    What's the deal with hot women being attracted to ugly *kitten* men? I see it everywhere. I think I'm going to let my face get run over by a truck.

    Lol, Right? I mean, the first one has a strange looking face, but he's far from ugly...

    I thought the same thing. I've definitely seen the hot girl/ugly guy phenomenon both in real life and on sitcoms, but I don't think either of them fall into that category. Sure they may not be at the same hot level as the women they are with, but neither are ugly.

    I think looks are important as far as initial attraction....but personality is KEY to why people are together. To me a sense of humor is necessary too.

    I think I'm more concerned with why hot guys are with women who have ugly personalities.

    I've seen hot guys and then I see their girlfriend/wife complaining about everything, being rude to waitstaff, being rude to other people in the store, being rude to the guy...I just wonder, "Doesn't that guy know there are some hot girls who don't have snarky attitudes?"

    Most women like guys for more than just looks anyway, I can spot a player a mile away, and I run the other way.

    I've been running a dating advice site for about a dozen years. So between my own real-life experience, second hand accounts from friends and family, and what I've witnessed on that site, I've made a lot of observations.

    And while I absolutely hate to make sweeping generalizations... I will say that heterosexual men are the WORST judges of what women find attractive. :laugh:

    Im amazed at some of the remarks and comments made by my male friends about the ladies....
    think we are just built differently...woman are more judgmental and hard on one another

    I think chemistry comes in many shapes and sizes and might not always make sense to us
    I for one find smarts very attractive (as I was a recruiter for actuaries for 8 yrs)
    but cant deny physical attraction in a relationship is important

    Perhaps women go more for brains than looks? And men do the opposite. Having a "hot woman" shouldn't be as much of a priority as having a compatible individual as your significant other. After all, their looks wont be around forever - their personalities will.
    Yes but you still have to sleep with that every night. Don't know how they do it.

    Funnily enough beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Besides, looks don't last.

    Seriously? One person's take on "hot" is another person's definition of "ugh".

    heck yeah! We all have different taste. How do you know the men are "ugly" maybe there personality makes them hot?? I see some handsome men with not so pretty wives, but I think that maybe HE thinks she is pretty, thats all that matters.

    Because nerds are sex-ay. And I like a guy who knows how to use a good sized...uh... Sense of humor. Size isn't all that matters but it takes a too long to get to england in a rowboat.

    In a nutshell it goes like this: The majority of men have good taste in women, while the vast majority of attractive women have bad taste in men. This is why for approx. 50 couples you see out in public, where the woman is above average looking and the guy is somewhere between butFugly/old and average you might see only one couple where the woman looks rather unattractive and the guy looks like he belongs in hollywood. I am thinking that most peeps have heard the saying: ProsTITution is the oldest known profession? I have been single and dateless for a bad many years as I am quite attractive BUT do not hail from even a middle of the road income family. I just wont lower my standards and go for the 200lbs + women and or the super old women that I seem to be a magnet for. So for the hoards of FEEmales that use your looks as leverage to land the richest guy you can find, just remember that you are nothing special and you will blow away like dust in the wind. At m0st the women out on the corners are direct about their escorting ways...

    It goes back to looks, brains, personality, and money most of the time....What one person finds "hot" is not what others may find "hot' Some women like money more than looks...some women like good personality more than money. It's all in what a person finds attractive. Have more of them and your batting average goes up.. :)

    He's not ugly (but he could do with losing the facial hair!). I really hate the way that society judges people by their looks and puts greater importance on looks than any other quality. Yes, it is nice to look good but I think it is far more important to be a decent person. Looks fade, a good character grows stronger.
