Hi Jeffrey. glad you had a great trip. Can hardly wait to hear about it. You think you will hit the 70 lbs lost this week.?

Elli That sugar free hot chocolate How many calories does it have. I have been on this 100 caloie meals per hour and that sound like a good thing to have on hand. This is my third day and my tummy seems to like it just fine. Except the hour roll around too soon. I just had a yogurt and fruit and here it is almost 25 minuets and time to eat again. I hould round out with about 1400 calories a day on it. I am eating a well balance meals and it seems to be helping my Blood sugar too. I may have to switch that and have a 200 meal every two hour. That should work better My next meal will be hummis and croackers Do you have any good 100 meal ideals for me.

Barbie--- I leaving off the creamer in my coffee now too. A big Congrats on your weiht loss. You and Jakes are a very outstanding couple and love you both. Love reading about your life. Sure hope some of it rub of on to me.Keep a posting here.

Phoebe--- are you off on the road yet. Things are really slow there. In fact everywhere. It break my heart to hear about all of these people that have lost their jobs and are strugling so. Can't evenfget the Med. help that they need.

Jake---You did a fine job on your weight loss too. Proud of you.

lafla---How is Gregg's house coming along? You have such a fine looking family. I was looking for the picture of your boys but I guess when My computor crash I lost it.

Big G----Hi sweetie, So glad you are posting again. Love hearing from you.

Beth---Have a wonderful day. looking forward to hearing from you again. Do sen me your address somehow and I will send you some of the Gourmet on the go meals that I have on hand. Today I am going to put some in my salad If I can measure out 100 calories.

GOOD MORNING....It is a beautiful Spring morning here in Central California...will be in the 80's later today.....

Well the weight is up a few pounds this morning...so the ice cream, pasta, pizza, iced animal crackers etc.etc caught up with me  But I know they will be gone by next Monday..because all the goodies are gone from my house...but so is the sweet little toddler who was eating them with me... But we did eat salads and veggies...and the pasta was whole wheat so it could have been worse.

Not much going on with me today...just doing house work.....

My great granddaughter was so much fun...but boy did she keep me on my toes...she is very active...and loud  loves to sing and talk at the very top of her lungs...

She will be back in early summer....for 4 weeks....

Hope everyone is having a good Monday...:flowerforyou:

Yes, Biggramma, it is a good Monday!!!
I saw my first hummingbird of the season this morning.. I make notices to put on the bulletin boards at the mail stations here. Just got them done.
Thanks for all the tips on the arthritis meds. I found out that Celebrex and the one my in laws took- Feldene- are in the nsaids category. Since she is taking aleve anyway, she is doing what she can for it. She may have to up her dosage. And I read about a type of tendonitis that can cause the kind of pain she is having.. I've got to tell her about it and the suggestions for it. I'm going to send a package to her this week, I will add a bottle of glucosamine sulfate- by the way, Jim's doctor told him to get sulfate instead of chondroitin, I don't know the difference, but it helps him.
The eye doctor said Jim should not do anything about the cataract yet.

We are entering our 'not really spring yet' weather.. it happens every year.. down below freezing and our azaleas are just blooming.

Elli, you got a lot of good advice, glad you took it, and I won't say more!!

We spent a bundle at Petsmart, but we enjoyed it.. it was a warm day, everyone was out with their pets, and they were celebrating the grand opening, several animal shelters/rescue groups had dogs and cats there. I think several were adopted. I wanted all of them, of course.. I love 'mutts', and there were some cuties, even a puppy that looked like Marley.

Today, Jim has a pedometrist appt, tomorrow, he has a fasting labs appt/physical exam for the VA
At least we are getting some good things done during this long time off.

I forgot most of what I was going to say.. that's me!!
I weighed, I was up a pound, not really a surprise, but it made me more aware and that is good. So when we ate out, I had soup and salad, not all you can eat, and it satisfied me. Tortilla soup, spicy and pretty good, a bit high in sodium, I'd guess.

Lafla, that is sweet that Neil thinks it is his turn to move out coz his brothers did it.. I love big families, don't you? I've seen the walk in tub ads, that sounds like a good idea, and it can still be useful for everyone, great way to soak your feet!!

Sandy, I think Marie is the exception on cataract surgery, I don't know of anyone else who had problems, I hope so anyway!!

Elli, busy girl, you know what i think? You may have a lot of snow right now, but when it all melts and spring arrives, you will have springtime in COLORADO!!! That kinda makes up for everything, doesn't it??

Jeffrey, glad you are home, how did it go? yep, we were baking in the sun, then whamo.. cold again.

Beth, hope you are having a good day, night or whatever it is.. hahah.. I have no idea..keep us posted, we love hearing from you.

Marie, where did you get the 100 calorie per hour plan? I'd like to read up on it.. sounds interesting.

I've got to take some measurements for a wallpaper border, it is on ebay, the auction ends in an hour or so, better scoot

    Good Afternoon!

Yup! We are back! Samantha is going to be in the next pagent until June. I will keep you all posted. Sorry my info sounded like it was very soon.

The weather was great! Gatlinburg was busy. The trees were blooming and the tulips were up. My family has it's roots there so I have been there many many times. It is always a great trip. It did cost me 3 Coach purses! Ouch! Our car got great gas mileage. 34 to 36 on the interstate.

Amanda came home with us. It is great having her in the house. She informed me that she would be doing some cooking. I will keep you posted on that project!

Barbie- I get my new cat Saturday. "Joe", long haired, black. Congrats on the 2 pounds! Wonderful!

PJ- Good to hear from you. Hope you both are doing well.

Marie- I want to see you lose 1 pound this week! It will "double digits" for you then! I hope to break the 70 make either this week or next. I did lose another inch around the waist. Down to a 33/32 now so the program is working. I am well pleased with it.

BG- You need to rest up for the next visit!

Sandy- It does seem like this winter will never end! The end of the week looks a litlle better but not great. Oh well, it will get here sooner or later.

Everyone else- Let us know what's new!

I got my work outs in when we were gone, but not as intense as they are at home. The hotel did not have a good selection of equipment, but it was better than nothing. BUT! I did eat very well too!

I hope you all have a great day! Take care and enjoy life!

Good morning all you wonderful seniors! AND Beth, well, good EVENING Beth! I'm talking to my son online right now too and i know it's night time over there.

Wow Jeffrey - 33/32 waist - that's SMALL!!!!!! You've done such a great job! Glad you had a great trip. Sorry you had snow at home - but it'll all be gone soon - like Phoebe was saying - it really WILL be spring soon. The moisture is a good thing. It feels today like it's starting to thaw out here. How's Joe doing??????

Phoebe - don't you just LOVE Petsmart???? The fundraiaser we have to reschedule now is at Petco - i'm afraid i may have to pick up some new dog stuff!

BG - glad to hear you're back on program - sometimes when you've been eating all that "bad" yummy stuff it's hard to stop!

I had a good food and exercise day yesterday, but still didn't lose anything this morning. It's ok - i'm not going to beat myself up over it. I'll lose this week.

Marie - the hot cocoa is only 25 calories and it's good. It's just the Kroger brand. I think having to eat every hour would be hard.

Ohmygosh Barbie - the weight is just melting off you! I'm so glad your hard work and dedication are paying off for you that way!

Hi Sandy - i'm just actually working out in my office today. Did the final electric walk through this morning and now the electricians are busy putting the electric wiring in the NEW part of the house. The old part is all going to be done by my friends and i. THEY know what they're doing.......lol, i'll just do what they tell me to do!

this afternoon i have the dentist again, and have to take my car in for oil change and hopefully will get to the gym!

Everyone have a great Monday! It's a new week!!!!!!!! elli

Phoebe, you know me I found it in last week Woman's Worlds Mag. April 13 edition. It is not a crash diet you just spread your meals out more. I am eating 1400 calories of good clean food a day.Which My diabetic Dr. want me to be on.So far my blood sugar is liking it too. I am keeping a close watch on it. The article said a couple of ladys who are fiends are on it and one lost 7 lb the first week and the other one lost 10 lbs the first week.I just have lunch of 2 oz grilled chicken some steam carrots and couple slices of ciucumbers Here in about 10 minuets I will have yogurt and fruit. And a glass of water:drinker: :drinker: I'm eating like caliecat. She wakes up or come in pretty often and have a bite of her food and back to sleep. However I don't go back to sleep, I get on the computer. I have to set my timer to remind me its time to eat/ You are surpose to do this every waking hour. But I cut it off after I reach 1400 which is around 8:30. I was down a lb this morning so I think it is a good thing. A doctor in Canada came up with this.

    See you guys later
    Love Marie

It is great hearing from everyone today, welcome back. :flowerforyou:

Marie, the pound did not stay off this morning, but I am not discouraged because at least I am losing a little at a time.

Wish I could work out like Barbie, but I think I would faint.

Kind of just chilling out today, I did my 45 minutes of eliptical but other than that not doing too much today. I do have to get some Easter Cards in the mail today and go to the bank but right now my husband has a repair man here fixing our pump and back up pumps to be sure they are ready for spring storms.

Everyone is doing such a great job with their weight and with keeping positive, what a great bunch of people we are.

Hi Sandy, you have a basement. Is that what you need pumps for? Lafla had a backup in her basement from the city lines and what a mess she had getting it all clean up Of course we don't have basment down here.. But we have plenty of hot weather here.

    Have a good day.

Good afternoon everyone! I have, again, been wasting my day watching curling!! Here is an url to tell you about the sport, Elli, in a much better way than I could. http://www.mycurling.com/ Hope it works for you. It is a great game.

Sandy -- Yeah for your grandaughter! Hopefully I will, one day, get some grand babies!! Not like I haven't hinted enough. :ohwell: We have 3 sons, the oldest is married and the youngest is in a committed relationship, hopefully we will have a wedding soon. Neil is in the middle and is 30! I am kind of a step behind getting to know about your families. We did, indeed, have a flood awhile ago. We now have a sump pump and hopefully will not go through that again. We had lived here for over 15 years with no flooding, guess you can never be too cautious. I blame it on the town not monitoring properly. They have since improved the drainage system. Hope you don't have a problem.

Barb -- Way to go on the loss, you deserve it after eating so well while away. Not many can go away and lose weight! I completely agree with you, there is no place like home! I love my house and yard and the family close by. We got a seed catalogue in the mail so must be time to think about my yard!

Elli-- Good for you, getting right back on the eating plan. Good luck at the dentist. I have a real dentist phobia but have a new dentist and seem to be less anxious. Good thing, I have a cap to be done in the very near future. :grumble:

Jeffrey -- sounds like you had a nice break from routine and a great holiday. Good for you keeping on your program!! You folks are a great incentive.

Phoebe -- Sounds like you are having some animal fun! I mean that in the friendly animal way! How nice to see a hummingbird already. I love when the birds come back.

Marie-- Sounds like you are enjoying your new diet. I eat every hour too, but won't share what I eat (my bad, as the kids would say). How is your garden coming along? Are your tomatoes out yet?

Have a wonderful evening. I work tomorrow, so will be back if I can but it will likely be late. I work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Take care and keep smiling. Gayla

We're watching opening day of Mariners baseball  Jake is a huge fan and I enjoy watching sometimes, too. We've been to a few games but It takes all day and a lot of money and someone to watch the dogs so we don't do it often.

I think I'm going to make a new rule for myself
If I want to get on the computer and connect with all of you, I have to drink 8 ounces of water first.    That should get me to drink a lot of water.  :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:

Sandy, I think one reason that my weight is coming off fast is that I still have a lot to lose. I want to learn a lot from you and the others who are closer to their goals about what to expect when I have 10 pounds to lose instead of 35. I also don't have all the family events a pressures that everyone else seems to have. I am impressed with your 45 minutes on the elliptical. When I tried it at the gym, I couldn't last more than 25 minutes.

Marie    you are such a great encouragement to everyone---you're like how we all wanted our mom and sisters to be:heart::bigsmile: Your 100 calorie meals sound like fun and a challenge. How about a big salad as one of your meals----a ton of spinach, tomato, peppers, radish, onion, carrot with spray dressing should be close and under 100 calories.

Biggramma---glad you're back on track.----your family pressure to eat different came in a very small package---you'd better get prepared for your GD's next visit---she'll be a little older and a little more energetic. She sounds like a lot of fun:bigsmile:

:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: Jeffrey---welcome to Joe. My cats, Bernie and Haifa send their regards and congratulations to him on finding a great family:flowerforyou: Haifa was abandoned as a kitten and Bernie was born to an abandoned cat so they know how it feels to get saved into a loving home:heart::heart: congratulations to you on your slim new waistline---I'll bet you lose that next pound very soon.

Elli:flowerforyou: I'm so glad to hear more news of progress on your house and that you've got some professional help on the electrical----wiring can be dangerous so it's good to have someone who knows what they're doing:bigsmile:    I hope you're done with the dentist for awhile
I get through my dentist visits with a lot of prayer and meditation and gratitude when it's all over:laugh:

Gayla---more curling today---lucky you:bigsmile:  maybe the end of the curling season will signal the beginning of spring and a chance to plant your seeds.

the pets are all home again and our family is complete. We took the dogs to the dog park where there were a dozen dogs. Sasha and Brandy sniffed all the other dogs and then ran off and played by themselves or kept rushing up to us as though they couldn't believe we were really together again. when the cats got home they rushed to back door to be let out----I guess they missed their yard more than they missed us.

I did two 20 minute rides on the bike and some dog walking on the hill---it's getting warmer here:bigsmile:

big hugs to all of you:heart::heart:

Hello again. just a few lines before bedtime

Lafla---So happy to see such a long post from you. We planted seeds and thankfully dthey haveen't came up yet for we are due for a freeze tonight. Jerry ddid get some tomatoes plants but didn't et them planted . so they will be safe tonight. I have some tomatoes strawberries seeds I started in the house.. these tomatoes are small and surpose to be as sweet as strawberries but have not put them outside either. I love getting nusery catologs and wish I had everything in it.

Barbie & Elli seen you two over on the clean eating thread. Good that it is back . I did try it for awhile but was not commited to it at the time. And drop out. I think I am doing pretty good on clean eating now. for the last 3 days anyway. I read thru my cookbook on it. I am ansious to see how this 100 calorie every hour work out. It was easier today. I found a site that listed a whole bunch of 100 snacks all healty ones too so made me a copy of it. I have a dr. Appt. in the morning and will take 100 cal. serving of prumes in a small snack bag and some hummis [ love that stuff ] and wheat crackers in another bag And some water along for you never know how long you will be. And I also plan on going to walmart. to do a little shopping. Also I will carry a fiber one bar along. . I was going to have some 100 pack popcorn today but it had way too many carbs for me.

Yeah Jeffrey what a small waist line you have there. I am doing my best to lose that lb. I have until Saturday for My WI. but i Have to weigh every morning and at night for the nurses to keep an eye on my body fluild on this monitor scales. Will let you know what it says in the morning. It is so hard for me to lose.

Everybody else have a good night. Marie

    Good Morning Everyone!

Up and at em'! Gloomy and cold here again today. It's a good day to work! I have meetings all morning for next years work plan. My daughter cooked for us last night. She made a spicy salmon that was really very good. I am having it for lunch today too.

Beth- Anything that breaks up the routine and still provides a good workout is fine. I like a lot of variety in my program. I really like yoga. Anything that gets the heart rate up and moving will burn calories. Have you tried any of the Jillian Michaels exercise dvd's? Billy Banks "Ti Bo" is good too. There are many to choose from. Sometimes it just takes a bit to find one that you like and that pushes you. I might be able to suggest a couple if you tell me what you are really tageting. Weight loss, cardio, muscle strength, etc. The main thing is just to keep at it! You are doing wonderful, so you have done a tremendous amout right! Keep it up!

Everyone else! What's new for today? Do a random act of kindness!

They have four vehicles park in the small drive way to her house. So have to wait and see.

I am off to the docter this morning to see what my blood work is. My weight is coming down on this eating every hour. I am please with the results so far. Saturday is my WI day. Will wait till then to report on my lost if any.

Good Morning, it is sunny and 40 today, but they are saying 60 for Easter. Yipee!!

Hi Beth, I use the hoola hoop on the Wii Fit occasionally and it does work you out. I would go with Jeffrey's advice, what he does works for him.

Jeff, so what would you suggest for a flatter tummy, theighs and butt? I try to do the eliptical for 45 minutes at least 3 - 4 days a week, then I try the Wii Coach which is arobic floor exercises. I also do about 25 sit ups when I do the eliptical on this little machine we bought. Let's remember that I am 67 and I understand it is harder for me but is it possible? We won't even talk about cellulite, I don't think there is a thing I can do for that except for maybe surgery. :noway:

Our Easter plans are Mass in the morning followed by brunch at the country club we belong, (social membership only). After that we will just stay home with our puppy, who is not too doing well.

Everyone have a great day today and I will be back to see what's new in your lives today. :flowerforyou:

Good morning....it is 63 already this morning...but rain is suppose to be coming....it was in the low 80's yesterday.

Today I am going to do some errands...Like going to Michaels to look for some spring flowers for my Easter Table.

I am fixing a small dinner for my son and myself......My grandson has to work at Tahoe Joes...that is a restaurant..so he may eat there...especially since he does not eat pork...

I will be fixing a small ham (very small because I do not want leftovers) potato salad, deviled eggs, green salad...and I don't think there will be dessert unless it is fruit......This will be the first Easter dinner like this that I have eaten since starting my weight loss journey in January of 2007. I have lost almost 60 pounds and one little dinner is not going to hurt me...

    Have a beautiful day..:flowerforyou:

    Good Afternoon!

BG- I agree! Enjoy your dinner!

Sandy- I will try not to get too wordy! LOL Lunges are great for thighs and gluts (butt muscle). When you do them don't over do them! You should "feel" them when you are done but you need to be able to walk! There are a lot of lunge variations. Stick with the basic ones. They work. You should try to do them everyother day. There are a lot of good web instructions for them. I happen to like Men's Health they have a lot of video's that you can down load or just watch that will help you with the form. Don't worry about going too deep into the lunge at the beginning, work into it. It is very very difficult to just focus on abs. I know from first hand experience. Concentrate on your core. Strength building is wonderful for this, too. I do some sit ups but I prefer crunches of different types. Again there are a lot of good web sites for assistance and form. Don't over do but do push yourself. I am a real believer in Yoga. It provides some of the best overall fitness help that there is available. I highly recommend it for overall fitness. Another good alternative is to get with a trainer. Go a few times with your goals in hand and memorize what you learn and what he/she teaches you. It can really save you a lot of time. You will learn the correct form and the correct amount of reps. The correct form on these exercises is critical to avoid injury and to get the maximum results for the time spent. Results can happen relatively quick for legs and gluts, but abs take a while. Again, if I had to pick just one program to use for health and fitness, I would pick yoga. But that is just my humble opinion. When you go to your doctor next time ask him or just call their office and leave the question. Most docs that I know love questions like yours. They get to answer a preventative question rather than a fix it question. I would start there and go forward. If you want me to I can research some web sites for you. Just let me know!

Marie- We are having my wifes brother and mother up for Easter dinner. Very low key and just the 4 of us. This is the first Easter that Sam or Amanda either one will be home. I am not liking that thought much! The cats will eat well! LOL

    Take care everyone!

Thank you Gayla for the curling website - that looks like a cool game! I've never even heard of it before!
You're like me - no grandbabies yet. I only have 2 sons - but the oldest is married and the younger in a committed relationship - they're so young, 21 and 22 but have been together since like 16 and 17! And were you talking about dentist phobia?????? OH - the absolute WORST!!!!!!! I always say i'd rather give birth to triplets than go to the dentist! Yesterday i got the first of at least 2 (i need 5, but hopefully will just do 2 now) temporary crowns. ugh........pretty sore today.
oops - the power's going off, i'll have to finish later!

    Hi All,

Thanks for all the good advice Jeffrey. In the arobic program I do, it does have lots of lunges so hopefully they will help. I will do some research on the net and come with some videos that will show me if I am doing the lunges correct. I checked out the site you mentioned and watched the skinny little young thing that did lunges and I am pretty sure I am doing them right.

I also have a fear of the dentist or at least I used too. I not only take novacane with dental work but also nitros gas which puts me in lala land. I don't feel a thing that way.

BGamma, your dinner for Easter sounds great and you should eat as much as you want. We are going for brunch and I plan on eating a lot. I gave up all sweets for lent so I will probably over indulge in sweets. I will make it all up Monday, but hey I have been so good for so long.

Marie, it is probably good that you didn't have bread for the ducks, they say that bread is not good for them because when the water hits the bread it swells up and can make them sick. Now, I am not an authority on this, but someone once told me that. It is better to give them seed or crackers, but seed is best.

Making a beef roast for dinner, probably with a healthy rice and salad. I still have a lot of calories for today so it should be fine.

Will check in later.

    Hello, everybody,
It is a beautiful sunny day here. Jake played golf so I got to have the house to myself for quite awhile so I did a 20 minute workout with my old FIT-TV exercise videotape, then rode the exercise bike for 45 minutes and watched a good TV show, then played my favorite music loud, then gave one room a thorough cleaning and watched TV at the same time.

:flowerforyou: Beth---I knew someone who exercised with a hula hoop---they’re tricky and I was never very good at it, but you’re fit and agile, so you’ll probably be great.

:flowerforyou: Jeffrey--- do you know any good exercise DVDs that have lively upbeat music (not hip-hop or heavy metal). I like to exercise to music. I’ve heard a lot of good stuff about yoga---thanks for sharing what you know----I know yoga would be good for me but it seems so slow and I like fast and loud stuff.

:flowerforyou: Marie—we don’t celebrate Easter so we don’t have to worry about chocolate bunnies or a big dinner at someone’s house. We celebrate Passover and will spend over a week modifying what we eat because we can’t eat any grain products except matzo crackers. We used to buy a leg of lamb and eat lamb in great excess. This year we’re going to buy lamb chops and keep the portion small.
I hope your blood work turns out good---it should after all your healthy living.
We have ducks in the park where I take the dogs, but there are signs saying not to feed them.

:flowerforyou: Sandy---your exercise routine sounds pretty ambitious---I think you must be in really great shape. I’m sorry your puppy isn’t doing well. It is so hard to deal with a sick animal. They’re like our kids.

:flowerforyou: Biggramma---your warm weather sounds great---so does your Easter dinner with no leftovers---I guess you’ve learned a lot after two years of smart eating.

Elli---I got crowns last year and I’d had a bad cold and all I could think of was what would happen if I had to cough. I was so grateful to get out of there:bigsmile:

This was a great morning----45 minutes at the dog park in beautiful weather:bigsmile:

big hugs to all of you:love::love:

    Hi,
Hope you all are having better weather then afghanistan... its been raining since 5pm yesterday and doesnt seem to want to let up... there is water everywhere!

Barbie- no wii fit here but the hula is on order... this should be pretty darn funny to watch as I dont think I have that kind of hip motion...ummm EVER.

Jeffery- thanks for the advice...I am just looking for something to do and not have to walk to the gym (its not far but its more of a hassle to dodge trucks and people)

BG- I think your dinner sounds wonderful, enjoy it and be happy

Elli - I think I would rather go to the dentist...I have 2 kids and one at a time was enough for me since I dont believe in drugs I think I will just go to the dentist :)

Sandy - Sorry about your puppy, is he feeling better?

Marie - I think you have the address here now I sent a mass email to my family and just added you in there let me know if it doesnt work.

If i forgot to answer someone I apologize I once again didnt write a dang thing down....
and to the person who asked what laying concrete is or how ever that was phrased... I am an engineer so I am one of the ones out there who pours and places the concrete in the forms

My workout this morning was preempted by a PAX pick up (passanger pick up) at the terminal at 0200 I think the military likes to fly us in at Oh My Gosh its early just because they can :) I will try and make it to the gym after my construction meetings if I dont pass out first... I think if the Booty doesnt hit a chair or a bed before I get dressed I will be good...if I hit the chair or bed...well all bets are off.

I hope y'all enjoy your Week and Easter Dinner... I am sure there is something planned here but I am not sure what. I may have a name or 2 for the care packages as I have a few of my guys who I talked to last night who may not get anything from anyone...I will keep you posted as well as I can. Being the "old" person here and one of the higher ranking I try and make sure they are taken care of.

Be Safe and happy and enjoy some good food for me

    Good Morning Everyone!

I hope you all had a great evening!

Beth- nice to hear back from you! Let me know how the "hoop" works out! Be safe!

Barbie- if you can find them, the "Sweatin to the Oldies" has good music! some of my workout dvd's have a function that I can turn off the sound and voices. Sometimes I do and play music. don't under estimate the yoga for a full body work out. It can be very intense. It does move slow but that engages the muscles for a longer period of time. I do agree though that a good upbeat workout with good music really gets the heart rate moving!

Sandy- You are right on the folks on the web site! LOL They need fed! LOL Someone buy them a sandwich!

To the rest of you- Have a wonderful day! Don't sweat the small stuff! Enjoy!

Good morning everyone or good evening Beth! Sorry about the rain - i'm feeling SO much happier right now just because most of the snow is gone and it hasn't been freezing cold. Yesterday was so nice!!!
I used a hula hoop at my old gym - they were weighted. I think there were 3#, 5# and maybe one more? Did you order a weighted one? They were real pretty! colorful! I loved using them - and there were things you could do while you hula hooped! I used to do air speedbag punches! Hey! If you're THAT tired forget walking to the gym silly girl!!!!!! Give your body the rest it needs when and if you CAN! The first year my son was in Iraq at Easter i didn't send him an easter basket (you know - mr. macho Soldier boy and all) and he said "Mom! what's up? no Easter basket?????" So THIS year i sent him a ton of Easter candy and he said "Mom! thanks for the sugar death box!" I told him just give it all to your Soldiers and he said he did! too funny!!!!!! I know he's doing cross fit training over there - don't know if that's something you could do.......We have a bunch of friends from 506/101st who just came home from Afganastan. When do you come home Beth????

Barbie - I know - the whole dentist thing is NOT fun, but this too shall pass huh? I'll be so glad when it's all over. Right now i can't chew on the right side and i have a grand canyon hole on the left side............new weight loss plan right?

Marie - sounds like you're doing such a good job with changing what you eat. That hummus is great stuff huh?

Hi Jeffrey - i loved your "do a random act of kindness". I thought about it in the morning, but i'm afraid i forgot to conciously DO one during the day. I'm going to think about it today and try to do that! Oh, i LOVE tai bo! I can't do it right now 'cause all my dvds are packed away and i don't have anyplace to do it - but maybe when my house is done i can do that in the new basement!!!!!! Sorry you won't have Sam or Amanda at Easter - the whole them growing up and getting on with their lives can be hard on us moms and dads..........my 22 year old (Dakota) was here this morning to drop off a dump trailer (for the construction trash) and i was so overjoyed to see him! silly mom!

Sandy - how's the puppy doing? Is it the terrier on your pictures? I LOVE all the pictures of your family!
I do the same at the dentist - the nitrous AND the novacaine. I'm STILL a big baby about it tho!

BG - you just enjoy that easter dinner! OMG - you've lost 60 pounds! You so can eat whatever you want for a special day! We ALL can right?????????:drinker:

The new part of the house got all wired up yesterday, and the rest of the north side got sided. Dakota was real excited when he saw it this morning so that made me happy! And like i said, things are just so much easier when the weather is good!

Have a great day everyone!!!!!!!!! elli

Good morning from sunny Itasca!! I did lose a pound and have held it for two days, so I am recording it. Yeah for me. :flowerforyou:

Beth, sorry about all the rain, it is bad enough being deployed let alone getting drenced. :grumble:
We called the vet for our dog Freeway last night and he prescribed some valium. He seems to be doing better and is not so anxious and slept through the night. We have an appointment Saturday (his bd) with his vet, so we will see what the doctor has to say about his cancer. "One day at a time".

Jeffrey, too be young and thin again. I was never that thin though, but she does have great abs. My Wii Coach has yoga on it, I am going to try that on my next coach day. I thought the same thing as Barb, that it might be too slow moving, but if it works those places that I want I am certainly going to give it a try. Thanks Jeff. :flowerforyou:

Marie, how are things in Texas this morning?? How is the 100 calorie diet working?

Barbie, when is Passover? I know I should know that, but I am old, (that is my excuse and I am sticking to it). I bet your dogs love the dog park, I wish I could take mine to one. He has never been a dog lover so we never took the chance. Of course now it wouldn't work cause he gets too tired. :brokenheart:

BGamma, saw you on the game channel (just kidding the other game post). How are things with you?

Elli, you sneaked in while I was typing away. Yes, the picture is of my pup, he is actually going to be 10 on Saturday, so he has had a good life with us for all these years. His time is coming and although it is hard, I feel we gave him a happy life that he might not have had if we didn't rescue him. It sounds like the house is coming along nicely, maybe it will be done when your son comes home.
When my boys were in the Navy I would send them care packages all the time, they loved them.

Jake oh Jake where are you?

Lafla, how are you and how are things going with your son? Love hearing about your day and all that you do.
