hello lovelies! yesterday we earned 155 points (: speaking of points, the verdict is in and majority ruled. so! the system has been slightly altered. instead of miles counting for points, it is only going to go by time. 20 minutes of any cardio = 10 points earned. exercise and nutrition point values still stayed the same. not too big of an adjustment, which is good! seems fair to me. that's starting tomorrow, though! so, miles for thursday still count.

another change is the added rest day. each team will choose a day where we will be resting each week. this means that none of our workouts for that day will count toward points. instead we will earn points by drinking water. each cup of water that we report for the day will be worth 10 points, up to ten 8oz glasses of water each. the nutrition challenge for that day will also be up for grabs, just not the exercise challenge. that means each rest day we have the opportunity to earn up to 525 points! so take a peek at the challenges and let me know what day you girls are thinking you would like to do our rest day. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/308959-lots-to-lose-challenge-week-2

to report on how i did today, it was a bit of a slower day for me. i had a bunch of errands to run since i'm moving 3 hours away from home in less than 2 weeks now. super nerve wracking! but i got in some walking and i did both challenges.

    reminder for friday-
    Nutrition - Under Calories
    Exercise - 25 pushups (modified is fine - http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/exercises.asp?exercise=36)

yikes, push ups are NOT my favorite. i did fourty of them the other day, though. slowly but surely! breaking them down into smaller sets definitely helped out. so, i'm sure i'll be able to get 25 done for the team.

alright, girls! i'm sure you're sick of hearing from me for today. this got lengthy! keep up the amazing work.

Well yesterday I did the 5 miles, but after being out til 1:30 in the morning I never did the crunches. And I can't say if I was under my calories or not because I ended up getting subway for dinner while we were out and had a handful of some chex mix after the casino. Didn't log my calories while I was out and although with my 791 calories burned from exercise I should have been under calories, I don't want to take credit for something I'm not sure of. Sorry team, I'll do better today!

And push-ups are my LEAST favorite exercise, I'll really try hard to push through 25 push-ups but I'm terrible at them.. I'm lucky if I get 10 usually lol. I'll do them in reps of 5 or 10 lol

And it doesn't matter to me what day our rest day is on, I'd prefer it to be a weekend cause sometimes I give myself a rest day with no workout or a very short workout on the weekend, but any day is fine with me.

i think since hardly any of you girls are around right now we'll just go with karen's suggestion and take our water/rest day on sunday. next week we'll have to talk this over ahead of time so we're not last minute scrambling to figure it out, lol.

thursday we got ourselves 150 points. after week one, the lean green machines came out in first place. some good news? we weren't last! lol. yep, we finished second to last for week one. but, next week will be better, i know it! woot woot, go beauties!! :D

today i did 30 minutes on the bike, 20 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes strength training. also? i got those push ups DONE! i may have had to stop and rest more than your average person probably has to but i got them done.. and that's what counts! i also was under on my calories so there's a few more points added to our total. (:

    saturdays reminder-
    Nutrition - Under Sodium
    Exercise - 50 oblique crunches (http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/exercises.asp?exercise=4)

and i'm super sleepy tonight so i apologize if i forgot anything. night yalllll<3

Sorry team, but friday was a terrible day for me... I used it as a rest day, didn't get any exercise in and didn't really log my food. So I don't know if I was under calories or not.

Today I will be having the family here in a bit for an early dinner... of course they choose to bring pizza! so I'm going to have a slice and eat a salad. But tonight I will be watching ufc fights with friends and beer will be involved.. not good. I'm going to try my best to get my workout in to earn us some points, even if it's just a short workout... I'll need some extra calories today.

good luck.....have a great workout and that will mitigate some of the damage from the beer.
i also do that when we have pizza....just have one slice for a taste and then have a fabulous salad
off to the gym for a light workout

Sorry team. I have been M.I.A the past couple of days. My Godfather got diagnosed with end stage pancreatic cancer. It came really fast. Therefore, exercise and diet have been the last things on my mind. It is kind of crazy how fast you gain weight back when you let yourself go. Anyway, I am back to work tonight so hopefully I'll be back on track. It sounds like you all are doing a wonderful job, Hopefully I can pick my head up fast and get back into the swing of things. Sorry again.

I did not do any extra cardio today, but I will be under my sodium intake and I completed the oblique crunches! Extra cardio tomorrow for sure. Hope everything is enjoying their weekend.

I'm sorry to hear about your Godfather, it's completely understandable that food and exercise is the last thing on your mind. Life happens and sometimes we have to deal with it, the important thing is learning to pick right back up from where you left off.
