    Hi Ladies ~ Busy doing the training I was supposed to start last week but just couldn’t so not at my desk A LOT right now. At any rate, week is going good so far. DH had his CT scan on Monday evening as you all know and it was literally like 1 minute appt. In and out. He felt a little embarrassed that he was so nervous for it. But I understood and just supported him, we went to dinner after to celebrate getting through it. LOL Now we are still waiting for a call back from the doctor to find out “what” they see. Hopefully by this afternoon or tomorrow at the latest. He is on pins & needles but says he isn’t nervous. {Right}

Workout yesterday was Insane X after work (it was not nice out so I felt safe to go) LOL We did a very traditional 45 minute Insanity style class and then moved into the weight/pull-up area and did pull-ups, candle sticks (roll down onto your back - legs in the air, roll forward, pop up and jump) like in Cathe’s CCC workout. Then we did 30 burpees because one of the girls turned 30 in our class. I did NOT mention my Birthday. SHEESH, we would all be dead. JOKE, but still that would be a lot. This a.m. was F|S Push + Mixed Cardio and tonight I am going on a walk by the lake with my girlfriend (who has the 3 year old) we are still trying to get together so it will be fun, another girl I know is joining us too. Nice day today so it will be nice.

Laurel: Awesome job with your workouts! I am planning on doing F|S Pull + Cardio tomorrow; a little behind this week due to missing a couple “am” workouts, but I will get there. Excellent combo you did today …. WOWSA. Cannot believe you are still having snow, my goodness. Normal I suppose for that part of the country. I am sure you are so tired of it. I bet you are really off schedule with your DH being gone and calling in the middle of the night. Is he there for work then?

Thelma: Way to get in what you could due to the start time on your workout! I am always amazed that you can start your workout at that time. I am getting for bed and having a wind down or I will be too wound up to sleep. Good job! So great on your weather. We are having some nice sunshine again but just in the 60’s. So that is good.

Laurie: Good for you to take a break! I felt like I did that often last week . . . . felt guilty about it but at the same time we just had “stuff” going on and told myself it is ok. Funny you mention that about your DH. I almost (key word: almost) had DH talked into a short dog walk on Sunday afternoon but he didn’t go with us. He did say, maybe next time. The pulmonary doctor did tell him he needs to lose some weight …. YIKES. Said he was “fat” and needed to lose weight. So once we get past this next small hurdle I think he may do “something”. Here’s hoping. For his organs if nothing else.

Talk to you ladies tomorrow ~ Thanks as always for being here. Truly a favorite part of my day :)<3:)

Hi Ladies, no workout for me tonight. Horrible day at work which left me crying hysterically when I got home. It just never ends. I was the last one at work. My car was the only one in the parking lot!
I heard we hit 90 degrees today. I wouldn't know since I never leave the building due to lack of time.

Laurie, great job listening to your body when it needed a break, and for getting back on the workout train the next day!

Laurel, fabulous workouts! OMG, I can't believe you had a blizzard last night! I'll keep my fingers crossed you get those temps in the 60's next week!

    Hi Tami!

    Good night ladies!

    Morning Ladies,

After work I got in YW365 Focused Warrior. This morning was Body Revolution workout 4 followed by KCM's RAW Back. No walk this morning, it was raining, but DH was ready to go until he found out the sky was pour rain. Tomorrow morning for sure!

Laurel, Great job on those workouts! Got to love those metabolic workouts. I sure do hope that DH makes it a habit, but I think that I have to be part of it too. He will not go by himself, so with that in mind, the weekends will be a longer walk. :D Very excited to see what she comes up with for the ICE2, since I really love those ICE workouts. You are probably right about the shipping, and might depend on when she can get her crew together also. Your current weather sounds just like what we where going through before we got the 80's. Right now we are back to normal spring temps.

Tami, What a great job on your workouts and your class. Dang that is my favorite move NOT! I love that you are getting together with your friends for a walk, that will be a nice way to catch up with them. CT scans are super fast now, but I'm sure that your DH was very happy that you where there for him. I hope that you are able to get your DH to go for a walk at least, that type of movement isn't that hard. At least that is what I told my DH. :D

Thelma, I'm so sorry to hear that you had such a horrible day. So when do you go on your next vacation? I'm guessing that you will need one soon.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! I have much more energy today thanks to sunshine and a relatively good night of sleep (minus two phone conversations with DH who doesn’t seem to quite be able to get the time difference right :) ). For today’s workout, I did Burn Sets Chest, Shoulders and Triceps, and modified the shoulder sections to include overhead presses (two kinds) and front raises. Then, for the lower body work, I did the standing portion of Lean Legs and Abs, followed by the core work. This was more working the front of the legs than a true ‘push’, but I thought it would be close enough. :p For cardio, I did Cathe Live Advanced Step Choreography.

Tami, sounds like a tough Insane X class! Hope you were able to get in that walk with your friend. Sounds so nice! Looking forward to walking weather here soon. Yes, DH is in Asia for work. Thankfully this won’t happen too often in this job, so I think he is enjoying the travel right now. Hoping for good news for your DH.

Thelma, I am so sorry to hear about your day yesterday. You have been having a rough go lately. Like Laurie said, you need a vacation! I hope this trip you have planned will give you the break you need right now.

Laurie, darn about the rain! But it is great your DH was up and ready to go out. Hope that continues. Great workout and getting that yoga in. I did do some yoga late in the day on Tuesday and really enjoyed the addition. It was only 10 minutes, but it’s a start! They are forecasting close to 70 one day next week, so it definitely looks like this might have been winter’s last burst here.....or at least I hope so!

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, a much better day at work. It started very with me being very emotional and when I was talking to 2 female co-workers who can understand what I'm going through, I lost it. They felt so bad that they tried to get me to go work from home cause they didn't think I should be in the office in that state. I couldn't leave when I had meetings most of the day.
It actually ended up on a good note which gave me the courage to keep going at least one more day. One day at-a-time is what I need to keep reminding myself. Poor DH is worried about me. He sent me an email this morning suggesting we cancel our vacation so we can get the house ready for sale. Then we would rent a small house near his job and I would quit my job. I don't know that I can afford to give our vacation up at this point which is in 3 weeks!
Anyway, it's nice to know that I have his support and that I have a way out. I also talked to my boss and basically told him I am seriously thinking about quitting. He offered to take part of my responsibilities away which is great. This is an area I have no experience in so it's a good thing to get off my plate.
Not much time for a workout so I jumped on the treadmill for a quick walk.
Thanks, ladies for your support and for listening!

    Laurie, great workouts!

Laurel, another awesome combo today! so glad you were feeling more energetic! I don't mean to laugh about your DH not getting the time difference but my aunt does the same thing so your comment made me smile.

    Hi Tami!

Have a good night and a great weekend ladies!

    Morning Ladies,

Got home really late yesterday, so I wasn't able to do a workout. I'm by myself most of this weekend again, so I will get more yoga in. ;) This morning was Body Revolution Workout 3 and KCM RAW Front. DH and I got a longer walk in this morning between the rain showers. Still crossing my fingers at this point, but he seems to be more open to the morning walks.

Laurel, I just love the way you are creating your combos. How was that Advanced Step workout? Just the title makes me think it was complicated. :D I should have done what you did with just the 10 min. I'm looking at some youtube that are created for doing just before bed. I am sleeping really well, but wonder if that type of yoga would help on those days that I can't get something in. Enjoy those temps in the 70's while you have them, ours was short but we enjoyed it. We are getting lots of rain right now.

Thelma, You are a trooper for sticking out the day. It is nice that you had ladies to talk it out with. I'm glad to hear that you are almost to your vacation time, so that is good. You will need that break. Your DH is awesome to be that supportive of downsizing and letting you quit, that would be wonderful for you.

Tami, I hope all is well with you and your DH.

    Erika, Have a wonderful weekend.

    Have a great weekend,
    Laurie

Hi Ladies! Another good workout today. I did XT Burn Sets Back and Biceps, and also added three shoulder exercises (two from Burn Sets Shoulders plus three sets of upright rows). For the lower body section, I decided to hit the back of the legs, so I did the standing work from Butts and Guts. So good! For cardio, I did Cathe Live Cardio Core Circuit.....which doesn’t have anything like the crazy core move from the CCC DVD we have been talking about this week! :)

Thelma, I am so glad you have people you can talk to at work. And I am also glad you talked to your boss. The level of stress you have been experiencing for this past year is off the charts, and I, too, worry about your health. I am so happy your DH recognizes it and is trying to come up with solutions. I hope you can find some peace in whatever you choose to do. Anyhow, I laugh at my DH and his inability to figure out the time too....so don’t worry about finding it funny....because it is funny. :)

Laurie, I am looking forward to some good yoga this weekend as well with DH away. I am hoping to get some of my longer yoga workouts in while he is gone because I know it is going to be tough for me to get much in on the weekends through the summer. About the Advanced Step workout, one thing I like about Cathe’s live step routines is she doesn’t do any new moves. She uses combos from past workouts, maybe with a slight variation. But she jumbles things from different workouts. For example, the first combo yesterday was from Step Moves, the second was from LIS Low Impact Challenge....and I don’t remember the other two except they had moves from 4DS and Fit/Split. So since I am familiar with Cathe’s step DVDs, I don’t find myself staring at the TV wondering what the heck I am supposed to be doing! Anyhow, I have to tell you I am loving this month’s rotation. I love having two shorter and two longer strength workouts separated by cardio days. My body is loving it too! Thank you again for suggesting it!

    Tami, hope all is well.

    Enjoy the weekend.

    Hi Ladies ~ TGIF!!!!!

No workout yesterday and no news from the pulmonary Dr. His regular doctor did look up the results and it appears as a “fat pad” which is basically a fatty tumor but lymphnodes are enlarged so most likely they will want to do a test on that. That is all we know. Very brief. He is beyond frustrated and stressed now because the Pulmonary doctor hasn’t bothered to read the results and/or call him after leaving several messages like he had instructed Brett to do. So we wait …… and go through yet another weekend. UGH.

I did get in a nice Spin workout on Wednesday eve instead of the walk with my girlfriends. They both had things come up. One has a 3 year old and the other is in the midst of wedding plans. I am going to her shower this Sunday. This a.m. I just did a quick KCM Trim & Tone Intervals, tonight will be Spinning.
Did you all see the NEW Cathe workouts coming up! Of course I will be jumping right on this series as well. How can I not!?!? They sound great as always.

Laurie: Great job with your workouts and walks! Here’s hoping I can get him to go on a walk with me soon. I think it would make him feel better. He was thrilled and amazed at how fast the CT scan was forsure. Happy for you that your DH is going with you. Very nice.

Laurel: Your workouts are so amazing! Like Laurie said, I love the combos you put together. I’m just thankful right now to put in the DVD and hit play! LOL That step workout does not sound like something I would be good at by any means. Great that you are loving it and can keep up with the choreography. Despite not being able to stick to this month’s “rotation” by the book I love the concept of it as well. Hopefully this week I can get in a solid week of workouts.

Thelma: I am so sorry to hear about your horrible week and the stress of it all. Being in tears over your job is the WORST. So wonderful that your sweet hubby is trying to figure out a solution to get you the heck out of there. My DH was the same way at the old place ..... which was actually how I came here. He mentioned to his manager and the rest was history but before that small miracle happened he was telling me he would work 2 jobs before he would let me stay and be miserable. Big hugs for you and I hope your weekend goes really well. R&R.

Have a great weekend ladies! I am getting my hair done tomorrow THANK GOODNESS and then on Sunday I have a bridal shower for a friend I worked with years ago and now we see each other at the gym all the time. Should be nice. Talk to you all on Monday! Tami

Hi Ladies, I hope you had a great weekend. We had a very relaxing weekend. On Friday I did Cathe's Lean Legs & Abs. On Saturday Jessica Smith Quick Cardio Blast, Yoga Fat Burning Workout. Tonight Fit Split Push - Mixed Impact Cardio - Just Pull, Walking on Treadmill, Stretching.
I pre-ordered Cathe's new L.I.T.E. workout program + Bonus Pyramid Pump DVD. The program sounds like another winner!

I'm a little worried about my family in El Salvador because the country has been hit with a swarm of earthquakes since Sunday afternoon with magnitudes between 5.6 to 7. My aunt told me that at 7 PM someone announced on the news that there had been 300 quakes since the afternoon.

Laurie, great job with your workouts!!
I couldn't believe I was able to calm myself down last week at work. Once I got going with my meetings I managed to forget that I wanted to cry earlier. DH is really wonderful. I need to be strong about my job because I don't want to ruin our chances of retiring early. Vacation time is just around the corner and today I booked a little getaway weekend in NH in July.

Laurel, fabulous combo on Friday! Great job!
I am really fortunate that I have other women in situations similar to mine. My boss is really supportive and I know he wouldn't want me to leave the company. DH is really amazing. I know he is worried about my health and so are my aunts. My workouts are the reason why I am still sane and healthy. You're so sweet by worrying about my health too. Thank you!

Tami, sorry your DH is so frustrated about his Pulmonary doctor. I don't blame him though. How are lung fatty tumors dealt with? I'm so glad his regular doctor is going to check his lymph nodes will be tested too.
Great job getting workouts in when possible!
Thanks so much for the hugs. I managed to relax this weekend which was great. DH is really sweet. I feel that I have to stick it out at work as long as possible though. I just don't want to ruin our chances for early retirement. I need to do this for 2 more years. At least I know that I have a way out.

I hope you had a wonderful time at your friend's bridal shower!

    Good night ladies!!

    Morning Ladies,

Had a nice weekend to myself, so got a lot done. On Friday I did get in Honed Warrior. On Saturday I opted for taking it down a notch, but wanted to get something in so I did KCM's Body Design Kickboxing with Light Weight. Sunday was cardio, so I did KCM's Build & Burn Cardio Core (sure do love this one), and then afterward I did YW365 Stalking Warrior. This morning was F/S Push. The new Cathe workouts sound awesome, so of course I pushed the buy button. :D

Laurel, Awesome job with the workouts, and I'm really glad to hear that you didn't have to endure that crazy move. Other instructors do that move in their workouts, and I just do a more modified version. I love this version of workouts too, guess Jillian's concept is a good one. At some point in the future I have to finish her Body Shred rotation. That one is suppose to be really good. That is really nice that Cathe incorporates moves that she has done, I'm sure that her participants appreciate that also. Can you imagine what she would see if her class was just looking confused. ;)

Tami, Dang on not getting any good information from the Dr. Hopefully you where able to enjoy the weekend despite all of that. Great job on getting in your spin class and your KCM workout. I love those for when you don't have a lot of time. Hope that you had a good time at the shower too. I think that we are all on board for the new Cathe workouts, they really do sound good. I like that they are all low impact. I let DH slide on this mornings walk, he got home really late from work yesterday. Tomorrow is another story though.

Thelma, Great job with the workouts! That Pyramid workout really does sound good, or maybe it is the title. ;) That is very scary about the earthquakes! I hope that your family will be okay. I love that you are going on your vacation, and booked a get away weekend also. I think that I may take a day off work this week, so that DH and I can go see the new Marvel movie. It is nice to attend the theater when people are at work.

    Have a wonderful day!

Hi Ladies! Had a very quiet weekend. Did some chores, cleaned out some old clothing, did some grocery shopping, did some cooking, did some reading.....and did some workouts too! :) On Saturday, I warmed up with Cize Crazy 8s, then did Bob Harper’s Yoga for the Warrior. Yesterday was a fun kickboxing combo—Rock’m Sock’m Knockout (with Blizzard Blast) into Cathe Live Rock It Sock It Knockout. Today was F/S Push and, for cardio, IMAX2. And I added on the core work from Cardio and Weights at the end of my cardio.....just for fun.

Tami, hope you enjoyed the shower this weekend. I am sorry to hear about your DHs frustration though. Hopefully he will get some answer from the pulmonary specialist today. Poor guy.....I am still wondering why 2018 is being so tough on him...and you! I am right there with you on the new Cathe workouts. They sound great!

Thelma, I am glad you were able to relax this weekend. You constantly amaze me with your focus forward. You really do have a great attitude. Great workouts this weekend. Yikes on the earthquakes! No doubt you are concerned for your family because those are pretty significant tremors. Hope things calm down soon.

Laurie, great workouts this weekend. Sounds like the yoga is appealing right now. And, of course, the fun KCM workout! I wish the YW365 was more reasonably priced because it really sounds good. But until I truly commit to doing yoga more often, I just can’t justify it. One of the reasons I like Cathe step live is she messes up quite a bit. Sometimes she is the one standing there staring at her class and saying ‘what am I supposed to be doing?’ Always makes me laugh....and makes me feel better about all my mess ups too. :)

    Erika, hope you are well!

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies ~ I have to say my weekend was very nice. Saturday I ended up not getting my workout in however because my BFF txt and said she would be able to bump my appt up earlier. So I did that and then hit Costco, store and home. Did the usual laundry and cleaning up and then that evening we took one of our co-workers out to dinner. She just recently lost her husband of like 40 years and is alone, plus she lives near us and we said we were going to have her out. She thoroughly enjoyed it I think. She still has kids and grandkids near but it is sometimes nice to just go with friends Through her grief she is wanting to just stay home, so it is good she went.

Yesterday was CARDIO and I chose to do RWH Plyo #1 plus JS Cardio abs. Today’s workout will be BootCamp after work.

DH did call this a.m. after receiving an electronic phone message from the pulmonary doctor office to schedule an appt. He had been calling and calling and then they leave an electronic message. :s He called back and they were closed until today. UGH. So he goes in on Thursday, thank goodness. In the meantime he goes from very worried to “it is what it is” to “I don’t want to talk about it”.

Thelma: Sounds fantastic that you had a very relaxing weekend! Yay for you. Great job with your workouts as well. I also pre-ordered Cathe’s new L.I.T.E. program! I barely read through them all and hit “add to cart” LOL Sounds like it will be another winner, you’re right! I am not sure yet what the treatment will be. We don’t really know 100% what the CT scan is specifically so his appt Thurs. should clear it all up. We hope. He wants to just know the “what” and the “how” to treat it at this point.

Laurie: Sounds like a great weekend for you and excellent job as always with you workouts!!! Thanks or the well wishes for DH and the weekend. The shower was really nice. It was at a golf course right near our house and it was beautiful outside so they had the doors open and fun food, great gifts and just fun to see my friend so happy.

Laurel: Your weekend sounds like it was pretty nice! Productive, some fabulous workouts and quiet time. Excellent job with your workouts. The shower was very nice. I didn’t know many people there other than the bride-to-be but she was thrilled I was there. We have been friends through my old job and then just continued as friends because we are at the gym together. We are both wondering why 2018 is being so rough on him as well. He is pretty defeated right now and looking forward to finding out what they want to do and when he can maybe feel “normal”. Not even good, just normal is his hope right now. Feel so bad for him.

I was able to be by myself today ladies – my new trainee was sick. So tomorrow may be different but I hope to check in!

Hi Ladies, I left work at 3 PM today! It felt so good, and I was able to do a nice workout which included cardio: Fit Split Mixed Impact Cardio & Just Push, Stretching.
It's annual town hall meeting time! Tonight was part I. We left the meeting at about 10:15. I hope we're not there so late tomorrow night. I am going to leave work at 3 tomorrow again.

Laurie, glad you had a nice weekend, and you did awesome workouts too! Congrats on buying the new Cathe program! I can't wait to give it a try!
The Pyramid workout did sound good and of course, I had to buy it! My family is OK and my aunt says she didn't feel anything where she lives. There were about 383 tremors and 51 were felt. I can't believe my cousin was visiting the town where the epicenter was!!
What a great idea to take the day off to go on a movie date with your DH! Do it!

Laurel, glad you had a nice weekend! You sure kept yourself busy! Great workouts!
I am just trying to survive at work Laurel. I think I am trying to block things out so they don't hurt too much. At this point, my one-day-at-a-time is working very well for me. Some days are better than others. Today was a good day so I feel like I can make it 2 more years with more days like today.
I hope those tremors stop too.

Tami, glad you had a nice weekend too! Nice workouts!
So nice of you t take that lady out! I'm sure she really appreciated it.

Sorry your DH is going through this not knowing the 'what' period. I am sure he is feeling terribly frustrated and worried. I can't believe that pulmonary doctor doesn't have a receptionist answering his phone!
You are too funny about ordering Cathe's program without reading the workout descriptions! LOL

    Good night ladies!!

    Morning Ladies,

No workout last night, the traffic was just horrible. I'm guessing that it is the season for orange barrels. :p This morning was F/S Pull and I tacked on 15 min. form the beginning of KCM's Total Body Kickboxing. This DVD doesn't have any premixes that are short punching segments, so I made my own. DH was ready for our walk as soon as I came up from the basement. <3

Laurel, Sounds like you are exploring the Beachbody workouts again. ;) Awesome job on all the workouts, got to love the Yoga Warrior! Interesting on the live step workouts, that would make me laugh also. One of the nice things about having them live. I have seen the YW365 set for around $50, and that is the lowest I have ever seen them. If they surface at that price again, I will let you know. They are worth every penny as far as I am concerned. I'm just loving how my body is feeling with adding it into my routine. I have been able to run around the yard with Rocket, and not feel it in my bad knee. It might be that I'm running after him in my bare feet also. :D

Tami, Dang on the run around with the Dr., that has to be very frustrating for your DH. I can see his frustration with the progression that you are describing. The bridal shower sounds like it was a great time, have to love when an event has such great weather too. How nice that you where able to have your neighbor over, I'm sure that she enjoyed the time even though she is still grieving. Awesome job with the workouts, and including JS in there too.

Thelma, How nice that you left work early and got in your workout before the meeting. Hope that it works out that way for you again today. I'm taking Friday off, so DH and I will be going to the movie. The youngest dd and her bf came home from the movie yesterday, and where angry. They where frustrated that they have to wait a year for the part 2. :D Hopefully we will not feel that way on Friday, I can't stand cliff hangers. Glad to hear that your Aunt is okay, and your cousin too. How scary for her to be in the epicenter.

Erika, Hope your week is going well. Did you order LITE too?

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was F/S Pull followed by Cathe Live Bike Fever. Good stuff! I can’t believe we are in the last week of yet another month! I absolutely loved doing these Fit Split strength workouts for these four weeks. They really pack quite a punch into a short time frame. Love it! I pre-ordered Cathe’s new series this morning. Only seven more months of waiting. :o;)

Tami, sounds like a nice shower and a perfect setting. I am also glad you were able to spend some time with friends and are helping your one friend through her grief. No doubt she enjoyed the company. But I am so sorry to hear about the runaround your DH is getting with the Pulmonary Specialist. I can’t begin to imagine his (and your) frustration and concern. I have nothing but admiration for people in the health profession but, at times, I do think this is one profession that maybe should forget the ‘going electronic’ trend and stick with the human factor. I know there is a cost associated with that but........anyhow, my thoughts are with you both and fingers and toes crossed for solid answers on Thursday. Great job with the workouts!

Thelma, glad you had a better day yesterday. I hope that trend continues. Again, I think you have the best attitude. Hope the meeting isn’t so long tonight!

Laurie, ‘it’s the season of ‘every road is under construction’, isn’t it? I suppose we have to understand it.....but not necessarily like it. Yay for DH and the walking! That is a great trend. Yesterday morning, I called my DH and....no answer. It was nearly 10:00pm in Korea and I was a little confused where he might be. And rightfully so......because he was in the hotel gym! :o This is his first attempt at anything like working out in at least two years. Makes me happy to hear it. Sounds like a great workout this morning. And thank you in advance if you see the YW365 for that price. I could do that. I will be anxious to hear your thoughts on the movie Friday. After years of not watching any of the Marvel movies, I have been in such a mood for them this year. I am still playing catch-up.....and am enjoying them immensely. This new one looks so good!

See you tomorrow.....unless I decide to park myself for the day outside. ;) We are supposed to be near 70 tomorrow!! I even painted my toenails this weekend in preparation. B) Of course, we’ll be back in the 50s next week......but I am going to enjoy some warmth while we have it!

    Hi Ladies!!

I've been catching up on everyone's lives since I last was on here! Keeping active with the Cathe Live Workouts. I'm finding I enjoy the ones with weights much more than straight up cardio. I've noticed many of the kickboxing workouts are similar and some of her cardio are moves I'm a little burnt out on. But, the cardio/weight circuit workouts are my all time fave!

Lots of activity over in our household...lacrosse, hockey (yep, I guess the break was short lived!), sick kiddos, yard work (chopped down a huge tree this weekend), dog surgeries, and planning a 70th party for my FIL. Feeling a bit overwhelmed lately and work has been busier than normal. It will all pass, but just a little much for me all at once.

Thelma, I'm so frustrated for you. I've been in that same spot with work, and it's the absolute worst! I'm glad to hear your boss is hearing your frustration and helping to provide some relief. I'm also happy to her your hubby is so understanding too. Keep your chin up, one day at a time (that's what got me through) and get some "me" time in whenever you are able. I just keep hoping it gets better for you!!

Tami, how incredibly frustrating to have to sit and wait for answers! I have watched my hubby go through that last fall as he started having breathing trouble again and they had to do thousands of dollars in tests. Then, one of the lung scans came back with a spot, which meant more tests. In the end, it ended up being scar tissue from his bout of pnemonia several years ago. Hopefully you find the same, but the testing can be so stressful!

Laurel, more snow?!? I think it's time to move on to spring/summer now! :) Sounds like your hubby is doing well, but I'm sure that time difference will take some time to find the right "time" to chat that works best for you both.

Laurie, sounds like a perfect weekend with some downtime and also time get some errands out of the way. My kind of weekend! Yes, I did order Cathe's new series...so excited for more!

Loving all the workouts you all have going on! I enjoy hearing all the fun combos, short workouts, long workouts, classes, etc. I'm finding I've got to get creative with finding the time to get my workouts in (every day is a different time that I workout) and the Live workouts have been great for narrowing down a workout that fits my timeslot!

Hope you all have a great evening. I'm enjoying our night off of sports tonight and hoping everyone is well tomorrow so I can get back to work (tried to work while the youngest was sick and ended up having to stop early today to tend to medicine, food, and just playing mom)!

Hi ladies, I left work at 3 today but I wasn't feeling very energetic. I managed to do Total Body Trisets Lower Body Xpress, Treadmill, Stretching. We got home from the town hall meeting at 11:15 PM!! Very disappointing outcome too!

Laurie, great job getting a workout in this morning and congrats for getting your husband to want to do the morning walks!! So glad you're taking Friday off!
Too funny about your dd being angry because she has to wait 2 years for part II! LOL

Laurel, great combo today!!! I was also thinking that we were on the 4th week of this month's rotation! WOW! I really have loved the variety in this long rotation! Congrats on ordering Cathe's new workouts!!!

The meeting was so long tonight! :( At least work was another good day. I hope this good work days trend continues too.

Hi Erika! LOVE the boys' new picture!!! So glad you're still enjoying those Cathe live workouts!
OMG, you are super busy! I'm exhausted just reading everything you've been doing! Supermom!!!

I am trying to keep my chin up at work. I hope we have more good days than bad ones because good days give me the strength to keep going. I do get some 'me' time most Saturdays and I get a lot of sleep on weekends which is awesome.

    Hi Tami!

    Good night ladies!

    Morning Ladies,

I got in YW365 Seeking Warrior, I'm going to call this one the workout with twisting. :D This morning was cardio day, so I did KCM's Meltdown Workout 2. I must be in a boxing type of mood, need to get those buff arms for the summer right? :D DH was ready for our walk again, and we seem to be beating the rain.

Laurel, Great workout combo, and I have to agree with you on the F/S splits, they are great strength workouts and I'm hoping to do the combo again for a longer period. LOL about having to wait so long for the LITE workouts, I have that same feeling. If they can fix all the pot holes that surfaced through the winter, I'm okay with the barrels. To bad that the summer is always filled with them, and finding your way to and from places can get interesting. Awesome news for your DH being in the gym, that is great. I would love for my DH to just lift one weight. The ideal situation would be for him to join me in the one body part. Hmmm maybe I can convince him to try. I will let you know how I enjoyed the movie, since I'm used to dealing with cliff hangers from Star Wars. :D

Erika, Love that you are finding the workouts that you enjoy. Looks like the metabolic type workouts are the ones that you seem to be enjoying. I really like those too. You are super busy, it makes me tired just reading it. Sounds like you need a weekend like I just had.

Thelma, Glad that you got in your workout even though you had that dread factor. Too bad about the outcome of the meeting, that isn't fun. I hope that I'm not to disappointed in the outcome of the movie, everyone is so ready to talk about it here at work. I think I'm the last one to see it.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Enjoyed a super fun workout today. I started with Cathe Live High Intensity Cardio Step, which is a 40 minute workout consisting mostly of step blasts (no choreography), then I went into a Cathe Live step workout I hadn’t tried before called Steptastic. I don’t know why I had never tried it (it was filmed in 2015), but it was so much fun. Some choreography, some blasts.....really my favorite kind of stepping. I’m so glad I finally decided to do it. Anyhow, I finished my workout with the core work from Butts and Guts.

Erika, sounds like you are crazy busy right now! Hope things settle down, especially things like illnesses. No fun. Glad you are still enjoying Cathe Live. I completely agree about the weight workouts, especially the circuit and metabolic workouts. She really doesn’t have too many like some of those workouts on DVD, and they are so good. Love the new photo. They are growing up so fast!!

Thelma, yikes on the long meeting! That is a late night. I’m glad you were able to leave work early. Great job getting in a workout with all that going on. Hope the trend of good days at work continues.

Laurie, I like your description of that yoga workout. :) Yep, sounds like you are getting ready for summer. We had temps in the 60s yesterday, so I spent a few minutes outside in a tank top, getting my skin used to sunshine again. And I was thinking it’s time to get these arms toned up. Feels like I haven’t really seen them in months! Yay for DH continuing with the walks! I have tried to get my DH to do one body part a day workouts.....to no avail. :/ I’m like ‘It’s 10 minutes!’ But he thinks if he doesn’t lift like he used to lift in football practice back in 1982 when he was 17, he is wasting his time. What can you do? :# Anyhow, I hope your DH takes you up on that!

    Tami, hope all is well.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies ~ As I thought I was busy yesterday doing more training. She is coming along and today I haven’t had to sit with her as much, so that is good. Workout on Monday evening was BootCamp and it was a typical class of upper, lower and some cardio mixed in; she always does her sets in 1 minute of everything and/or 90 seconds. Yesterday I didn’t workout :(:( I hit the snooze button in the a.m. and then it was 80 degrees out and despite wanting to go to Insanity I knew she would do running again this week because of the nice weather.

This a.m. I decided on going off the trail a little bit and did Giants Sets Upper “Doubled” pre-mix and my plan is to do lower “doubled” tomorrow a.m. Spinning tonight.

Thelma: YIKES is right on the long meeting. Great job as always getting in your workouts. . . so you must have been up until like 1:00 a.m. or something crazy to get that done. Sheesh that is dedication lady. :) Congrats on being able to leave early the other day as well! I bet it felt great.

Laurie: Way to go on the workouts! How fun that you have Friday off and are going to the movie! I hope you have a great time (in advance) I took Bernie for a walk yesterday in the evening and our neighbors were out …. It was a really nice day yesterday. So they talked to me for a while and told me anytime they are home I can bring Bernie by to have a play date with their 2 dogs. (Lab and Newfoundland) so I said I would definitely take them up on it. Should be fun I hope for him. Great that your DH is going with you! I’m hoping after good news tomorrow DH will decide some exercise is in order for this year. We will see. Just not being sick or stressed will be a bonus for the year.

Erika: Sounds like a busy schedule as always for you! Great job with your workouts and congrats on your mutual purchase of the new Cathe series. I love that we are all getting it. LOL Thank you so much for your continued support with my DH and the comparison of what happened with your hubby. I really hope that is all it is from is scar tissue and/or something simple. In my mind I believe that but DH is really freaked that it is something more and will need to be operated on. Did you hubby have to have the scar tissue removed or it just stays there?

Laurel: Your workouts sound SO fun! Way to work my friend. I can’t believe we are in the last week of yet another 4 weeks gone by. Since I missed Monday and Tuesday this week of the F|S I decided to just make up for it by doing all upper and all lower today and tomorrow. So next week I was looking and your are going to do “One Body Part per Day” rotation? Congrats on your purchase as well! I have a feeling we will all be doing a rotation with that one at some point next year. Frustration and concern has definitely been the topic at our home. He doesn’t like to dwell or keep talking about it but I can see it in his face and little comments I know he is frightened. I truly hope to be celebrating some good news tomorrow. Fingers and everything crossed for me too. Thank you for your support.

I will check in with you ladies tomorrow ~ Tami

Hi Ladies, long day at work and to my surprise, I had energy left for a Jessica Smith Power Walking workout! I am happy to report that so far this week has been a good week at work. I was falling asleep during meetings today because of that last two late nights. So embarrassing! I had to drink extra coffee today to survive!

Laurie, nice workout choices!! So cool that your husband is now looking forward to those morning walks!! I hope you guys enjoy the movie.

Laurel, you sure were in the mood for step workouts today! Great job!
Definitely a long meeting but I feel that we have to attend these meetings because only a few show up and they get to make decisions for an entire town. So far so good with the 'good work day' trend! Thanks for the good wishes!

Tami, awesome workout with those Giant Sets! I don't blame you for skipping the running class! If I remember correctly your DH sees the doctor on Thursday. I hope things go well given that this doctor hasn't been the best in the communication department.
The meeting was long and yes, I was up until about 1 AM but not working out! I workout before the meeting. I'm not that dedicated. LOL

    Good night ladies!

    Morning Ladies,

Was able to get in another cardio workout with KCM's Raw Just Step after work, really do enjoy Kelly's no nonsense step. Or in my world no fancy moves. :D This morning was KCM's Raw Back and Body Revolution Workout #6. Walk with DH complete also!

Laurel, Great job with the workouts, and finding a new one/old one that you enjoyed. Sounds like we where in the same mind set with simple step workouts. That B&G ab workout is always a tough one. I'm so glad that the sun has been out, but it appears that we will be having rain for a few more days. I just love the fact that I'm able to grill again, it just tastes so good. I grilled up some burgers this past weekend, and they where so good. I will be working on DH tonight to see if he will lift, I'm sure he will have some excuse. ;)

Tami, Nice job on the Bootcamp class, and I would avoid the running too. :D Glad that the newbie is catching on and can be on her own more often, that has to be a good feeling. I think Bernie would have a great time with those two dogs, just his size to have some fun with. It seems the men in our lives don't want to do anything about their weight, I'm just hoping that I can convince my DH that his belly isn't something that he wants to be carrying around for years to come. I'm sure he would be more comfortable without it.

Thelma, Good job on the workout! Sorry to hear that you where taking a little nap during a meeting though. DH was sleeping this morning when I went upstairs to get my hoodie. He did get dressed and walked though, so I'm happy that he was motivated again.

Have a great weekend, I don't know if I will be getting on line tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! Today’s strength combo started with LIHI Chest, Shoulders and Triceps. For the lower body section, I did the standing work from Legs and Glutes. This workout is neither ‘push’ nor ‘front’.....but I enjoyed it anyway!! Tomorrow I will do the floor section only. For cardio today, I did Kick, Punch and Crunch.

Tami, I think your substitutions for this week with an all upper and all lower workouts are perfect. And you chose a good one to use too! I don’t blame you for skipping the Insanity:Running workout earlier this week. It is a shame you have to avoid the gym in nice weather, but that is still better than doing an unenjoyable workout or, worse yet, injuring your achilles. Hope you get some good news today on your DH. I am thinking about you both. And, yes, next week starts our one body part rotation. I had toyed with suggesting extending this current phase by two weeks because I am enjoying it so much (and Laurie said yesterday she wanted to do it again for longer). Any thoughts?

Thelma, great workout despite the long day. I am so glad you are having a relatively good week at work! Must feel nice not to end the day emotionally depleted.

Laurie, great workouts! Definitely seems like step workouts were the thing yesterday. We were over 70 yesterday for the first time since Labor Day weekend! Too bad it was cloudy, but it felt so nice to be warm! We are expecting the same today, but dip back down tomorrow for the next several days. But we already have fire warnings (despite the fact we have simultaneous flood warnings from the melting), so I am actually hoping for rain.

So I guess I will toss this out since I mentioned it to Tami......anybody want to continue the current Push/Pull for another couple of weeks? I have really enjoyed it and, honestly, my body is enjoying having three days off each week from any form of strength training. I am good to move on if everybody wants to as well, but Laurie mentioned yesterday she wanted to revisit this phase and do it longer in the future....and that got me thinking. So....blame Laurie. :D;):p Just kidding!!

    Enjoy the day!

HI Ladies ~ First things first since you have all been so supportive about my DH and his appointment. So the doctor told him it is a “fat pad” NOT a “fatty tumor” that a fat pad is something everyone has it is just not visible unless of course under a body scan like a CT scan. The enlarged lymph nodes are concerning he said but due to all the health issues/infections he has had this year they are in hyper sensitive mode and it would make sense as to why they are enlarged. He wants to re-check in a few months just to make sure they have simmered down. He did mention again that he needs to start doing some exercise. :o That some of the symptoms he is having are all in his head … pain in his chest or lungs hurt. He said someone with lung cancer doesn’t even have pain. To just relax, take better care of himself physically and mentally at this point and he will re-check the lymph nodes in a few months. So thank goodness! It was really what I was hoping he would say so I am so glad. DH looks like a huge weight was lifted off his shoulders forsure. Maybe he will finally sleep without nightmares tonight. :(:)

Spinning last night was a great class and this a.m. was Giant Sets Legs (Dbld). No workout tonight.

Thelma: Yay for a good week for you at work! That has to feel so much better, I’m glad. Thank you for the well wishes on DH. As you can tell from above all is good. The doctor used a much better approach this time it sounds like, not so abrupt. Took his time.

Laurie: Great job with your KCM Raw Just Step last night! No fancy moves is my kind of step workout forsure. Yay on the Back & Body + a walk with DH. Good for him. I truly, more than ever hope my hubby now listens to what this doctor told him and does something about it. A little exercise, there is no reason not too. Truly. Yes, my DH hates his belly one moment and then says he doesn’t care the next.

Laurel: Fabulous workout! That sounds like a nice combo and what a perfect cardio option! Thank you again for your encouragement on my workout choice(s). Also, for your positive thoughts on DH and thinking of us both, I appreciate that. I would be all in on continuing this rotation for a couple more weeks if you guys are up for it. It’s a great one! Nice that you have some temporary nice weather .... we have warmer temps coming again next week and sunshine. Just one day was nice this week - very random as it always is this time of year.

Hope you ladies enjoy the rest of your day ~ I will check in tomorrow! TGIF Tami

Tami, just checked in to see if you had posted about your DH. That is great news!!! I mean.....all things considering, of course. I am glad they are going to monitor the lymph nodes, but with all the infections this year, they probably are on over-drive right now. I hope you both just kick back and take some much needed deep breaths tonight.

And yay for a vote for continuing Push/Pull!

    More tomorrow.....

Hi Ladies, no workout for me tonight. I was exhausted but at least happy that this week is ending on a good note at work. I spoke with my boss about the different issues I've been dealing with and how I dealt with the problems. He said I'd dealt with the issues well and congratulated me because my team was doing very well. So that is very nice. I think this means his boss and my project lead are not complaining about me. That is good. Short week for me next week. I can't wait! Then the week of the 21st I'll be taking 1/2 day on Tuesday because I see the eye specialist and I have my visual field and optic nerve tests. I'll be working from home that morning. Then on the 26th, we fly to GA! I can't wait!
OMG, I had another meeting with my boss and I was seated across the table from him. I was falling asleep. This is after I was wide awake during our previous meeting. So embarrassing! I know he saw me! I'm surprised he didn't say anything during my 1-1!!
Not sure what I did yesterday but at the end of the day my knee was killing me. It feels like a muscle imbalance. It was a better today but still there.
I would like to try this workout over the weekend. I played it without sound so I hope the music is fun.
    https://youtu.be/Bcn8njlImgQ

Laurie, great job with the KCM step workout. Her step workouts are doable. I've been thinking about doing the boxing step workout lately. Have a great long weekend!

    Laurel, another winning combo!
I'm in for repeating this month's rotation. Also, I'm in with another thought you had a while ago on doing the following month's single body part for two months! Do you remember suggesting that?

Tami, so happy for you and your DH about his lungs! You both must be so relieved! I've heard the message about cancer not hurting before when I found a lump in my breast. My mind went into mental insanity overdrive mode! Not sure if that is a term but talk about your own mind driving you crazy!! Maybe he could start taking Bernie out for daily walks!

    Good night ladies!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was LIHI Back, Shoulders and Biceps and the floor work from Legs and Glutes. For cardio, I did F/S Mixed Impact Cardio into Cathe Live Move It. Fun stuff!

Thelma, I am glad you ended the week on a positive work note. It is always nice to get positive feedback from a boss! Looks like a fun workout. I will be curious how you like it. Yay for continuing with this rotation. I am thinking we do this Push/Pull for two more weeks, then the two months of one body part. And, yes, I remember that suggestion.....well, I at least have it written down which, anymore, is how I remember things. :o:#:)

Laurie, hope you are enjoying your day off!

Tami, again, I hope you and your DH were able to relax last night for the first time in months. What a weight off.

On a side note, DH has a tentative job offer......in Hawaii. :o We are still weighing the pros and cons of it, but, currently, we are leaning towards taking it. So possible uncertainty again in the future for us, but, somehow, I think I will feel more positively about a move to Hawaii than I did to Alaska. B):)

    Enjoy the weekend!

Hi Ladies and may I say in ALL CAPS – TGIF!!! :);):) This has been a very loooong week and I am happy to be here. I think DH slept really good last night for the first time in a very long time. So glad. He did say out loud last night how much better he felt. He said that doctor had a much nicer approach with him this time (probably due to the fear in his eyes and his BP was through the roof) so I was glad to hear that. At any rate, my fingers are crossed we can return to some normal for a bit. Workout this a.m. was Rock’m Sock’m and I will head to Spinning after work.

Laurel: You are so sweet to check in last night and see if I had posted about DH! Yes, all things considering and having to check back is WAY better than he was obviously thinking. He had literally put himself in the hospital having surgery I think . . . or worse. Way to go on the LIHI workout followed by some legs and cardio. What a fabulous combo. HAWAII!!! OMG I can imagine you are feeling like “yaaaaas” let’s go! That would be an exciting change of scenery forsure.

Thelma: Very nice to hear it was a positive meeting with your boss. Sounds like you have a nice schedule planned prior to your trip to GA! YAY for some half days. That is so funny about knowing he saw you in the snooze zone ….. glad he didn’t say anything. I would say DH was definitely in the “mental insanity overdrive” about a week ago so you can imagine where he was up until yesterday at noon. That doctor told him to relax or he was going to have a heart attack over his worrying. I did ask him about a local gym that a friend of his goes too that invited him to start coming. He said he “might” start going with him.

Hope you are having a great day Laurie ;)

Enjoy your weekend ladies! We are supposed to get some beautiful weather. Not sure what the plans are yet with my MIL but we will probably have them over or go to their place.

Talk to you all on Monday ~ Tami

Hi ladies, I hope you had a nice weekend. I did a lot of resting on Saturday and today I put my winter clothes away and got the summer stuff out. During the week I'll start thinking about the clothes for our vacation. It's been raining in Blue Ridge. I hope it's not raining when we're there.

I tried two new workouts this weekend and I liked them both. On Friday I did Tracey Mallett: FuseDance Cardio Melt Workout, I didn't think it had any music at first because I could hardly hear the background music. It wasn't until minute 7 that I started to hear the music. It was so faint that you would think there was no music at all. I actually didn't miss the music.
On Saturday I found a very old workout and I really liked it. Pilates Burns & Firm.
    https://youtu.be/47CpuDuXTrQ

On Sunday I did Fit Split Push - Mixed Impact Cardio - Just Pull, Walking on Treadmill, Stretching.

Laurel, great combo on Friday! OMG, a job offer in Hawaii!!!!! You must be super excited! I hope it works out for you guys! Is your DH back home?
It really felt good to end last week on a positive note.
I liked Tracey Mallett. I will be doing it again!
As always I've lost track of time with this rotation. According to my calculations, this will be the 5th week on this rotation. Is this right? When will we star the one body part routine?
I have to write things down too in order to remember them!

Tami, I hear you on celebrating Friday! Tomorrow I'll be asking "is it Friday yet?" Great workouts!
So glad your DH is feeling better, and that the doctor was nicer this time around!! Sounds like he's out of the "mental insanity overdrive" mode too! I hope he starts going to the gym with his friend.

Hi Laurie, I hope you had a nice weekend!!

    Good night ladies!
