    Welcome newbies.

    That's because, they know if they ignore it long enough, we will get up...quite simple actually...I do that with the dogs now

    Yea, that is what I was thinking. Even on the days that we "pre-arrange" for him to get up with her in the mornings, he'll lay there until I am already awake and might as well get up with her anyway. I guess he makes up for it by doing the dishes and laundry. :laugh:

    Sorry you aren't back to 100% Robin. :flowerforyou:

    So I caved last night. I got a cleaning bug and scrubbed the house and cleaned all of the nooks and crannies. It reminded me of my Thursday night routine when I was single. Go to the gym, come home, clean the house, drink a few beers while I was on the phone with my best friend in Cali.

    So I sent the boyfriend out for some beer.

    Mon 0
    Tues 0
    Wed 0
    Thurs 24 oz Budlight

    Maybe I'll only have 2 glasses of wine tonight to make up for it. hmmmmm

    It's skinny margarita night for this lush...woo hoo...I held strong since Monday, it's only 3 days...but, seem like FOREVER.

    Monday, bottle of red
    Tues - Thurs., 0 drinks
    Friday, bottle of skinny margs (hopefully, that's it). I don't want the margarita flu tomorrow. It can sneak up on ya.
    Sat, Sun., 0 drinks

    Hopefully, Monday will show something of a loss...

    Yes, that margarita flu is the worst!!

    Natasha, my husband will get up with the kids, but I'm so used to getting up with them, I don't stay in bed much longer...then he uses that for his excuse to not get up with the kids. :laugh:

    I stayed at one cider last night...I'm sure I'll make up for it this weekend, though. We're probably going to have the first fire pit night of the season on Saturday.

    Sunday=2
    Monday=0
    Tuesday=0
    Wednesday=0
    Thursday=0

    Good Morning all,
    Well, today is day 2. I didn't do very well yesterday on day 1. I made it till about 7:30pm and got bored (and lonely, I'm single, oh yay....) and ended up going to the store for my Chardonnay. Had 3 or 4 glasses. The good news is thats about HALF of my usual amount. So I guess I should give myself credit for that and try harder today.
    I slept pretty good and I'm getting my butt to the gym to help work off last night wine. Did anyone else get off to such a dismal start??

    last night I had leftover lasagna and the leftover wine from Tuesday and I think it was bad, I still drank a small glass though-you know how I can't abide alcohol neglect!
    Happy Friday, Lushies! Weekend plans? Not much for me. I was going to hang out with a pregnant friend on Saturday so I could avoid drinking altogether. I think DH wants burgers and beers tonight though!

    Wow, this is the perfect thread for me for me to vent! I seriously need to curtail my consumption - last night I went to a baseball game with some friends. We were going to have a beer at a bar and then head to the game, since beers at the stadium are EXPENSIVE!

    We ordered FOUR PITCHERS between the FOUR OF US...good gracious! Of course, we ordered chicken tenders and sliders, and then had another beer once we got to the game! Based on my guestimation logging for yesterday, I went 1,600 OVER my goal yesterday! Oh. my. god. Logging that was so painful, but I know I need to keep myself accountable. Plus, you know I didn't get up to go to the gym this morning! I HAVE to force myself to go after work, even though it's Friday and I'll just want to go hooooome.

    The days I don't drink, I am almost always under my goal. The days I do (about 1 or 2x a week) I go catastrophically over. I need to make a change.

    I know the beers were close to 200 calories a piece, so I need to at least swap that for vodka clubs, which I usually drink. I just hate having to stick out in social settings where everyone is going to drink beer because $12 pitchers are the special that night and I have to say "I can't drink beer because I'm on a diet." But, I guess I need to. Oh, and I guess not having SIX drinks wouldn't hurt either...

    When I think about how I used to do this and worse in college, it's a wonder to me how I don't weigh even more. Thanks for listening, lol!

    I'm with ya!!! I'm all about the beer specials lol-- instead of drinking a reg beer, why not try a light? I'm all about Mich Ultra or Bud Select-- hell I'll even drink the Bud 55! All of which are usually on the pitcher special :drinker: at least where I live!! :) By drinking any of those you're already cutting your calories in HALF!
    (Me on the other hand would probably justify getting another pitcher though because its half the calories! HAHA :laugh: )

    Okay, I'm going to confess something...

    My husband and I are cheap assh0les. (We're both teachers...haven't seen a raise in 3 years...cost of benefits keep going up, blah, blah, blah.) So, when we travel (so we can drink on the plane) or when we go to sporting events, we smuggle vodka and rum in my purse in the little "5 Hour Energy" bottles. :laugh: They're each about 2 ounces, and I can it 6 in a quart sized bag so I can take it through airport security. So, my guide to cheap drinking!

    OMG, that is a genius idea!!!! Boyfriend and I were just talking about smuggling in stuff last night. The last concert we went to we spent WAY too much money on beer (and that was WITH pre-drinking). We may have to try this next time! Thanks Amy! :drinker:

    You're right, Michelob Ultra is quickly becoming my new favorite! I feel like it tastes so much better than MGD 64, but I've yet to try Budweiser Select! Next time!

    Smuggling is definitely the way to go! If only for the fact that you can control what you'll be drinking in advance ;) That's how I'll justify it anyway!

    Keepin' it classy MFP :)

    I used to drink Miller Lite like it was going out of style, but since last september my husband has gotten me into craft beers, they are typically higher in alcohol and calories, GOD DAMN HIM :laugh: So now I make him split beers with me so I can try different ones!!

    :laugh: That's awesome!!! We used to smuggle a flask into the bars and when I would only order a diet coke, I'd say I was the DD. :blushing:

    The never wondered why someone else always ended up driving or we got picked up by someone else. :devil:
