Cathe Fans Part 5

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was Cathe Live Lots of Legs and a 45 minute spin. And mowing the lawn….which just about killed me in this humidity. But it is done. Anyhow, the leg workout was one I hadn’t tried before and was a really good workout because it was done in circuits of five exercises, usually three push and two pull exercises. Good stuff.
Thelma, great workouts. And I know exactly what you mean about the ball moves in that workout. It is one of the reasons I don’t particularly care for the workout….especially when biceps with a leg propped up on the ball. But every now and again it is good to pull out for something different, and I was actually pleasantly surprised by my balance this week. I wish we were having your temps right now. It isn’t as hot as it has been but the humidity has really kicked in. But this is the time of year when it is at its worst.
Laurie, oh my on your car!! I am so glad you were off the freeway at least when it died….and somebody was able to help you get to safety. Thank goodness you were paying attention and didn’t just say ‘I’ll figure out what that light is about when I get to work’. Anyhow, great workout this morning. I am toying with doing the Muscle Meltdowns. It is between them and CTX, but I am leaning towards the Muscle Meltdowns because I am lazy and she has ready-to-go premixes with warm-ups and cool downs already made. But I certainly don’t think you can go wrong with CTX. I love doing them as one body part because you can really challenge yourself with the weight.
See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Tuesday were Gina B's 3000 Steps, Pickleball, Walking Outdoors x 2, Fit Split Boxing Bootcamp/Legs & Glutes. I worked out 5 times today and did 18K steps. My legs are feeling tired!
During pickleball I noticed that I was feeling stronger, and my game showed it. Our friend noticed and she said to me: 'You're full of energy! You're making me tired!" LOL
We had a beautiful day today. It was mostly sunny; the humidity was pretty low and there was a nice breeze. Our highest temp was 85.
Laurie, what a way to start a workday! How much gas did you put in the tank before you ran out of gas? I'm so glad your DH got there so quickly to put gas in your tank. Thank goodness for the man who pushed you off the ramp!
Great workout!!!
I'm usually OK with the ball but Cathe had some crazy moves in that DVD. I love that your DH is getting more steps in and that he's helping with laundry. I don't trust DH to do the laundry!
You're right about the sound of those thick accents sounding like mumbles! LOL
Poor DH was very upset about our neighbor and cried a little this morning. We really liked the old man.
Laurel, fantastic workouts including the mowing! I'm glad you also enjoyed the push/pull workout and that you're having a good balance week. My balance hasn't been too bad. The pushups on that ball were a big NO for me. The bicep balance one was very hard.
I'm sorry you're suffering through that humidity. Hopefully you'll get some relief soon.
See you tomorrow!

Morning Ladies,
Today's workout was GHUTV Kickboxing + Core 1. I always enjoy doing a workout like this, since it gets in the one body part that I tend to miss.
Laurel, Love your workouts, and that leg workout sounds awesome. Like the one I did you get a lot out of a workout like that. Plus you tend to enjoy those workouts more, since you are not looking at the clock. Why do I keep forgetting about those Meltdown segments. You are right about the nice premixes. Now I will be mulling over the two options also. Glad that I asked. Hope that the humidity starts getting better in your area soon.
Thelma, Great job on your workouts, and the walking 2X! Awesome news on the energy level. I was only about 15 min. from our house when the car died. Can't imagine how it would have been on the side of the freeway. So far it is running like a champ. It has taken some time, and training, but DH is really good with the laundry. When he first started, some things where different colors. Sorry to hear that your DH has been having a hard time with losing you neighbor. Some people make such a lasting impression in our lives.
Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! I took the workouts down a notch today after the sweat fest that was yesterday. So today I did Cathe Live Upper Body Pump, Cathe Live Low Impact Cardio HiiT and then some Peloton yoga. That upper body workout is another one I haven’t done before. She starts with the pull muscles, then does shoulders—mix of push and pull—then did the push muscles followed by core. It was short and sweet and really good.
Thelma, fantastic workouts!! I am so glad to hear your energy is fully back, and that you are back playing Pickleball. Good news. I forgot about the push ups on the ball in the Push/Pull workout because…..I didn’t do them on the ball either. So you aren’t alone. I am sorry to hear your DH is grieving. Like Laurie said, some people just really touch us in special ways with their life.
Laurie, great workout. You are exactly right about not watching the clock during these workouts. When Cathe said this morning we were on our last muscle group-core-I was like ‘already?’. That is a good thing for me, especially on a day when I am feeling a bit tired. The only downside to the Muscle Meltdowns, though, is the premixes are x4 rounds which makes them a little longer. That doesn’t mean you can’t stop after the third round and add on another workout though.
See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my body was super tired on Wednesday, I had to dial my workouts down a few notches. I was seriously dragging, and my hips were hurting. It's a good thing it was a non-lifting day!
My workouts today were Jessica Smith Interval Training, Gentle Yoga and a couple of outdoor walking sessions. I did manage to do 13K steps.
We had another beautiful day here. The highest temp was 85, the humidity was low and there was a nice breeze. There was a passing shower at around 11am.
Laurie, great workouts!
I am so glad you were not in the freeway when your car died!
Good for you for training your DH to do laundry. I don't think DH would be bad at doing laundry. I don't like the way he folds things though.
I had serious energy on Tuesday. God only knows where that came from! LOL
DH got close to our neighbor when he was sick last year. We made sure he had food and DH would go visit him in the afternoons with Chico.
Laurel, great workouts! The Upper Body Pump sounds like a great workout!
I hadn't had that much energy in a long, long time so it was good to feel that energetic. I hope Thursday will be a better day for me!
Like I told Laurie, DH got close to our neighbor last year when he was sick. He lived alone but one his kids would be there almost every day. His house is the first house on our road. There are only three houses on this road. We have to pass his house every time we go out and come back home. It's very sad not to see him outside working on something.
See you tomorrow ladies!

Morning Ladies,
Today was the FitSplit Pull Day weight work only.
Laurel, You are picking out some really good live workouts, that upper body sounds interesting. I was looking at some of the premixes for the meltdowns, and the timesaver premixes don't tack on an additional round. I think that I can do them, and still do a 10-15 min. finisher. I enjoy the CTX workouts, but sometimes they just require to much equipment.
Thelma, Great job with all your workouts in spite of your energy level. Glad to hear that your weather was so nice. Those type of days are so enjoyable. I did have to laugh, my DH is a horrible folder of clothing. I don't understand how you can fold the laundry, and the clothes are wrinkled. That is one thing that I have not been able to get him to do correctly. I just handle the folding myself. How nice of your DH to visit with your neighbor, I'm sure that was very much appreciated.
Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! So for today’s workout, I decided to challenge myself to another 90 minute Peloton endurance ride. This is the second one I have done, the first one being several months ago. These rides challenge the mind more than they do the body, without question. But I enjoyed it. According to my bike, I burned 1700 calories and went 53 miles. I followed it with 20 minutes of yoga and even had energy left for a nice walk around the neighborhood. I have a feeling tomorrow I will be feeling not quite as energetic.
Thelma, great workouts despite a low energy day. After Tuesday and all you did, it is no wonder you were tired. I can see why your DH is upset about the death of your neighbor. What a kind man your DH must be. But it is funny because the one thing I trust my DH to do is fold the clothes. He is far more patient with it than I am (except for sheets…..he won’t fold sheets). It must be the military basic training in him that folds everything so precisely and neatly.
Laurie, great workout. And great idea to look at the time saver premixes! I didn’t even think she would have those options there. I keep telling myself I need to spend more time exploring all of the premixes….and then I always go back to what I always do. Anyhow, I agree that the muscle meltdowns have less equipment than CTX. And with the right weight, they leave a very nice burn in the arms.
See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Thursday were 3 outdoor walking sessions and Fit Split Push Day. I was definitely more energetic today.
We hit 87 degrees for a high today. It was actually really nice because of a breeze and low humidity. We had a passing rain shower and that increased the humidity. It was a bit muggy! We are getting heavy rain tonight.
Laurie, great workout!
So you have a horrible folder of clothes too! LOL I won't even attempt to teach DH how to fold clothes. I know this will sound crazy, but I never mix our clothes in the wash. I wash my clothes separately. Sometimes he leaves papers in his pockets, and it sticks all over the clothes in the wash. I won't have that happen to my clothes and I never remember to check his pockets.
Our neighbor's kids really appreciated that we helped their dad. One of his son's introduced us to the people at the funeral as his dad's neighbors and told them that we took care of him.
Laurel, you're a superwoman! Those Peloton rides are not easy! Good job! That's a lot of miles and calories! You probably won't be energetic tomorrow, but I'm sure you'll do some other tough workout! LOL
DH has a big heart. When we moved here, we were told our neighbor wasn't friendly at all. I made it a point to introduce ourselves and to always stop by to say hi whenever we drove by and saw him outside. Once he got sick last year, I would make extra food so DH could take it to him.
No doubt that your DH is a good folder of clothes because of his military training. I don't blame him for not liking to fold sheets! They are a pain in the neck, especially the fitted sheet!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Morning Ladies,
This morning's workout was GHUTV Kickboxing HiiT 2. Fun workout. I'm leaving work early today, I have to go to the DMV to get my license renewed.
Laurel, WOW!! Such a great job on the ride! I can't even imagine that kind of calorie burn, and all low impact. I think that my mind is made up, and I will be doing the Meltdowns. It has been forever since I have tried those. I would imagine that having a military background would be good for the clothes folding.
Thelma, Great job with the workouts! Glad that you are having such great weather. We also have been having that type of weather, and I hope that it continues into the weekend for us. I would like to enjoy some time outdoors without overheating. My dd's used to leaving things in their pockets, so understand why you wouldn't want to mix the clothes. They would leaving chap sticks, and once those got in the dryer we had oil stains on our clothing. How nice of the son to do that at the funeral.
Have a great weekend!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was Cathe Live Kickboxing and Core followed by Cathe Live Push/Pull. I feel no effects from that long workout yesterday, but I made sure I drank a ton of water through the day, had good protein last night and a little extra salt. I won’t do rides like that very often for sure, but I am glad I did and am not suffering for it.
Thelma, great workouts. Glad you were feeling better yesterday. I so wish we had your weather. We were in the high 90s yesterday, humid (heat index over 100), and our 80% chance of rain ended up being no rain at all. They are still promising rain over the weekend with some slightly cooler temperatures but I no longer believe them. I don’t blame you are a minute not washing your clothes with your DHs. My DH does the same with things in his pockets. Drives me crazy.
Laurie, great workout. And great choice of workouts for next week. I will be there with you on them, and am actually really looking forward to another one body part week next week. It seems to give me lots of options for add-ones, which I like. Hope you had fun at the DMV!
See you Monday. Enjoy the weekend.

Hi Ladies, I hope you had a nice weekend. Ours was nice and very busy.
There was a problem with our fridge and DH fixed. We had to take everything out of the fridge in order for him to open the inner back of the fridge. This gave me the opportunity to give the refrigerator a deep cleaning.
We had a very rainy weekend too. Thankfully we didn't have violent storms, but we did get a lot of rain on Saturday and Sunday.
My workouts on Friday were: Gentle Flow Yoga, Walking Outdoors, Jessica Smith Power Walking and Fit Split Pull Day.
Saturday: Jessica Smith Power Walking and Walking Outdoors.
Sunday: Walking Outdoors x2 and Ramped Up Upper Body Back x3 premix.
Laurie, great kickboxing workout! I hope you were able to get your license renewed!
I'm glad you've been having nice weather and I hope it continued into the weekend too. OMG with the melted chapstick in the dryer!
Laurel, great workouts and how wonderful that you didn't feel any effects from that long Peloton ride!
I truly hope you got some of the rain we got all weekend. I was actually chilly when I went outside late Sunday morning. You've really been having very hot temps. We've been really lucky with the low humidity. I totally understand about not believing the weather people!
I'm glad I'm not the only one having issues with our DH's leaving stuff in their pockets. It drives me crazy too!
Have a great week!

Morning Ladies,
Had a very nice weekend, our weather has been so nice. We did spend the morning on Saturday putting down some mulch, something that we had neglected to do in the spring. We also took a walk, since the weather was so nice. On Sunday I was busy with getting my nieces bridal shower gift complete. I also did the Muscle Meltdown Timesaver premix Back, didn't do the stretch because I followed that up with Kelly's RAW Egg Weight Finisher and then back to the stretch from the MM. This morning I did the MM Timesaver premix Chest, and then Kelly's RAW Cardio Finisher and then the stretch.
Laurel, Great job with the workouts, and not having any after effects from your long spin workout. I really am enjoying the one body part, it works so well with all the finishers that Kelly has put up on her site. Can't say that I had fun at the DMV. When I first walked in there was a line, but it was moving fairly fast. I think that I was in there about a half hour. I came prepared though. I can't believe all the people that didn't have their forms all filled out.
Thelma, Glad that your DH was able to fix your fridge. Awesome job with your workouts. My license is all renewed, and I should have my new one in 1-2 weeks. The lady was super nice, and very talkative. Most of the time they just seem to be robots. DH said that I really went at a back time, because it was the end of the month. I just wanted everything done so I didn't need to worry about it.
Here is a pic of the bridal shower gift, the doilies are ones that my Mom made.
Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Ours was nice. DH got home mid-day on Saturday and brought rain with him. We did manage to get a short walk in Saturday afternoon, though. Yesterday was rainy in the morning, then cleared and but, then rained all evening and today has been all rain so far. Much welcomed, especially with temps in the low 80s. We did get yard work done yesterday, ran some errands and such. All in all, it was a pretty quiet weekend for us.
For workouts, on Saturday I did two walks from Jessica’s Six Mile Mix and Match Walk DVD, followed by 45 minutes of yoga. Yesterday was ICE Muscle Meltdown Triceps x 4 premix into Cathe Live Cardio Leg Block Party. Today was ICE MM Back x 4 premix, followed by a 45 minute spin and 30 minutes of Pilates.
Thelma, great workouts. I am so glad your DH was able to fix your refrigerator. Our weather was much nicer this weekend. While the humidity is outrageous right now, the cooler temperatures are a very welcome break. I thought about you this weekend as I was doing DHs laundry from his trip. Somehow I found a USB cable in my washing machine.
Laurie, great workouts. And I love the gift! That is so beautiful. I remember you mentioning the concept of it, and I love the look of the finished project. Great job. I need to get my drivers license renewed this year as well. I am not looking forward to it at all. But at least they do appointments, which helps….a little.
See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Monday were Gina B Latin Party, YinYasa Yoga, Walking Outdoors and Ramped Up Upper Body Shoulders x3 premix.
We had a very rainy Monday. It looks like we're done with the rain for now.
Laurie, I'm so glad you had nice weather during the weekend and that you got your license renewed! Sounds like you lucked out with your timing at the DMV!
I LOVE your niece's bridal shower gift! What a beautiful treasure for her to have!
Great workouts!
Laurel, I'm glad you had a nice weekend, that your DH is back home and that you finally got some much-needed rain!
Fantastic workouts!!
Thank God you finally got some relief from that heat! It looks like we're going to be in the mid-80's for the rest of the week.
Funny about the USB cable in the wash! I found one of DH's memory stick in the wash!
See you tomorrow!

Morning Ladies,
Not a great night of sleeping, my sinuses where going overtime with a headache. After getting up and moving around, it did get much better. My workout was one that I don't usually do, To The Mat. Felt it was the perfect one to do today, and of course getting all the body parts that I don't have fun with out of the way.
Thanks for the kudos on the gift, I am very please with it.
Laurel, Great job with the workouts! I'm sure that the rain is something that is needed, but dang on your DH hauling that rain with him. Hopefully you have the same experience renewing your license. I was glad that they had so many windows open, so that is probably why it moved so fast. LOL about finding the USB cable in the wash.
Thelma, Love the workouts! Hope you are enjoying those Ramped Up body parts. I think that I did luck out with the DMV. For some reason I was having a dream last night about dogs. Must have been because I saw something on the Humane Society's web page about a lot of beagle puppies. (And no I don't want a beagle, they howl to much ) Then I thought how are your two doing lately? Are they adjusting to being brothers?
Have a great day!
Laurie0 -
Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a good one. I did the ICE premix that included Chiseled Lower Body Blast, the Blizzard Blast, Muscle Meltdown Shoulders and Icy Core 2. And just to keep things consistent, I did the shoulders 4x instead of three. It was long (about 100 minutes with the added shoulder work), but there was enough variety in it to make it not feel like it went on forever. I also just got home from a nice walk. Of course, I got home only to read the news that this July was the hottest on record for Huntsville. No wonder the temp today of 86 felt so good!! That was about the coolest day we had in July.
Thelma, great workouts. I love those RUUB premixes. Our day was rainy yesterday as well. It was wonderful. I don’t think we’ll see any more for the rest of the week, though.
Laurie, I am sorry to hear about the lack of sleep. Hopefully your sinuses continue to feel better. Great choice of a workout. The older I get, the more I find myself appreciating those types of workouts.
See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Tuesday were Gina B 4000 Steps, Walking Outdoors x2 and LITE Pyramid Pump Lower Body.
I fell down and landed on my behind on a small rock. I was trying to get the chickens to go up the hill and into the coop and I took a couple of steps up our crumbling clay hillside. I do this every day but today I could feel my feet sliding backwards. I don't know why I didn't lean forward but it all happened so quickly. I stuck my hands out behind me and I think they broke my fall. I landed on my right buttock on a small rock. So far, I'm OK and I went straight to the basement to do the Pyramid Pump Lower Body workout.
Temps warmed up today. What a difference a day makes. We had been in the low 70's the last two days but today we were in the mid 80's with a heat index of 96.
Laurie, sorry your sinuses are acting up. I'm glad you felt better after you got up and moved around. Good job getting that workout in!
I am enjoying the Ramped Upper Body parts workout, but the shoulder one was brutal!
We had to get new licenses when we moved here in 2019. I better check to see how long licenses are good for in GA! Our DMV ladies were very nice and there was no wait.
The dogs are doing great. Chico finally got over his jealousy, but I felt like he was sort of displaced. Louie is a go getter when it comes to getting attention and Chico not so much. If we're petting Chico, Louie jumps in the middle of the action and steals the show. Now we're making sure Chico gets plenty of attention. The boys don't play together. I'm not sure they know how. They do get along well though.
Laurel, great workout! I don't think I could've done shoulders X4! My shoulders were fried after yesterday's RUUB workout!
I think we broke heat records here too. Our weatherman actually got the heat part right for a change! He said July was going to be unusually hot.
I'm glad you got to enjoy a few rainy days too!
See you tomorrow!
Thelma0 -
Morning Ladies,
This morning was MM Timesaver premix Shoulders and then I tacked on RAW Abs Finisher. So far this is a really good week, that I'm going to have to remember, so that I can do it again for a longer period of time.
Laurel, Nice workouts and getting in a walk. Hopefully when I get home it isn't raining, will be good to get a walk in also. Or if it is raining, then I can could get the dust off of the elliptical. Just feel like I could use a little extra. It is funny to realize that the high 80's doesn't feel as warm. I have noticed that we have had more windy days this year. Not getting eaten by mosquitoes is one of the things that I noticed, so the wind must be keeping those nasty things away. I slept like a rock last night, plus the humidity went down. So much better sleeping without that humidity.
Thelma, Dang on the slip and fall, hopefully you feel okay today also. I'm impressed that you proceeded to do your lower body workout too. Awesome job with all your activities. Good news that the boys are getting along. Funny how personalities of animals are just as different as humans.
Have a great day!
Laurie0 -
Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was ICE Muscle Meltdown Biceps x4, a 45 minute spin and the Perfect 30 extended stretch. And a nice walk.
Thelma, great workouts. I am sorry to hear about the fall. Hopefully you aren’t feeling it today. I agree about the shoulder work in RUUB. That, for me, is by far the toughest segment. We are going to continue being warm for awhile but we are about 5 degrees cooler than where we have been and it makes a huge difference. I have read a couple of articles recently about when the human body starts reacting negatively to heat, and for a long time scientists thought it was 95 degrees. But there is some thought now it is 88. And, honestly, that is about where our temperature difference is right now, and I’m think 88 is closer to being the right answer than 95, especially with humidity.
Laurie, great workout. Glad you were able to get some rest with the drier air. Good sleep makes all the difference. I am glad you are enjoying this week’s workouts. I really am too. We had a bizarrely windy spring, so I guess you are getting that now. We are the opposite this summer, though. One of my favorite things in the summer is to sit on our deck, lean back in my chair and watch the trees swaying in the breeze. Most nights this summer we don’t even see a leaf move. No doubt that is one of the reasons the heat is getting to me this year.
See you tomorrow.
Laurel0 -
Hi Ladies, my workouts on Wednesday were Gentle Flow Yoga, Walking Outdoors x3 and Ramped Up Upper Body Triceps x3 premix.
Thankfully I've not felt any back issues due to my fall. I really think that all the walking/moving has helped a lot.
Laurie, great workouts! I'm glad you're enjoying this week's workouts.
Thank goodness I feel ok. I think the allowing myself to get stiff after the fall would've been bad, so I worked out.
DH was sitting on the sofa and the dogs were in the livingroom. I decided to give DH a hug, you should've seen Chico jump out of his little and run to the sofa to growl at me!
Great workouts! I'm glad you've been able to resume your walks!
I am so thankful that I'm not feeling anything due to the fall.
I agree with you and those scientists that 88 is the temp when the human body starts acting negatively to heat.
See you tomorrow!

Morning Ladies,
This morning was Muscle Meltdown Timesaver premix Biceps, and RAW Kettlebell Finisher. Loved that combo.
Laurel, Love the workouts! We also enjoy just sitting outside on our patio. I'm sorry to hear that there isn't that nice breeze going for you though. I guess that we need to enjoy it while we have it. What type of circuit workouts are you planning for next week? I'm probably going to be doing some of the Chris Freytag ones that I have.
Thelma, Liking all those workouts! Hope that your body continues to feel okay. Sometimes the day after is when you start feeling other parts that got impacted. Chico sure does like your DH. Our last dog didn't like people or even DH hugging me. She always tried to get in between us.
Have a great day!
Laurie0 -
Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was ICE MM Chest x4 and another ICE workout I haven’t done in forever…..Low Impact Sweat and Blizzard Blast premix. I never really ‘got’ this workout, but today was one of those days I enjoyed it.
Thelma, great workouts. I am glad you weren’t feeling the effects of your fall yesterday. Hopefully you are saying the same thing today. I know that walking definitely helps keep my body feeling looser than it otherwise would, especially if I take a walk after a tough lower body workout or spin. Sometimes I have to talk myself into it, but when I do, I always feel better after.
Laurie, great workout. Love to see you getting kettlebell work in this week. Mine continue to collect dust. Oh well. I know I am going to try at least two new (to me) Cathe Live workouts next week. One is from a few weeks ago called Upper Lower Combos where she apparently does an upper body move, a lower body move, and then puts them together. Sounds interesting to me and should be pretty metabolic. Then she filmed one today that is called Core-tensive Strength and Conditioning. It is supposed to be a total body workout that engages the core throughout. She has filmed two others like this recently, and there were some interesting balance moves and different ways of holding weights to engage the core. So I want to try that. So, in other words, it may end up being a metabolic workout week for me that focuses more on the use of weights than cardio because the other two workouts I am eyeing up right now are Flex Train and ICE Metabolic Total Body. I am not sure it would be wise to do all of those in a week so….we’ll see what it ends up looking like.
See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Thursday were Gina B 3500 Steps, Ramped Up Upper Body Back x3 premix, Walking Outdoors and Perfect Pump: Lower Body.
I had STS Disc 14 - Legs for Thursday. There was no way I could do that, so I went with the Perfect Pump Lower Body workout. It was perfect.
I woke up feeling the effects of the fall. My lower back was very stiff and felt that the wrong movement could make it worst. I did a lot of stretching and Gina B always helps me move my hips which helps a lot. I had to take an Aleve, which is something I like to avoid as much as possible. I was much better by the end of the day though.
Thank you again for revisiting the last two weeks in our rotation with me. It's worked out perfectly because next week is more of a recovery week and I have a colonoscopy scheduled for next Thursday.
Laurie, great workouts!
As long as I keep moving my back will be OK. The problem is not moving and getting stiff.
Chico and Louie adore DH. The feeling is mutual. Louie has to do whatever Chico does, so he started barking when Chico barked at me even though he had no clue what he was barking at! LOL
Laurel, great workouts! Good job doing the x4 premixes. The x3 premixes are hard, so I can only imagine how hard the x4 ones are!
My back felt a little stiff and achy today. I just knew I had to keep moving in order to prevent myself from getting stiff. It really is a good idea to walk after a tough lower body workout.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Morning Ladies,
This morning's workout was MM Timesaver premix Triceps, and RAW Stretch Finisher. Thought that would be a good way to end the week. Just planning on doing a kickboxing workout tomorrow. The girls and I are going to my nieces bridal shower tomorrow, so I will have to get up at my normal time for my workout. We have about a 4 hour drive.
Laurel, Great job with the workouts, and of course enjoying a workout that you didn't in the past. Your workouts for next week are going to be awesome. Sounds a lot like what I'm planning with Chris's workouts. Nice that you are able to do a lot of the live workouts for this also. I love Metabolic, so doing that for a whole week is going to be interesting.
Thelma, Love the workouts! Dang on the back, but we all know that you will take very good care of yourself. I did LOL about Louie barking at you even though he doesn't understand why. They are such creatures of habit. I actually enjoyed revisiting all the workouts again. Now I'm onto my favorite type with circuits.
Have a great weekend!
Laurie0 -
Hi Ladies! Today’s workout started with Cathe Live Standing Legs, which she filmed last week. This was a really good no-nonsense lower body workout that I will, no doubt, be visiting again. I followed it with the core work from MMA Boxing and a 30 minute climb spin from Peloton.
Thelma, great workouts. I am sorry you were feeling your fall yesterday. I am so glad you didn’t attempt that STS workout with a sore back! Sounds like next week’s workouts will be perfect for you. I haven’t minded revisiting these weeks for a minute…..so thank YOU!!!
Laurie, great workout and a nice stretch is always a good way to end the week. I am looking forward to next week’s workouts and hope to find some other workouts I have not tried to add in. That always makes the week more interesting. Hope you have a great time at the shower.
Enjoy the weekend!

Hi Ladies, I hope you had a nice weekend. We had a busy but nice weekend. We also got rain on Friday and Saturday. I actually managed to do a little gardening on Saturday!
One of my yoga friends and her family own an 83-acre farm. She let us hold a restorative and sound healing yoga class at her farm to celebrate one of the ladies who was just diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. We all brought a dish and had lunch after the 1.5 hour class. I had never done a sound healing class and it was very interesting to hear the different sounds. It was a beautiful and relaxing experience. I left my house at 9:30 and returned at 4PM! I felt very relaxed and tired, but as soon as I got home, I did a
My workouts on Friday were: Restorative and Sound Healing Yoga, Gina B's 3000 Steps, Walking Outdoors and Ramped Up Upper Body Bicepsx3 premix.
Saturday: Gina B Power Walk and Walking Outdoors.
Sunday: Jessica Smith Power Walking, Walking Outdoors and LIS Turbo Barre.
Laurie, great workout! I hope your niece's bridal shower was a lot of fun.
Laurel, great workouts!
I hope you got some rain over the weekend. Our temps this week will be in the low 80's during the and high 60's at night. One night show 59 for a low in my weather app.
Have a great week!

Morning Ladies,
The bridal shower was fun, and she was surprised. She didn't want a shower, because she doesn't like people looking at her. Everyone seemed to really like the doily window. On Sunday I was getting the same nieces quilt ready to send out for quilting. I realized that this quilt was to big for me to handle. My mom gave me some $ for the quilt, so that is why I'm sending it out. They should have it finished 2 weeks after they get it. Plenty of time before the wedding.
I didn't workout on Saturday like I wanted to, I slept in to late. On Sunday I did workout, so started the circuits. My workout was RAW Circuit Training 2, and I did two rounds for a total of 60 min. This morning was Kelly's Kettlebell & Kickboxing. I think that I will be mixing in some Chris, not sure yet. She has some bodyweight workouts that will fit well into this circuit type week.
Laurel, Nice job with those workouts. I know you are probably just as excited about this circuit week as I am. I don't know what it is, probably the constant change of exercises. I'm probably going to have to do just one day of stretching or yoga. I am feeling the need for more stretching. I should probably have done a shorter workout on Sunday, and then added in the stretch. I have not done a long workout like that in quite a while, so felt that I just needed to jolt the body a little.
Thelma, Sounds like an interesting yoga class. Great job finishing up your one body part week, and all the other workout this weekend. We have been getting a lot of rain also, of course it has been super humid too. Rocket wouldn't go out this morning because it was raining to hard.
Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Ours was good. We played golf on Saturday and were lucky enough to get off the course just as the storms hit. Yesterday was chores, but we also took a nice, long walk.
For workouts, on Saturday I did Jessica’s Cardio Ball Blast and 45 minutes of yoga. Yesterday was Cathe Live Upper Lower Combos, which was a really good moderate total body workout that was only 40 minutes long. For cardio, I did Cathe Live Boxing and Leg Blasts. Today, I did another Cathe Live workout I missed from six months ago which was Functional Fitness Circuits. This was a tough workout! It was really interesting with a wide variety of compound moves. My heart rate was up throughout, but I still managed to tack on a 30 minute spin. Good stuff.
Thelma, great workouts. I am sorry to hear your friend was diagnosed with cancer, but what a positive way of letting her know you all care. And that yoga sounds amazing. We have had storms both days this weekend except they forgot to bring the rain. Lots of thunder and lightening and some wind….but no rain. Oh well. At least the storms cool things down a bit, though the humidity is managing to remain very high.
Laurie, I am glad all went well with the shower and that your niece was pleasantly surprised. Great workouts! I bet it felt good to get a solid 60 minutes in on Sunday just for something different. I am definitely going to try to get one decent length yoga class in this week and, hopefully, some more extended stretches as well. I was feeling very tight at the end of last week, but the yoga on Saturday really helped. I just need to do it more than once a week!
See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Monday were Gina B 2700 Steps, Peloton Focus Flow: Hips and Core, Walking Outdoors and Boss Bands Upper Body Premix.
The first Peloton yoga class I chose was in Spanish and I didn't bother to read the description! It's a good thing I speak Spanish! LOL. It was actually a great hip flow, and I liked the instructor a lot.
Lots of thunder here today but no rain.
Laurie, I'm glad you enjoyed the bridal shower. I hope your niece enjoyed her shower too.
I had no idea you could send a quilt out to be quilted! Sounds like a quick service too! Will you now continue working on your DD's quilt?
Great idea to sleep in on Saturday! Great workouts!
I am so glad our humidity has been on the low side lately! Awww! I don't blame Rocket for not wanting to go out in the pouring rain!
Laurel, I'm glad you were able to play golf before the rain!
Great job with those workouts! I am confused about the rotation now! I thought we were going to also revisit the Band and/or Body Weight week after the One Body Part week. Sounds like you and Laurie are doing Circuit instead. Did you skip the Split Sets Heavy week? I guess I'll be a week behind you going forward.
The yoga class was really good. I didn't think I would care for the sound portion, but I liked it a lot.
We're getting the same 'dry' thunderstorms here too!
See you tomorrow!

Morning Ladies,
This morning's workout was GHUTV Jab Punch Crunch HiiT. Of course this one was fun!
Laurel, Great job with those workouts! I'm impressed that you where able to do all that. I was really glad when my 60 min. workout was over with. That is probably the most time I will put into a workout. Glad that you where able to get in some golf before the storms. I agree with you on doing more yoga. I'm scheduling my Friday to be my yoga day. I think that I will need it by the end of this week. I'm loving these circuits, and I'm slow getting out of bed in the morning. Like you said, I think I need to make sure that I do a little more stretching in my legs after my workouts. That seems to be the most affected area. These compound moves really work them a lot more than just doing a couple lower body workouts during the week.
Thelma, Nice workouts! I like the sound of the hips/core workout. That always reminds me of Eoin Finn with his hip opener practice. Now that I mentioned his name, I'm going to pencil his workout into my Friday. That will be nice to workout with him again. He has some workouts on youtube that I have not tried out yet. I'm working on so many projects, and my dd's guilt is just one of them. I usually dedicate about a half hour each day to one of my projects. It is a slow but steady way to do the quilting on her quilt. I may get it done by the end of the year. This lower humidity is so wonderful.
Have a great day!
