference!!!
  • If I can't track it I don't do or eat it! that's my first standing order. With that said, I pump out at 45 minutes of cardio alone every day, M-F and 35 minutes of strength training. I go hard and with all the extra calories burned I don't even feel its necessary to have a "Cheat day".

Monday - Elipitical trainer, 758 calories burned in 45 minutes
Tuesday - Stationary Bike, 454 calories burned in 45 minutes

This isn't counting my strength training but that averages to about 225 calories burned in 35 minutes. I'm moving and shaking baby!

That's what it is all about great job!!

Monday 11/8 60mins treadmill 20mins strength training (sit up, squats, biceps, etc)
    Tuesday 11/9 60mins on treadmill.

So did not feel like doing anything today, my quads were a little sore, didn't think I did that many squats to make the sore yesterday.

Mollie your so inspiring I love the fact you always have positive words of encoouragment and great messages to share I have you on several boards and your spirit shines through on each one keep up the great work!!!

Insanity is a beach body workout designed by Shaun T (who is as insane as Jillian if not worse than her) its a cardio base program filled with plyometrics, running, and some resistance training!! 63 days of hardcore sweating and transformation and I personally dont think it's as hard as the informercial looks but than again I have never made it to the 2nd mnth so I may be in for a treat!!!:noway:

It's mid week and if your week started off slow time to switch into high gear there is still time to meet our goals

    Good morning everyone!

Monday: 35 minutes of the Push Circuit 3 dvd and 25 minutes of the Core dvd.................300 minutes to go!
Tuesday: 35 minute HIIT on elliptical & 30 minutes on spinning bike..................................235 minutes to go!
Wednesday: 60 minutes of P90X Shoulders & Arms & 15 minutes of the Core dvd.........160 minutes to go!

I must say this board stays hopping with posts and the amount of exercise that is done. There's definitely no room for me to slack....LOL

Mollie: You are definitely the leader of the pack with the amount of exercise you complete and number of calories burned. Great job and thank you so much for the continued support.

Cnbethea: You're a bad, bad, bad girl if you don't think Insanity is tough. It definitely kicked my booty. I lasted until about week 7 and my knees could no longer take all the jumping. You definitely get your sweat on with this program so I'm sure you'll see the results you want if you stick with it.

Dianeg: Hope you feel better soon and rejoin us. You did a great job last week. Get your rest and regain your strength and come back better than ever.

Nola: You're ROCKING this challenge. How are you liking boot camp? How many ppl are participating and what kind of exercise does the trainer have you all doing?

Swinnie: Your workouts are awesome. I can't believe you do so many different workouts in the same day. I'm surprised that I'm adding an additional workout during the course of my day b/c one is generally enough for me. Great job!

A1schwei: Hope you feel better soon. The fact that you're doing any type of exericse is amazing so just listen to your body.

    Wed - 60 mins boot camp/ 640 calories + 40 mins turbo kick/ 400 calories ......80 mins/1160 calories to go....

SN looks like I gotta slow it down cuz my knee is starting to give me trouble.

@ choco: boot camp is going great. its been getting harder with the cool weather to get up early but I have been sticking to it for once. They do different things i'm bad at remembering haha but i remember running laps around the track, lots of abs, lunges (OUCH) squats, weights for biceps and triceps, etc.

@ Mollie - thnx for the encouraging words. I'm definately trying to mix it up and switch my body into a fat burning machine haha

@ nisijam - i'm definately excited to go home and see my family. it is a surprise for my mom so hopefully she likes this surprise haha. i'm sure i will get spoiled with a lot of my mom's home cooking so i wont be able to turn it down. i only go home once a year so it will sure be worth all the calories haha

    Couple questions:
    1. has anyone found that they have been gaining or not losing with this challenge? my scale hasnt budged in these past 2 weeks and it almost seems like its wanting to go up. i know i'm not drinking enough water but i'm usually under on cals. have to re-evaluate what i'm doing wrong. my diary is open if anyone wants to check it out and offer some advice.

    2. i guess my body is not used to all the working out, sometimes twice a day. i try to be very careful of my posture and form but right around the middle of the week (aka wednesdays) my knee starts to hurt. i know noticed this cuz i do kickboxing on wednesday nights and boot camp in the mornings so i'm not sure if its the combination of both in one day or whatever. i guess my question is what advice do u have for someone with bad knees? i dont wanna stop any of my workouts and i try to modify according to what hurts like lunges. i bought a knee brace and that seemed to help a bit except now its both knees not just one.

THANKS GUYS AND KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

Your going home is going to be the BEST gift ever...Moms are like that

I lost 0.8 last week...even with 2 naughty days...so, i feel like it helps...you may be holding fluids which is common when the muscles are repairing...the thing I notice most is the muscle toning and increased stamina...do you eat the exercise calories??

I say if you are feeling pain in your knees, you should back off on the high intensity cardio for a bit...looking at your daily list, you do a LOT of high impact...pain this body's way of letting you know something is WRONG...instead try to do pilates or yoga...the minutes still count

This challenge has really pushed me to step up my game. I can't believe I only have 83 minutes remaining in order to meet the challenge this week. I hope I can keep up this intensity. I am going to take it one week at a time so I don't get overwhelmed.

    Great job everyone!

I'll definately be able to log in and keep up with posts better so expect a nice update soon.

oh and I know what u mean about this challenge I cannot believe I'm so far along either. If i just get one more workout in I can complete the challenge by tomorrow which is extremely exciting! woo hoo!

Saturday I leave new orleans at 6am and arrive at home around noon so i'm sure with the traveling i will be exhausted plus catching up with everyone, i doubt i'll be able to get any workouts in. So its really important to get that workout in tomorrow.

Have a great day ya'll and please comment on my two previous questions, i wud love ur feed back

Nola: Since you would have completed the challenge by tomorrow getting in another workout wont be necessary but I know when I travel I use my airport walk as exercise. Atlanta's airport is so big there's a transit system in place to take you from one concourse to the next. For what ever reason I'm usually at Concourse D so to walk from the security checkpoint to my concourse is about a mile and some change so I power walk instead of using the transit system. I get a great quick workout b/c I'm usually pulling a heavy carry on bag and trying to walk as possible.

Since I too have bad knees I find myself modifying moves if the workout becomes bothersome. I think you told me about some capsules that helped. You might want to try them again. I must admit I tried it for a very short period so I have no clue as to whether it is beneficial.

    Have fun at home.

    Nola,
Good job on listening to your body. It is good to know I am not the only one with knee issues and I too have to make modifications when necessary to exercise as long as I can. Enjoy your trip home! And Kim is right about the airports being a good walking track for sure.
    __________________________________________________________________________________________________

Regarding me.....:-) I know I have not posted this week but I am working out. Had a busy week but not to bussy to workout. I have went to the gym everyday so far except Monday. I am going tomorrow for 4 and weekend we will see. I have not totaled my minutes up but I know I did 70 or more min each day so I know I have at least 210 min so far. I am going for the 360 again so that leaves me approx 150 min and 3 days to go!

I will post as soon as I can. I have to try to keep my job and November is our year end so I will not post as regulary as I did in October. Cherio everyone!!! Keep jiggiling and wiggling!! BTW - I lost 2 pounds on my weigh in yesterday!
