My official weigh-in is tomorrow, so I'll post my stats then, if that's okay. Day 1 today, but I'll be taking it a little easy because I just got a tattoo yesterday, so my side is still a bit tender. I'll do all that I can though!!!0
-
Day 1 is done! It's been awhile since I did this video and I forgot how tiring it really is. I sent in my measurements but my starting weight this morning is 156.0

I am proud to say that I have finished day 1. AND I did 20 minutes on the treadmill at 3.5 afterwards. I'm extremely impressed with the fact that I was able to do all (modified) push-ups, and the lateral lunge/arm raise thingie with 2lb weights. I have a pacemaker and so that side of my chest is pretty weak. Not as weak as it was though, apparently!0
-
I'm in! I just started this morning! It wasn't as difficult as I thought, but the cardio part was though! And I did it with 3 pounds weight, I want to use my 5 pounds soon
Let's go!0 -
Ow! Just finished first day of 30 day shred...that was hard!
My calves are burning like crazy and I had a really difficult time doing jumping jacks since I am so large-busted, any tips/suggestions?0 -
I'm in!0
-
ill be doing mine when i get home today! I took measurements over the weekend and then of course ate to much, so my weight went up....i didnt do new measurements though, but it'll be close enough!
sw: 144.0
Bust: 37
underbust:31
waist: 29
hips: 39
fat %:20.7
didnt do the arms or leg measurements
i always have trouble with the push ups too as well as the lunges with the arm raises......the lunges are fine, but my arms are so weak apparetnyl! I use 5 pound weights though too0 -
I started this yesterday! Does that count
I took my measurements, but won't be able to post them until I get home. But I STRUGGLED through the first day, my knees and quads are killing me! Hoping it'll all be worth it though!0 -

one stat i wish i would have done before was a measurement right at the belly button... also, be sure to use the tape and measure a certain length from a given point each time for a more accurate result... ex. for arms, measure 3 inches up from the elbow crease... this way you're measuring the exact same spot every time!0 -
just made my hubby snap some pic`s so that I`ll have before shots0
-
I messaged Team leader my measurements but maybe I should post them also? Embarrassing, but oh well!
CW: 274 lbs
Right upper arm: 15.5 in
R Thigh: 33 in
Bust: 50.5 in
Underbust: 48.5 in
Hips: 58 in
Waist: 47 in0 -
First day down, I wanted to cry at 6 minutes! I persevered, and made it all the way - woot woot!
I used 2 pound weights, and hope to get my 3 pounders in the mail any day now. I did the modified pushups and but kicks.. The thing that hurt the must was the jumping jacks! When she said to go to the mat for abwork, I was like, YES!!!!!!!!!
And, I soaked my shirt in sweat!!!!!!!!!0 -
Well done guys!! It gets easier!
I just did day 1, I had a mix of 3lb and 5lb weights. Like most I did push ups on my knees. The side bends and arm raises are te worst part for me! Love the abs exercises tho!
My 8 year old son did it with me bless him! He had 1lb weights! Not that he needs to exercise he's a bag of bones!
I did a 4mile run this morning as well so hoping I'll get some nice results, if i can get enough exercise in! We shall see I suppose!
Good luck for tomorrow!!0 -
Great job everyone! day 2 tomorrow!!!0
-
Just finished L1D1 of the Shred
Man it was a workout! I was breathing hard and sweating! I started out using 3lb weights and then decided not to use any weights at all. Hopefully by day 4 or 5 I can start using my weights again.

Day 1 is done. I am disappointed in how few cals I burned, but I am happy that it is WAY easier than when I first bought it.
Am I supposed to send in measurements too? If so, I can cut and paste them.
Thanks!!0 -
I'm so glad we're in this together! I started 30ds a month or so ago and stopped after day 6 or 7 just cuz I started doing other workouts too. I'm sad I quit because that is just proof of my usual workout cycle Full mode and than quit. So I'm glad I'm here and starting over again with all of you! I did it of course with knee push ups, but I was able to get through the rest pretty well and was pretty sweaty by the end!0

woo hoo day one complete!
i burned more calories i think than what i put it in as, but id rather underestimate than over!
i also did pushups on my knees, and on the side lunges skipped the arms a couple times.....that one just kills me......i love the punches though, great core and heart rate exercise!
im wondering if im the only one that does this, but i play 30ds on my laptop and watch a dvd of a show i like on the tv in the background. according to by bodybugg, it doesnt seem to really change my calories burned (actually a slight increase as opposed to not watching tv). i think it helps me to focus more on something else on the TV rather than "omg i have 23 more seconds left of this effin exercise", esp when you're on day 5 or so of the same stuff0 -
day 2 done!
found it harder today as i was really tired... but i saw it through, although i dont think i put 100% effort in, prob about 70%!!
but i did the whole workout so that is a good thing
keep up the good work
xx0 -
Everyone is doing soo great. I'm happy for all of you or us I also modify some of the moves but we will get there I'm sure. I'll post the spread sheet tomorrow so if you didn't send your measuraments yet please do it Also some of you didn't send me all of your measuraments so when I post it tomorrow if you could just message me whatever is missing that would be great Thank you for being here and doing this with me0

I just joined MFP yesterday but I would love to join in on your 30 DS challenge for August. I was in bed last night and was thinking that I would love to start back up on 30 DS. A day late but better than nothing. Thanks!0
-
I had some extra time this morning so I finished the spread sheet and I'm going to open another topic as a closed group with the starting stats. We can all follow the new post. Thanks0

I do the reverse! LOL I watch netflix on my laptop(or my iphone if I'm down on the machines exercising) and have the dvd on the tv. Glad I'm not the only one!0 -
